I was extremely hesitant about coming to this location, but it's literally so close to my house and it's small - which is what I wanted. Again, It's a small gym, not a lot of equipment for someone who it looking for variety in equipment and gear. I would say for someone who does not know much about gyms like me - it meets your basic needs. It's great for those who feel nervous about working out in front of others. There is an area in the back where you can workout and not worry about wandering eyes or if you're just not ready. A bunch of cardio machines that wrap around the area. I really like this gym because for someone who is starting off - it's great. Every time I go, there's barely anyone there. The staff is friendly and will assist you if needed. I see staff cleaning machines constantly and if a machine is broken, it's usually fixed the next day. Happy I started off here read more

Beware! Beware! Once they get your credit card, they will continue to charge you even if you try and cancel, and also charge you for expenses you were not told about. It is impossible to get a credit and it is impossible to cancel! It has been a very frustrating experience, I wanted to go for two months to help rehab a knee, and I've been charged even when I try to cancel. Beware! read more

Out of the 4 YouFit gyms that I've been to in my life, this location is great. The staff members are friendly and perky. The gym is pretty big in my opinion, it's big like the Hialeah location, but with higher ceiling, almost like loft style. There's equipments here that I've never seen at the other 3 locations. The machines are spaced out, unlike some locations. The ladies' restroom is nicely kept and clean. I've never been to the guys' so I can't comment haha. I had signed up for a regular membership at Crossings location, then switched to the Hialeah location, and then switched to this location. Lillie helped me do my transfer and she was very helpful. At the time, the systems were down but she said she'd definitely do the paperwork once the system is back up again. I asked Lillie for recommendations on personal trainers since I still had 4 sessions left from last year. She suggested Jackie and Jeff. I went back again and spoke to Jackie. She looked up my record and said that the sessions expired. I told her I didn't know that the sessions expire because I was never informed when I purchased the package, so she said not to worry, they'll figure something out. I went back again and found out that they were able to reinstate the sessions (30 min each). I trained with Jackie all 4 sessions and she was great. She's patient, professional, friendly, challenging, and encouraging. She also told me to eat healthy good food at least 2-3 hours beforehand. One of the workouts that we did, we tried a heavier weight but I had a tough time and I said I can't. She replied, never think you can't. Think positive and believe in yourself. That was great advice :). read more

After recently returning to the gym along with my girlfriend, I was approached by a personal trainer who proceeded to interrupt my workout and called me a fat glutton, and my girlfriend an insecure woman. We left and will not return to this location again. Extremely unprofessional and rude. Never had any issues at Youfit except this location. read more

Gym etiquette 101 Not Wiping Down Equipment After you sweat all over a piece of equipment, it's important to wipe it down before moving onto the next machine. "Nobody wants to sit in your sweat," said April Masini, an etiquette expert and fitness advocate. "So grab a towel or wipe to clean it." If you notice someone else failing to do this, there's a polite way to confront them, said Jodi R.R. Smith, president of Mannersmith Etiquette Consulting. "You can say, 'Oh excuse me, I don't think you realized it, but there are paper towels over there so you can wipe down the machine," Smith said. "Most people are well-intentioned and will do that. But don't engage further if they disagree. Just go tell some staff members." Failing To Return Weights If you use the free weights at the gym, be sure to put them away when you're finished. Leaving them on the floor is not only rude but can pose a safety hazard, as people may trip over them. "This is a kindergarten skill," Smith said. "Once you're done playing with your toys, put them away." Masini said it's important to re-rack weight plates because you don't know who will be using the equipment after you. "These big guys are working out with multiple 45-pound plates on each side of a leg press, and then someone like me has to put them back ― it's like having a workout before even getting to my workout," she said. Be mindful when you're using or returning your weights, as well. Farley noted that "dropping heavy weights rather than placing them gently" on the ground is "among the biggest etiquette lapses at the gym." Hogging Machines In the age of iPhones, people often sit on equipment texting without realizing that people are waiting to use it. Other times, they use a particular machine for a long time and prevent others from completing their workouts. Talking On The Phone Farley advised against "talking on one's cell phone while others are nearby." Smith echoed this advice, noting that it can be OK to have a chat with the person on the machine next to you, but phone calls in the gym push the boundaries of etiquette. "It is infinitely more annoying to listen to half a conversation than it is to listen to a whole conversation, so don't subject people to listening to you talk on the phone," she said. She added that you can make an exception with something quick like an appointment confirmation. Treating It Like Social Hour Although it can be OK to chat with the person exercising next to you, you should be mindful of your conversation's volume level and whether you might be distracting others. "Don't act like it's social hour," Masini said. "Sure, some gyms are more socially inclined, but others, like the one where I go, are very serious. People there don't want to be interrupted for chat time. And it's a bad habit to go up and start talking to someone when they're in the middle of a set." Staring At People Overall, gymgoers should be respectful of each others' personal space, whether that's space in the locker room, at a fitness class or on the gym floor. And it's not just physical space. "No creepy staring," said Smith. "Human beings are notoriously accurate at being able to tell when someone is staring at them, even from behind. And if somebody is more private about their body, don't stare at them as you walk by in the locker room. Give them the space they need to change P.s Staff are fine but just need to stop standing around talking. Rather, walk around to re rack weights from time to time. It is somewhat I pay for every month to have it ready for my use. Thank you. read more

