I wanted to update my review to say that I came back to this gym. I'm happy to be able to change my opinion after all this time, this place has changed for the better! While I can't comment about the Kids area (my daughter is old enough and I don't need this really from any gym anymore), I've attended several of their classes and they are great. They are challenging and the gym itself has kind of a young and hip vibe (won't make me feel like I'm attending an older person's gym), the staff working here are friendly and attentive, everything is very clean. When I signed up, I went for the membership option that gives you a MyZone Belt with the membership. It's pretty cool because when you're working out, you wear this belt and it keeps track of your heart rate and how many calories you burn while doing your workout. I use this as motivation for working out. Ample parking, gym is never fully packed, etc. This place is a lot more than a fighting gym and can be used as just a normal gym. But your workouts can take an interesting twist with the MMA fighting. I've come to really like this place, I'm so happy that they have improved over time! read more

This gym has been my second home forever. The coaches and employees are awesome and have become like family BUT this gym is always dirty, AC upstairs does not work, ever. I am there 5 days a week. They have not invested in this gym. The machines are old and often broken. With all of the gyms in Miami and with AROD being linked to this one, you would think the Kendall location would be the best. Absolutely not! I'm sharing because after so many years, I will be moving on soon, to another gym that actually cares about the quality of their establishment. If a survey was distributed to existing customers, I guarantee the scores would be horrible. Sad to leave but it's pretty gross at this point! Time for all members to start escalating. read more

This gym makes cancelling hard. I paid for training sessions and wasn't able to get in contact with the manager for months and still haven't been able to resolve my issue. I am owed two training sessions that I paid for. Never fall for their trap on reeling you in and the ghosting you. I wouldn't recommend this gym for people who want to pay for services, there is no guarantee you will get it. I also wouldn't recommend if you aren't gonna live near this gym your whole life, i tried to cancel the first time due to ankle injury and they said they did over the phone but then I kept getting charged and they made me come in person to cancel. The second time I canceled is because I moved far and Miami traffic is bad. read more

This gym is convenient because it's close to my house, and that's about all I can say on the positive side. It's very dirty and the "clean-up" stations are not consistently stocked with spray bottles to wipe equipment when you're done using it. Staff do not appear to circulate the room consistently to ensure member compliance, so I've witnessed numerous members just leave machines or benches without wiping them down. I've even seen a member walking around completely barefoot, no socks, nothing! The cardio machines, most notably the Stairmasters, are filthy and caked with sweat residue. They are also in serious disrepair - I had to try three stairmasters before I found one that was working properly. The other two would not allow me to go past a level 5. The machine that did work, however, did not respond immediately when I pressed the stop button. I had to press the stop button like 6 times before it even slowed down! This is a serious safety hazard! The free weight section is well stocked, but it's fairly cramped, which is exacerbated by groups of young men who all stand around each other chatting while one of them does a set of bicep curls. Overall, I will continue to attend simply because the boutique weight-lifting gym I teach at has a limited schedule, and I am looking to supplement my workouts outside our class schedule. But I'm not pleased that I have to bring my own sanitation materials and that I can't count on the machines to function properly. read more

