WOW!! I had an amazing first experience at Yottaquest. I came in looking for some card packs and was helped in such a friendly, positive way by one of the employees. They offered to give me a tour of the store and led me to what I was looking for and explained their selection. Everything was sold at a fair price and I was able to get exactly what I was looking for. We were also invited to their game nights at a local brewery. If you're looking for a store with happy people and a huge selection of awesome items, this is your place. I will definitely be back and recommend this store to all! read more

The workers knew how and where to find everything with such an insanely large selection! Average prices.

We heard this was a good place to check out Pokémon cards, and it did not disappoint. Our Pokémon fans were delighted to peruse all of the options. Additionally, there are other card games, a selection of board games, comic books and graphic novels, crafty options like some neat flower kits, models, and more. To one side of the store is a really neat dragon display with a huge silver dragon. The staff were all very friendly and kind. There is a parking lot available out front. read more

This place is magical. If you're looking for gaming stuff, model making supplies, Manga, etc, this is it. The owner and the staff are VERY knowledgeable and super friendly. It's a candy store for gamers. Exceptionally clean and well organized shop. Would definitely recommend shopping here over anywhere else, including online. read more

I love this place!! I recently got back into magic (after a decade) with my girlfriend, who is a new player. We just wanted to check this place out, and maybe add to our small card collection. They were so sweet and helpful! Answering all our questions about how the game has changed in the last 10 years, talking about the vibes of the different releases, letting us look at and feel all the dice. We browsed tabletop and board games as well, I love that they have a small indie section. The pricing is... about what it is, y'know? Some prices were even a little less than what I've seen online! And it's a family owned business, started by the dad and currently run by the three siblings (and the third generation was being held by her dad as he cashed me out, so cute!). I love to support businesses like that, we will definitely be back! read more

They have an excellent selection of games and collectible gaming as well, but their prices are absolutely outrageous. Go to any other game store in the city and save at least 20%. Magic the gathering packs are double the prices at Target and other local game stores. Absolute price gouging at its worst. read more

This place is great! so much selection on everything. I was looking for DnD minis and had a hard time choosing with so many options. Tons of dice and board games to choose from as well. Employees were super helpful with getting me the paint color I wanted. This place is a bit far from my house but it's worth the drive for the selection, customer service and prices. read more

Amazing staff, great selection. Had someone spend 15mins with us finding the right game for our needs. Love coming here!

Very knowledgeable and friendly! Was a great stop on our way through town! Would love to visit again

Super cute store with really friendly staff! It was also really clean and well organized. They had a huge selection of all kinds of nerdy things. I will definitely be back! read more

My fiance and I shop at this game shop. Josh is usually the one that helps us. He supper helpful and answers my questions with enthusiasm. I have had issues with other stores treating me like an idiot because I'm female. This is a very inclusive store and they encourage anyone that has an interest in gaming of any kind. read more

Great shop with an awesome selection to choose from. The Staff was very friendly and helpful with looking up and ordering games off the beaten path. I will suggest this shop to anyone who will listen. Thx read more

We were looking for gifts for our son who loves games. They were super helpful. We didn't know if there was a specific product that fit what he asked for, but they had the perfect thing. And it was affordable. We also loved the huge game and dice selection. I would honestly love even more dice selections. The store is also clean and everything is well organized and easy to see. They told us about a family night they do with a local brewery once a month, so we're looking forward to taking our kids to that too. read more

Alright these guys have a good selection of Magic and Pokémon. I inquired about several booster boxes with the standard price being $180 here (Dominaria remastered $300). Ended up calling around and literally every place I called in the area was no more than $120 for a standard booster box, Dominaria remastered $190. This is way past price gouging and absolutely ridiculous. The only reason I didn't leave a 1star review was for their selection. read more

I like to visit game stores whenever I travel and this one is the best shop I have visited in year. Love the fact they have a huge selection of RPGs that are not D&D or Pathfinder, that's always a plus in my book. One more thing, the service was spectacular and the employees know their stuff. read more

The service was excellent. My son is just starting into D&D with friends and needed a few things. Ian was very friendly and helpful. Excellent selection of games and accessories. read more

