My first meeting with GLO was through a phone conversation. It was like talking to Google about all things med spa. I was speaking with the person who would be responsible for helping me get my face and confidence back to 110%. I went into my consultation thinking it would be poke, poke, poke, wave a magic wand, and I would look in the mirror like, "Whoa!" Reality set in when GLO explained facial structure and how a foundation must be built to maintain a realistic outcome. Once we agreed on a personal plan for me, I scheduled my procedure day and received detailed aftercare instructions. Procedure day was emotional. GLO and her staff prayed with me, leaving me incredibly relaxed. Throughout the procedures, I heard prayers, encouraging words and affirmations, along with gentle taps on my shoulder reminding me they were right there with me. Their bedside manner was incredible. When it was time to look in the mirror, I was swollen and wasn't prepared to see myself that way. I almost questioned what I had done, but I remembered the words spoken over me throughout the day: "Embrace the process. The journey is yours. You are beautiful. God is in control." Aftercare became a major part of my journey--follow-ups, lymphatic drainage massages with their in-house esthetician Olga, tape, chin straps, silicone patches and arnica cream. I learned quickly that aftercare is just as important as the procedure itself. At six months, my journey continues. GLO and her team continue helping me understand whether my healing is progressing normally, what may be causing certain symptoms, and what treatment options are available. You Glo Med Spa has so much to offer, and the knowledge alone is worth the cost. Six months later, I feel like I've gained family. To be completely honest, I was scared at first because it was my first time getting anything done. I got my cheeks, chin and lips done all at once. Since I got there the atmosphere was very welcoming felt very welcomed and taken care of. She started off doing my cheeks and chin pain was 5/10 didn't really feel anything.