(1 Star) Disappointing for a UFC-branded gym--dirty, dated, and not worth the price Visit details: Dropped in recently expecting UFC-level standards. Left pretty shocked at how run down this location is. Check-in & staff: Front desk associate was polite, but couldn't help with basic issues (lockers, towels, music/volume). Friendly attitude, low capability. Cleanliness & maintenance: This is the headline problem. Locker rooms were dirty--old tissues and toilet paper on the floor, damp/wet areas that looked like they hadn't been mopped in a while, and a lingering sweat smell. The sauna was visibly grimy and didn't feel sanitary to use. Common areas looked like they needed a deep clean and a regular cleaning schedule posted/actually followed. In my opinion, it doesn't look like anyone is auditing cleanliness with any seriousness. Equipment & layout: Most machines and free weights feel past their prime--worn pads, wobbly benches, and older models you don't expect at this price point. Cardio section was serviceable but dated. If the equipment were current, I could justify 2 stars; if it were at least clean, I could also justify 2 stars. Unfortunately, it's neither. Lockers & policy (major pain point): Lockers are old and require you to bring your own lock. In 2025, most gyms either provide digital lockers or sell/loan locks at the desk. Here, there were no locks for sale or loaners offered--so you either carry your stuff around or leave it unsecured. Other gyms I've used in South Florida don't require this; at minimum, please stock basic combo locks for purchase or provide a small supply of loaners. Atmosphere & experience: Low energy overall. No music (or barely audible), and the floor didn't have that focused, high-energy training vibe you expect from a UFC facility. The mood felt flat, and staff weren't circulating or checking on equipment and cleanliness. Value for price: Membership price does not match the condition of the facility. You're paying premium branding for a substandard experience. There are several nearby gyms--UFC and non-UFC--that offer cleaner spaces, newer equipment, and better member support. What would fix it: * Immediate deep clean of locker rooms, sauna, and high-touch areas; then post and follow a visible cleaning schedule. * Replace/repair worn equipment and benches; tighten and level wobbly stations. * Modernize lockers or, at minimum, sell/loan locks at the front desk. * Turn up the energy--audible music, floor checks by staff, and quicker responses to member issues. Bottom line: I'm giving this location 1 star because the equipment is out-of-date and the facility is dirty. If the equipment were current, I'd give 2 stars even with the cleanliness issues; if it were at least clean, I'd give 2 stars despite the old equipment. They used to be a 24 hour gym, which is one of the reasons why I signed, but that all ended during Covid. The pandemic is long over, but the new hours continue. They also raised my membership fees by $10 a month without my knowledge or consent. This coupled with the fact that they charge a ridiculous annual cleaning fee. in all honesty, avoid this gym at all costs. prices are always fluctuating, so loyal members are somehow the ones getting the short end of the stick. broken machines getting "band-aid" repairs instead of complete ones. broken machines take forever to get acknowledged by staff. second floor AC was broken for months and now finally all ACs in the building are broken. locker rooms seriously don't get enough attention-- always some type of mess, which is ridiculous. front staff is usually kind, but they lack most information. a day pass is over $20, which is embarrassing to mention to any friend. overall, i would point the finger at management. this place consistently feels abandoned and lacking resources. read more

I used to come here back in 2015-2018 and the whole vibe of the gym felt like a UFC gym. Now if you walk in 9/10 times they're playing Spanish club music talking about drinking and sex or middle school club remixes to mainstream songs . They used to play rock , hip hop, etc but now it's just the same mix on repeat. Seems very low effort and whoever is in charge of this should not be. Feels like I'm working out at a Esporta instead of a UFC gym Also takes them months to fix a machine or add a strap to a cardio bike when memberships are $80+ vs when I used to workout at Crunch for $10 a month and they would have things fixed within the week or the next day. The sauna is almost always off and you have to tell someone at the front to turn it back on, which a simple solution is just to have a set timer on someone's phone or desk to know when to reset it but I guess that's too hard to do for some reason. Seems like the direction/ managing of this gym is not in good hands compared to how it used to be , especially with gyms like EoS opening up they really need to step it up and go back to their roots and identity of UFC. read more

I have been going to this gym since the day they opened. Not many gyms are open 24/7. They have great classes and a friendly staff. The machines are new since this is a fairly new gym that replaced another gym that was there, Bally's. The equipment are cleaned every morning. I know because I hit the gym at 4am almost everyday of the week. In addition to benefiting the gym, they have a point system that allows you to redeem for good items like shakes. Yes, they can make you shakes there. I suggest to go early to the gym because it does get pretty packed after 6pm. read more