Employees are very friendly and enthusiastic; this isn't just a job for them, you can tell that it is also their hobby. They have items in stock that we had been looking for at several stores but hadn't had much luck finding anywhere else (specifically Star Wars FFG and minis). We live 4 hours away, but we will be stopping here again anytime we're in the area. read more

Hubby wanted Magic cards, I needed to stretch my legs. Now I'm not usually the type to want help with my shopping, but the employees here were super friendly knowing that I knew nothing about games. I think I'm going to have to start looking into some of these games now though! read more

One of the best game stores ever. Knowledgeable staff, huge selection of board games, miniatures, and Magic cards. Highly recommend them. They are keeping your health in mind with masks as welll will go back when I am in town. read more

Nailed it! Neat little comic and game mom and pop in the heart of downtown Mt. Healthy. I was looking for an older version of Clue (the newer version is dumbed down). I walked in the front door and as I was giving the clerk the ole, "just looking" line and saw it on my right as I walked in the door. It literally took me two minutes to get what I needed. The clerk was nice enough, asked a few marketing questions and I was on my way. Before I took off with my prize, I did notice that the Nerd Olympics were being held in a well lit back room. read more

They were able to put in a special order of a game that's been out of print. Sure enough once it was back in stock they gave me a call. Support your local game store! read more

Great store great staff - the retail gaming and miniatures selection is unbeatable in the area. Unfortunately, there is no in-store gaming but they sponsor a weekly session at the Mad Tree Brewing in Oakley. read more

For myself this store is a 47 minute drive just to get there, and it's been worth the drive every time. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, the store itself having a large variety of gaming options from card games to table top gaming and the like. Couldn't find what you're looking for? I've had them offer to order items online and call me once they have it in! I'll gladly be making my 47 minute drive there sometime soon again. read more

During a frantic quest for a few sets of dice after a few friends and I decided, due to reasons unbeknownst to us, to get a game of D&D going, we ended up at Yottaquest. Although it wasn't actually our first choice, due to the fact there were a few places closer we checked first, it became apparent after arriving that it should have been. If you are a fan of any type of table top based RPG gaming, board games, or card games, Yottaquest is for you. This place is a Cincinnati mecca of gaming and has no problem with that. Not only do they have an excellent selection of the aforementioned items, they also had tables set up for people to come in and meet and play games with each other, giving the place a nice sense of nerd community. What really sold me on Yottaquest however, was their selection of used D&D books from the 3.0 and 3.5 series. Considering this is what my friends and I all played back in the day, it was refreshing to see we could just jump back into and not have to learn all the changes that were made to 4.0. On top of this, they were pretty cheap as well, averaging about $10 a piece, for books that originally would have cost $30. This, coupled with the fact you could buy a set of dice for about $5, made this a much cheaper venture than we thought it would be. If you are into gaming and in Cincinnati, Yottaquest is hands down my recommendation for you. I think it will be extremely challenging finding anywhere much better than this. read more

Excellent variety & selection of board games, miniatures, RPGs ,etc. Staff is super helpful and friendly!

I had first heard about Yottaquest from their booth at the Cincy Comics Expo last September, and as a huge fan of tabletop gaming, I had been meaning to go ever since then, but hadn't quite gotten around to it. Oh, silly me! Along came Free Comic Book Day (first Saturday in May!), and I discovered that they were one of the few local shops that opens before noon (or 11) on my favorite nerd holiday, so I stopped in. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and didn't make me feel insecure about being a woman walking into a comics/gaming shop. Nothing turns a girl off from a speciality shop like this quicker than being ignored or condescended to, and this was thankfully not my experience at Yottaquest. I scored my free Serenity comic, grabbed a game I'd had my eye on since Dragon*con, and a couple of quick-play games that sounded fun, just to test them out. I am likely to head back soon for one of their gaming nights, and I hope to report back that it was as much fun as the staff makes it sound. Their games selection is fantastic, with tons of starters and expansions for some of my favorites, like Killer Bunnies and Munchkin, as well as games I've not yet explored, like Settlers of Catan, along with a huge list of titles I've never even heard of before. read more

Looking for a D20? How about a Meeple? Killer Bunny more your style? Regardless of your personal gaming style, you'll be able to find all your gaming accoutrement at Yottaquest. The employees are friendly, the store is very well stocked, and there are even tables set up to play. read more