It is a good gym. The only glaring annoyance is that the night crew doesn't rerack the plates. People are going to be inconsiderate but the night crew should close up with all weights returned. It's shouldn't be the solo 5am employees job to do that alone at 5am. read more

Staff is friendly and gym doesn't get more affordable than this. It doesn't have a pool or basketball court but it has the essential machines and weights needed to get back in shape. I actually prefer small gyms and I'm glad I have this location less than 5 min away from home. read more

YouFit Gyms - Trainers Near Me - Miami, Florida

Been going here for a little over a year and it's such a nice and welcoming environment. Everyone knows each other at this gym, and they're always willing to help with spotting, sharing machines, or for advice on certain workouts. The staff is also super friendly and will help with any and all fitness advice that you'd need (shout out to Shayne and his motivational screeches every time someone does a PR). There's a great variety of equipment to suit just about anyone's needs, plus a good amount of open space to work on calisthenic workouts. Would definitely recommend, especially for first-timers who want to get into physical fitness. read more

I like your fit it's pretty good gym. Everybody here is cordial. Everybody puts their stuff back is really clean actually compared to some of the other ones I've been to like number 130 over 33196. It's all run by a bunch of kids that really don't know what they're doing and they're kind of lazy too but this gym is really nice over here on 152. Yeah it's clean nothings out of place usually so it's nice here. read more

Joined this gym about 6 months ago with my now husband and it's been a great experience so far. I train with Justin one of the personal trainers. He is so patient and truly motivates me to workout when I don't want to. He is the best trainer in this gym! :) read more

Been a loyal client of youfit for over two years....honestly, there's so many other gyms that I'm canceling my memebership. There's this new towel policy that enforces people bringing their own towels which doesn't seem like a big deal. However, when I want to wipe down the machine and not use my towel I can't seem to find a paper towel dispenser because they're all empty. When I approached the branch manager he responded with a budget cut excuse and nonsense. What excuse is there to justify the paper towels being empty...aside from the messy weights being everywhere and no one racking up the weights I can deal with...but when I'm paying the same amount of money and receiving less it makes me consider how horrible the service is.. read more

I love the location and place is small yet well equipped to handle the size crowd utilizing the facility. The equipment is maintained decently. At one point, paper towels were nonexistent but that has changed. I miss the manager Sydney, he is a positive part of the organization and regularly held me accountable in a very positive manner. Felt like an old coach who wouldn't let me slack off. I've not seen him since my surgery in August but his presence is missed. The one problem I have with this location is the dirty shower walls, it can be much better kept with a janitorial staff like Westchester and Hialeah Youfit organizations. read more

I'm 47 years old. I have not been into a gym in over 18 years. This past Valentine's Day I joined Youfit. Grab the trainer by the name of Jason for 3 months and he did a great job. Helping me slim down from 240. I drop down 10 lb and lost 13 inches. Sadly Jason moved to a new location. That's when I met Justin and started training with him. This past month with Justin has been incredible. Is good to switch up trainers with new routines. I definitely see a different change. Justin is very motivational, very knowledgeable of all the supplements and weight training programs that helps you grow and Define your body. If you give it some time you are realize he's not just your trainer he's your friend! Thank you Justin for helping me get rid of this Dad bod!. read more

Clean, proper air conditioning and temp control. New equipment. Great service. Glad it's close to home.