Come to find out while they honored the price they decided they weren't going to honor the guest pass and stated they no longer offer members to bring a guest. UFC GYM Kendall is my go to gym now days. It's efficient in helping me succeed in getting my workouts done and more so maintaining that intensity level of discomfort one gets when they don't stick to a workout routine. What I mean by this is that with the variety of classes offered at the gym, there is no time for your body to adapt to the stress it's under as each class is different in itself regardless if it shares the same title. You truly will burn calories like crazy especially if you sign up for their boot camp D.U.T. Class. (I highly recommend!) Starting with the first floor, there is an arm bar in which one can purchase some delicious protein smoothies to supplement your workout. My favorite smoothies has to be the Muay Thai Punch in that it is not only refreshing but has a surprisingly low caloric count between 205 - 265 depending on the portion size. Special thanks to Andrea & Ryan for introducing me to such an amazing delight, as I am now hooked! Next to the arm bar is the greeter counter where one scans in to gain access to the facility and further down are the men and women locker rooms that include lockers, stalls, showers, and even a sauna. Walking up the stairs (because if you are using the elevator then what was the point of going to the gym), the second floor is massive with the first thing you see is a sea of cardio machines. With 4 - 6 Stair Masters, row machines, ellipticals, bikes, treadmills, etc. one can't possibly leave this floor without breaking a sweat. As you walk past this sweat zone, you will catch a glimpse of the recreational hard wood room where zuma, cycling, etc classes take place. once you are past that you hit the weights zone, from machines to your left and all the free weights you've ever dreamt of to the right you just can't go home without trying each one. Lastly, The gym comes with different recreational areas which one can use to practice Muay Thai, Boxing, Wrestling, Judo, mix martial arts, etc. free of charge as its included in your membership. All in all the gym is great but there are a few things to consider prior to signing up. The first are the hours, it's open 24 hours but if you wanna take advantage of the classes I'd recommend you going in the morning as there is more of a variety offered. Moreover, if you are heading there after work make sure to get your usual from the arm bar prior to working out for they now close at 10 pm instead of 11 pm, which is a bummer. Overall, it's a decent gym, just have a flexible schedule to avoid peak times to really make use of all their equipment and more importantly get a good workout in. read more

Love the gym, absolutely hate their sales force. I've been coming as a guest for about a month or so and loved the facility and wide range of equipment. It's everything an athlete looks for in a gym to get a full range of options. However, when it came time to investigating pricing, this was where my experience took a nose dive. I spoke with only one person, and I would drop his name if I was as passive aggressive as he was when I just got off the phone with him. But, as a decent human being, I know better and truly wish he improves off this review. We've all been trying to make frugal decisions lately because of the impact covid has had on us financially and after speaking to this kid, realized that even their base membership wouldn't be a sound decision financially for me at this moment. But who knows, I could easily find myself in a better position to join. So I explained to him after he imposed and asked who I decided to join with, that I have already joined planet fitness because it fit my budget and that I didn't want to waste his time because I knew he probably had other better sales opportunities at the moment. This is where it got really distasteful, was in his closing statement of the call. It was practically verbatim as he said, "well I understand your decision to go with planet fitness and that it fits your budget, but please let me know when you decide to join a 'REAL' gym... As if my decisions for fitness and wellness are not 'REAL' because of my current financial situation. By far this is THE MOST disrespectful sales experience I've EVER HAD. This gym is perfect for everyone!! You'll have loads of equipment and will always be able to switch up your workouts. I love how the music is always blaring, it gets me pumped. Even when I forget my headphones. They have a space downstairs where they take care of your babies and a juice bar which is amazing! The coaches are all so helpful and you can call on any of them if you ever have a question or concern. They've helped me reach many, many goals - I'm truly so thankful for them. (Carlos, Wes, Andres, Ken, Mark, Brian, Silvy, Diana, I could go on!) The classes are AMAZING and I love how they're included in your membership. DUT, spinning, yoga, boxing, mma, Muay Thai, bjj, trx, etc. It gets very packed sometimes, but that's like any other gym. I've been coming to this gym for a year now and I have to say that it has it all. The parking lot is pretty big with handicapped parking. Of course it gets packed during those peak hours, for example 6-8pm, so you may have to park a little further versus coming at 5am where you'll always find parking in the front. They're open 24/7. They have an app or a separate chip for your keychain that you can use to check yourself in. Every time you check in, you get points, these points add up and can eventually be used to buy food, merchandise, etc. On the 1st floor you'll find: someone to check you in at the front desk, a food bar where they make smoothies, a select option of food (Rx. Avocado toast), and also sell pre-packaged food. There's clothing merchandise throughout to shop, a kids area where you can drop off your little ones to be watched by staff while you workout, and the locker rooms. The locker rooms are separated by men and women and have around 6 showers, sauna, lockers, and bathroom access. There's also elevator access to the second floor. On the 2nd floor is where you'll find more of the gym action. They have plenty of cardio machines, cable machines, around 4-5 platforms, weights, etc. They also have a separate room for additional uses such as classes, spinning, and other workout needs. They offer a variety of classes ranging from yoga, spinning, DUT (boot camp style), Muay Thai, kickboxing, Brazilian jui jitsu, and more. The staff and coaches are also really nice. However, like all gyms, some members don't re-rack their weights or put things where they belong after using them and this can be so extremely annoying. I joined this gym when they first opened a few years back. It was a great gym and I was really happy with the fact that they had platforms which supported Olympic Lifts and it didn't seem too crowded at the time. For the time that I trained I was very happy with the Amenities and for the most part I could get some decent training in. If it were just for this I would rate them at 4 stars. What down ranked my review came recently. Due to my current schedule, I could not support attendance at the gym. I was unable to attend for more than 3 months before I came to the decision to cancel my membership. I discussed this with the staff and manager two weeks ago and they seem to be understanding of the situation. Was recently charged for another month. I cannot recommend any service that doesn't follow through on a cancellation properly. read more