First off, this is a table top game store, with a small comics section, not the other way around. Just to be clear. That being said, there was a huge selection of games and accessories that I'm sure I'll be back to peruse more fully. Almost any game you'd be looking for was here. But unfortunately, I was on a trip looking for comic titles and I was mostly disappointed. They have a small selection of trades and collections, and there are almost zero single issues. There was one staff member who immediately asked if I needed any help, but was quick to look back the other way when I said I was new to the shop and wanted to look around. We'll see how it goes when I go back specifically for games. read more

A solid staple of Mt. Healthy. Very good for the community. Highly recommended for seasoned gamers or 1st-timers. Very ecclectic body of card, board, and RP games. Reasonable prices and well networked, too (see Facebook, etc.). Very prompt, professional staff. Overall, a model business in an otherwise difficult field, retail notwithstanding. read more

Yottaquest is quite simply a gamers paradise. If you're looking for any kind of book-based RPG such as D&D, any card based CCG like Magic: The Gathering, any kind of miniature based game like Warhammer, any kind of board game ranging from Scrabble to Settlers of Catan, you'll find it here. Discovered this place a few years ago when a friend and I decided to give M:TG another try. On top of being one of the best places to pick up any number of games, Yottaquest regularly has sessions where people can play, including regular league play for some of the games and tournaments. They also run the occasional workshop to introduce new games to people that might be interested. Sometimes the shop can get a little cramped, especially during tournaments, but they manage to save room for those there to shop. Yottaquest also carries comic books - you can set up a buy list with them, but they don't have the greatest selection compared to a number of other shops in town. They also have a decent back collection as well, though again, not as much as some other shops that specialize in comic books. Definitely check out their website and sign up for their emailer - it gives a regular schedule of events and the occasional $5 coupon for anything in the store. Parking used to be a bit more difficult, but Mt. Healthy opened up a larger public parking lot in the back, and they offer better hours then most game and comic book shops in town. The staff is friendly and very willing to help you out in finding anything you need. It's definitely worth the visit if you're a gamer. read more

The single best game shop that exists in the Midwest.

Yottaquest has a well chosen selection of tabletop and roleplaying games, you can tell the owners are lifelong gamers. The store is neat and easy to browse and the staff are helpful and approachable. read more

Years later and I'm still just as pleased, if not more. This place was one of a few staples of the community. I grew up with their first iteration, and so its wonderful to see they've grown so much with the times. They've got whatever you need, and so much more to complete your collections. The guys that work their are very personable and seem to really love the scene as well, and that always helps with the immersion. I'd give 10 stars, definitely stop by and nerd out for a bit. read more

Great place for card gaming and role playing, but as far as comic books go this is a hit-or-miss stop. I know they have recently announced that, as of April 2013, they are beginning to phase out their back issues and new issues as well,so if you want to go there for books go now! I found a few gems that I had not expected to find, but in general there wasn't much of a stock to pick from. Comics aside, fun atmosphere and great place for local meet-and-greets and TCG gaming. read more

This is now my GO TO store for all things card and board games. If you need a store for board games, RPG, Magic, D&D, etc., come here. Every time I come here, their selection is great, and the staff is very helpful. I am now making this a once-a-month (or more) destination. They have gaming events in their community room, but I haven't tried one yet. There's parking on Hamilton Ave and Compton, but there's also a lot behind the building. read more

I stopped by Yottaquest last December with a board game enthusiast friend. While he was marveling over their amazing selection, I was there to look for board games for a child on an angel tree. I was lucky enough to meet the owner of the store and I explained to him that the child was five years old and had eight siblings, so it was important to me to find a game that could be played by a wide age range and that could handle losing a few pieces and still be functional. The owner was incredibly friendly and knowledgable, taking his time to direct me to a number of games that he personally endorsed and that fit my very narrow criteria. It was a great experience, and I hope I have the chance to go back again soon. read more

Great selection of games ranging from light play to heavy strategy and even war type games. Really friendly staff and open bright and very good vibes inside. Able to pursue at your own pace which is nice. Found a game that I played at a game convention a few months ago that I had forgotten about so that was a bonus. Would recommend as a stop for any board gamer in the area- I was just visiting bit if I lived in the area I would be back more often! read more