This gym took advantage of me. I arranged a two-month vacation to travel out of the country and let the club manager know face-to-face in June to please freeze my membership as well as my recurring bi-monthly $140 ACH payments for my personal training sessions. I gave the required documentation and I was assured I would not be charged at all for the personal training sessions. After arriving in China, I found that I was not only charged once but TWICE. The first on July 23 for $140 and again on August 6 for $140. I made a very expensive phone call to Miami to speak to the manager who again reassured me that everything would be sorted out, but no refund was made for over a week. I tried calling again and was told that the manager would not be available to speak to me for another week or so. The other employees admitted to it being their mistake after looking at my account in their system but provided no resolution as they didn't know how to proceed. I called my bank to dispute the charges and had the money returned to me successfully, although I had to pay a $15 stop payment fee to avoid YouFit withdrawing money from my account again. A week later, YouFit withdrew another random amount of $50 on August 20. I have NO idea what $50 would get as that's not even the cost of a training session. My bank advised some companies will charge random amounts to get around stop payment blocks. This is an unethical business practice that required my bank to open a new account for me and a loss of $330 total. read more

I requested to cancel membership before charging the next month and they agreed to do so with no issues. Filled out the cancellation form and went about my way since I was only visiting Miami. However, some issues with the credit card transaction happened, that wasn't my fault, that resulted in my final payment never being processed, so my account was technically still open. I left Miami since I was only there for vacation, so never thought of this gym again. Instead of contacting me right away to get it settled, they waited 4 months to pass by for me to finally get notified my card never went through and charged me dues of $200 dollars for the past 4 months plus the late fees. They sent lawyers after me threatening to send me to collections when I had no idea what was going on. The typical stereotype of gyms not notifying when issues come up and then letting months go by for fees and dues to rack up, then contacting you asking for money. Even after all that, they don't accommodate afterwards when I'm caught off guard on something that wasn't my fault. Terrible management. read more

Don't let this location keep you from checking them out. I can't tell you how happy I am that I gave them a shot. The staff is super friendly- they greet you when you go in, when you leave, they help you out with the equipment and are always walking around to make sure everything is clean... speaking of- they really do a great job at that. The ladies bathroom is always clean, so are the machines - all the time. I have yet to go at a time where I can't find a machine and even though they don't have some of the classes that other Youfit's have they have personal training and circuit training. I'm currently doing the 60 day challenge and I can say that both trainers Jeffrey and Cesar are great. I am also doing personal training with Cesar and he's knowledgeable and patient. Give them a shot, they won't disappoint. Ask for Cristina to do the membership and for John for training- both are awesome! read more

First and according to my standards this gym is quite decent. It is not huge but it does have a little bit of everything to get in a good workout. The gym is clean and the weights are pretty organized. I like the fact that machines are color coded for the upper and lower body and that they have a stretching area. One of my favorites is the circuit training. 39 minutes you get a decent total body workout and the burn will really depend on your intensity. Overall a great little gym and I'm not sure people can really ask for more for $10 a month. Erick and Eli are both great so feel free to ask them for assistance. read more

