If I could give this moving services 0 stars I would!! The owner says he takes pride in his…read morecustomer service? What is even customer service when they ghost you and don't even follow-up?! Absolutely pathetic and I hope they are held accountable as I have reported Bell Labor and Moving Services in our U-Haul Claims, and also with the Better Business Bureau and Chicago Consumer Bureau. I would strongly caution anyone considering booking with Bell Moving and Labor Services. Our experience was extremely disappointing and added unnecessary stress to an already stressful moving day. We scheduled two movers for 2/21 at 10:00 AM to help load our belongings into a 26-foot U-Haul truck for two hours. We booked the service through U-Haul, expecting professionalism and reliability. Unfortunately, the movers never showed up. The manager I spoke with, Devonte is the name he mentioned, told me both over the phone and via text that the two movers were on their way. However, he never provided a confirmed ETA and repeatedly pushed back their arrival time. We waited with no clear communication and ultimately no service. No follow-up, no accountability -- just empty assurances while our moving timeline was completely disrupted. In my opinion, this experience felt deceptive and completely unprofessional. Moving is already overwhelming, and this company provided zero support or reliability when we needed it most. We have reported this business to the Better Business Bureau so that others are aware of our experience. I also believe companies that promote third-party services, like U-Haul, should take greater responsibility in vetting the businesses they recommend. Customers trust these referrals. Please think carefully before booking with this company. Based on our experience, we would never use them again and cannot recommend their services to anyone.

They responded swiftly with a fair price, time, and clarification for the project. Bell Moving provided a flat rate for 2 hours with 2 movers and a box truck that. The owner introduced himself by name at the start of communication. Was always cordial and responsive. Please note that this was a service requested the same week. The night before there was confirmation of the moving arrangements. The day of, I received a call to keep me posted of expected time of arrival and point of arrival. The young men, Diquan (owner) and Donavan, were very pleasant with in-person introductions and hand shakes. They were in their company labeled pull-overs with gloves at the ready. They got right to work. They were careful and quick. They were not put off by suggestions for navigation of the move at the pick-up site. They packed the items in the truck with awareness of spacing and care of the items (which included a mirror). I received a follow-up call when they reached the delivery address. They asked where each item should be placed. They were aware of difficult room entries and made adjustments without damaging the property. They let me know when the last item was off the truck and being placed in the appropriate room. There were various ways to pay, which was discussed prior to the day of the job. I rendered payment at the end. They thanked me. I thanked them and asked for business cards to share. I will be recommending them and using them again. Thank you guys! They were prompt and professional in those dealings. The unfortunate part of this transaction is that the movers chipped our concrete stairs on the way down, one 4 x 2 inch section and the next step just a nick. They were aware of it as they removed the piece from the porch. When the business owner got in touch with my husband and asked him to leave them a good review, my husband mentioned this chip. No response. I reached out through their business website to also tell them, and crickets. This disappointed me and was not very professional.

Walked thru instructions on how to get to loading dock of highrise and check in. Guy says great, you are set. All good so far. Early morning Tuesday they call when I'm in shower and leave message saying will be there in 90 minutes (which would be 30 minutes after the scheduled appointment time). Also said unless I call back, they aren't coming at all. So I call back. Guy starts off by yelling. Says he called me but I didn't answer. I remind him appt was already set and confirmed. Then he goes off and says how does he know if I'll really be there and that now he will start sending guys to come in about 90 minutes. I say I'd like you to please honor the appointment time. He says ok will send guys. He then says will call me from outside. I remind him we had already walked through need to check in at dock. He then blows up more and says I don't need this, go hire someone else and hangs up. Wow, what great service. Do yourself a favor and avoid losing 24 hours thinking they will honor a confirmed appointment. Just start off by going with someone else.