Coach Mali...Kickboxing Conditioning Champ! Her classes focus on technique and conditioning. She switches up the workouts every week, to make them challenging and fun. Positive energy always...Mali is a force! You don't want to fight her but you want to learn how to fight like her! Coach Andrews...professional fighter? YES...his classes are for real. Teaching advanced techniques and combos mixed with heart pounding cardio. Andrews is so humble and approachable. Always encouraging and giving feedback, he's really a cool mf. This is my favorite gym!! I drive an hour from Brickell just to go here. It's conveniently open 24 hours, they offer fun interactive group glasses, and the people who work at this particular gym are always positive and smiling. They also have a sauna - my favorite part!! Jason is the best!!! He's an exemplary representation of what a gym sales person should be. Any and every question you have he's the man to go to. I recommend anyone who feels uncomfortable with the gym to sign up and request Jason. He'll make everything easy for you. 5/5 read more

I originally signed my nine-year-old son up for boxing to help give him confidence because he was getting bullied in school. To my surprise the trainer Richie Ramirez was patient, kind and very knowledgeable and told him right off the bat whatever I teach you you don't use unless you really have to. Now let me tell you I was married to a body builder for 13 years. After our divorce I vowed never to work out again. But this gentlemen not only gave me the The courage to get back in the fitness game but he made me feel comfortable and he safed my life because in 2012 I was diagnosed with type two diabetes. And the fact that he gave me the courage to get back in the gym was life-changing for me I go 3 to 4 times a week and I train with him for an hour boxing is not what I thought it was a lot harder than what you think. I've got this overwhelming feeling of accomplishment. I've got this ENERGY running through my body like STATIC. It's truly an indescribable feeling- but not impossible. You see, this is my new reality. But I didn't do this alone. Nor do you have to. There's a community with passionate, knowledgeable people ready to help you. Like everyone, I've had my ups and downs. I've neglected my health, adopted habits that were not aligned with my goals and when I reached my lowest point I decided to join the gym. I tried to do it alone for a year, taking some classes, buying some supplements...you know just doing the basic. In that year I went to the gym a total of 37 times. I had no commitment with myself. I was in a "get fit limbo" I had all the information in the palm of my hands but no idea how to get started in my lifestyle changing journey. When I felt I had exhausted all my resources, I logged into the UFC app to check on the class schedule and saw.."Wednesday 8:00pm DUT Coach Q"? Mhm this is new? Never seen that coach before. I went to class before I noticed it was cool down time. Time was up! It was 9:00pm class is over. There was sweat everywhere, my face pulsing to the rhythm of my heartbeat- I was in shock my body did not give up on me. I felt strong again- even if I was the weakest person in class. I felt strong again. But at times we overlook the obvious- the truth is I gave the same effort and energy as any other day, nothing from my routine change. So how can I repeat this feeling again? At the end of class Coach Q mentions he will no longer be teaching Wednesday 8:00pm DUT, but he still has Monday 6:00am DUT. With no hesitation, with no time to think for an excuse I logged back into the app and added Monday 6:00am DUT to my schedule. But that's not when my story begins... July 31st- when Coach Q spend 3 hours helping me identify my "whys" the real subconscious reasons why I need to be the best version of myself. The core reasons- the most vulnerable part of my motivation. Later we worked on measurements, body fat, scheduling, and lifestyle routine. When I said I was at my lowest point, I felt so disappointed- But Coach Q guided me through a new thought process. I did not feel ashamed to get on that weight scale, I didn't not feel uncomfortable while he's pinching my love handles. I felt confident, I felt support, I felt love. I felt in my element. Most of the staff consist of passive aggressive douche bags. Was stretching by the mats near the octagon and in the middle of the movement this "coach" walks over with a client and starts slamming the medicine ball a foot away from my fucking face. I guess she was trying to get me to move? She proceeds to squat down to meet my at my face level and say that I was "smack dab in the middle of everything". Complete bull shit but I figured fuck it, I'm going to go train in a minute anyway. I say sure and start to get up before she starts grabbing my bag to