I have been coming to this gym for over over a year now, I have never had a problem at this gym. The staff has always been super nice and welcoming. Until last week, the the manager Sydney told me I couldn't have a gym bag in the gym I had to put it in the locker. I have been carrying my gym bag everyday for over a year and was never told I can't have it around. Mind you every day after work I go change and have carried my gym bag and hang it on the hook of the machines, I never leave it on the floor because I know people walk back and forth with weights in heir hands, I normally use my gym bag as I'm working out as well I carry my water bottle and towels I use as I'm working out. When he told me I can't have it with me and I need to put it in a locker my response to him was I don't have a lock with me, I will just finish on this machine and I will leave. He was not satisfied with my response. He kept on harassing me about my bag, he didn't even let me finish my one set on my last machine, as I felt like I was forced to leave. The following few day I have been goin I see others at the gym with a gym bag with them and they were never told they can't have it by them. If we aren't allowed to have a gym bag with us at the gym they should have signs everywhere saying exactly that. I was really offended by the so called manager, he should have better etiquette towards people if he is going to be a manager read more

This is far the WORST and visually unappealing location! The manager is rude and unable to carry on a conversation without being condescending and sarcastic. I have multiple memberships and will be canceling them! Hopefully, he gets it right this time read more

Probably the very best gym I've ever been to! We became members shortly after they first opened. The location is always kept clean, parking is easy. The staff is very friendly, and the manager Sydney is wonderful. He's been so helpful every time we've needed any assistance with anything. I've been doing personal training with trainers there for a few years. I've always been thrilled with the trainers I've used. I'm currently working with Justin, and he is absolutely amazing! I have a lot of health issues and him and limited in a lot of what I can do. But if there something that I can't do due to pain or some other physical problems, Justin finds another way to accomplish the same thing. I participated in this year's countdown to change challenge and with Justin's help, and Jason, my trainer before him, I've lost 25 pounds! I absolutely love this location. I've been to many others and none of them compare. I highly recommend that you get this Youfit a try! Go see Sydney and tell him Suzi Beck sent you! read more

I didn't give five stars because of the Manager, Sydney Drake. I have been coming to this gym since the day it opened. Ever since my friend brings duffel bag to come from work and change at the gym. Since the lockers are not provided with a key we usually keep the bag and always keep our stuff in it. Including mine. It has never before been an issue until the day Sydney decided to be rude. We were told by him that we couldn't have a bag at the gym because it was policy. So our plan for that day was to finish the one machine we had left and leave. Meaning that the next day we understand that we couldn't have a bag so we were going to bring a lock and put it in the locker room. This man didn't let us finish the ONE machine we had left. He came again "ladies I already told you you can't have a bag". So I said that we got it. We were done after this ONE machine and we're leaving. He didn't stop talking. We had to leave and couldn't finish our work out. Mind you, the gym is constantly filled with others who have bags and it only seems to bother him because it's "policy". It's the gym, people at times bring their own things. Stop with this silly policy that's makes no sense. Anyway, your manager Sydney, not the nicest and definitely not the most friendly face either. read more

The constantly empty paper towel dispensers gross me out! If there are no paper towels... people aren't able to clean the machines after they use them!! So disgusting! The right thing to do is clean a machine after you use it, but the paper towel dispensers are so often empty that I don't even want to go anymore. Imagine all the gross germs from who knows how many people! Also... please tell your cleaning ladies to STOP dusting / wiping machines while someone is on it!! How annoying!!! Seriously can she wait till I get off! read more

Great gym. Great staff. They have all the supplements I need before and after my workout.

This gym meets my needs. It's staff is friendly and helpful. I'm limited in what I can do and they are working with me.

I'm giving this a 1 star because unfortunately I can't give 0. Youfit sucks ! This location for example, you have one of the managers, the one with the glasses, walking around the gym. Doing nothing. While there's no towels to clean the machines... nowhere around the gym... I stared working out by doing some abs by the area where I guess they trained people. And he sends someone to kick me out of the area because they were going to have one of the trainers train someone. Meanwhile there's enough space both both of us to be there. The guy that kicked me out even apologized to me and told me that he felt embarrassed to even kick me out. The machines are constantly breaking.. imagine how disgusting is to jump on a machine and not be able to clean it .. they should seriously closed all the youfits down. I rather pay 40 a month then 20 a month for a disgusting place like this one. I'm definitely going back to LA fitness .. even the water is warm in this place. read more
