I still come here because Yuka, Kate, and now Ivy do such a good job thinning out my hair. Much attention to detail ( and I have a lot of hair!). They don't take credit; debit or cash only.

I started with virgin black Asian hair with the goal of an ashy-but-still-yellow blonde with shadow roots. I also got a haircut, so the entire process took 6 hours, practically from opening to closing lol Ai was very meticulous and took care to apply bleach and everything carefully all over the place. I wore a mask during this process and was a bit worried it may interfere with hair around my ears, but it was actually okay! The end result was a bit ashier than I requested, but it was because as I wash my hair (using blonde shampoo as suggested, not purple shampoo) it would get more yellow. My hair defiantly did feel drier afterwards but that was to be expected. It definitely wasn't as dry as I thought it would be haha I also got an Oleplex treatment there. The total for my hair cut + bleaching + balayage colour and shadow roots + treatment + tax + 20% tip was about $700! It's a lot, yes, but I do think it was a very nice job! I admit that I don't think the shade I chose suited me too well LOL but I hadn't asked Ai for a colour recommendation, so entirely my bad. As the colour "faded" and became yellower, I think it actually suited me a bit better. However, the colour didn't differ too strongly from initial appointment to 6 months later. The shadow roots were really well done and blended in with my natural root growth super well and unnoticeable. The second appointment I had was 6 months later, as Ai had recommended for the health of my hair lol this time I had Yasuka since Ai was unavailable. I had the goal of a more pink or pink-peach shade because I thought it would suit me more, plus some dark pink-ish shadow roots. I consulted with Yasuka for her colour opinion this time too! The total process took about 5 hours total. Yasuka was very meticulous with her root application to avoid breakage at the areas that were previously bleached. I still wore a mask throughout this appointment, and it defiantly got in the way of a few stray hairs around my ear that got a bit less love from the colouring process. However, I don't think it mattered too much because the end result was really nice! According to Yasuka, this was actually her first time doing pink on someone haha but it was really good! It was much more of a darker pink that expected, but it would fade quickly with each wash since pastel/pink colours don't hold too well in general. I also got an Oleplex treatment this time too, while Yasuka also commented that my hair was dry AF and I should use a hair mask (I'm sorry I didn't use one this whole time). The total for my long roots touch up + colour and shadow roots + treatment + a tub of 007 keratin hair mask for home use + tax + 20% tip was about $550! A bit less than last time but still a lot, however I love the colour so much more! I will admit I got some pink dyed pillows from possibly excess dye on the back of my head that didn't get fully washed. The darker shade was very nice and I think it suited me quite well! After the first wash, it pretty much instantly went to a light pastel pink/peach and after a 2nd wash it's actually held at about the same colour so far. I'm liking the pink/peach and hoping to get a pink hair mask to keep it pink-ish. Overall, I've had quite a positive experience from Seefu! I think the staff are all very knowledgeable and do a great job with your hair. The prices are indeed a bit high, but a lot of the salons in the area are similar price based on quotes I got from the area. I would recommend Seefu for y'all asian girlies looking to do blonde colours!

The online booking system doesn't even provide a bang trim option. I get prioritizing full cut and colour apts for the money but, from a customer service perspective this is terrible treatment. As a QTBIPOC I can't help but wonder if this is typical Karen behaviour. This is especially so based on comment about textured hair. I won't be back and suggest others take their service elsewhere, especially if you are of the Global Majority.

So I saw a Groupon and some great reviews for this salon and went ahead to book an appointment. The salon is clean, easy to find, very open and well lit. You immediately feel comfortable. My stylist was the lovely Marjorie, the sweetest Irish girl you'll ever meet. She took time to discuss my hair and what I wanted and she made sure I was comfortable with everything at every step of the way. She even happily took photos for my before and afters!! I ended up cutting over 14 inches for Locks of Love and thanks to Marjorie, was completely comfortable and very very happy with the cut. She gave me choices and suggestions and wasn't afraid to let me know when something else would work better than what I had in mind. She's experienced and also wonderful company. I would recommend her for everyone!! I am now happily rockin my new style and the best part is that I love it because Marjorie took the time to make sure of everything before taking the scissors to the hair! Wow, Liz and Sumi certainly worked their magic on my hair. My appointment started out with a thorough consultation to understand my hair type, my face type and how I style my hair on a daily basis. Then, we proceeded to a trim to the side of my head and at the back of my head. Sumi asked lots of great questions and walked through every step of the process to make sure I was aware of the procedures and communicated what was going on, which I really did appreciate. Then, we proceeded to the application of the solution which was pretty cool as it was 3-person teamwork project to apply solution while putting my hair into curls. It was actually a fun experience. The final reveal of my hair was amazing. I was in awe of how my dull and boring thick black horn could look naturally shaped with the curls. The style was clean and smart and the staff provided helpful tips to ensure that I can maintain my look for a long-term basis. I highly recommend this spot if this is your first or ongoing perm appointment. It was one of the most pleasant experiences, especially for this person who does not like sitting in a chair for long periods of time.

I live in NY so I have a U.S. bank and wasn't able to pay the $20 deposit because I don't have e-Transfer, but I emailed the salon and they said it was no problem and not to worry about it. I was able to use my Visa credit card (they also take Mastercard) to pay. If you do pay the deposit, $20 is deducted from your total. The hair washing station is really relaxing, with lie-flat chairs so your neck doesn't hurt and sparkling lights on the ceiling. I'm so happy with my cut ($80 CAD before tip) and I think I got a great value for the level of service. I highly recommend Sam and this salon, his technique was so meticulous and I love my cut.

Our appointment was for 11 am but at 1030, Amanda text us that Bella was stuck on a GO Bus and wouldn't be able to start until 1130. Normally that's not a big issue, but I was dealing with really tight timelines because of nap times and attention spans, so I couldn't just burn 30 more minutes than expected. I explained this to Amanda, and she said if I could get there soon, she would cut my daughter's hair. The salon opens at 11, but Amanda started with us at 1045. The level of customer service was unreal. Friendly, accommodating, apologetic and I got what I came there for - a sophisticated haircut for my daughter that wasn't just a "who cares you're a kid" cut. The salon is beautiful inside, the sparkling lights about the hair washing station was a nice touch. At the very end, Bella did show up and she seemed nice as well, but Amanda really came through for us. We will be back!!