toss, that's when she takes it too far. I snatch it back and tell her I'll move but don't touch my shit. Later in the squat rack I see her come over and slam the Olympic bar in its holder and glare at me. I started working out at UFC around September this year. Originally I started by trying the TRX class coached by coach Melvin, and later noticed he also coached a training camp class Which I decided to join as well. Although it has not been 40 days since I began attending these two classes, I must admit this was the best fitness decision I have made in years. I have been in many different types or gyms offering many different types of workouts, where after dedicating time and effort I would always make small improvements accompanied by injury. This is of course very demotivating, and would slowly result in me looking for other options. However, after joining coach Melvin's TRX and training camp, I have already lost 10 pounds. AMAZING! I am 48 years old now and have been fighting the scale for couple years, and to lose 10 pounds in 40 days was a huge accomplishment! Currently my goal is to lose 20 pounds while continuing to get stronger. It's just so good to feel that I am finally heading in the right direction. I can finally fit in my old jeans again. I feel stronger and can now do things that before would be so challenging for me. AND, most importantly I am injury and pain free! Thanks to coach Melvin's training and nutrition guidance, I have been able to continually improve in my physique as I never have before. This review is about the UFC, the second part is about the two managers and my coach at UFC Gym Kendall. TL;DR: Screw the UFC, they just want your money, Amanda Wheeler and Emily Mendheim are good managers, ask for them if you are thinking about joining. They seem willing to work with customers, they worked with me and helped me with my issues. Look for Coach Manny Molina, he cares about you and your goals, and you mean something to him. About corporate UFC: Save your money, and go to a local Muay Thai, BJJ, Krav maga gym and help someone feed their family. If you go to UFC, sure you will be providing some wages to the good people at UFC, but you will be paying corporate, who fired their workers during the pandemic, and made millions in profits due to Fight Island and cable televised fights. While the UFC was making money, their workers were out of luck. Oh, they also charged their members during the pandemic. UFC is a company, a brand. They see their patrons as money bags, their employees as work animals and instill a dog-eat-dog atmosphere to push profits and break their employees for new fresh meat. They only care about their quarterly reports and efficiency metrics. This is ok, just remember, once you sign the contract, your bank account/credit card account is their plaything. This is why I left the UFC once the pandemic started, they wanted more and more money from me. Luckily, I met Emily and Amanda. Emily Mendheim and Amanda Wheeler are the two managers that currently work UFC Gym Kendall. They were kind, courteous and laughed at my dumb jokes. The topic of conversation was very serious, however. UFC wanted more money from me. I was angry about this because I thought I was done paying the UFC before, during and after the pandemic. But the UFC just wanted more money. And I have been paying them over 2 years before the pandemic hit. I was a loyal customer. Ms. Mendheim and Ms. Wheeler communicated the basic policies to me, and we came to a mutual understanding about how much I owe the UFC. They listened to me. In turn, this made me listen to them. It is their understanding and their willingness to meet me halfway, that made me want to write this review about them. They didn't try skinning me for every dollar they could. They took their time to listen to my grievances and met me on my level. Through all of this, another person who was suffering was my coach of 4 years: Coach Manny Molina. He sets the standard at UFC Gym Kendall. He cares about your feedback, tries to limit how many "weekend sales" they make you buy, expects you to put in the work and show up to training ON TIME. He was the only reason I stayed at UFC Gym Kendall for as long as I did. I could not and would not let him down, his guidance means a whole lot to me. This is the only reason why I am even thinking of going back, once it is safer in my area. As long as people like Ms. Mendheim, Ms. Wheeler and Coach Molina are there, at least someone has your back against corporate UFC. So, to the corporate manager reading this: give Ms. Mendheim, Ms. Wheeler and Coach Manny better funding, a raise, and a few PAID days off. While you sat back and enjoyed your dividends, they languished. And they still worked with a patron they want to see come back. They worked for you, now do something and work for them. read more
