They also brought chicken fried rice for their children and of course they loved it. The kids also had tempura shrimp rolls and they ate every bit. We had Kano su as well, and even though it was takeout, it was just as good as it would've been if we had sat in the restaurant. I will talk about my past experiences there. So dining in the restaurant it's very quaint and quiet even when it's crowded they do have a bar area for those who like to go and watch sports on TV, but that does not interfere with the dining room because you can't really hear the noise from the televisions in there. The service is on point every time that I've ever been there the servers are friendly very accommodating. Sometimes when I go there, I get t yum Goon and a flavor it just the spice level that I like. I arrived at my expected pick up time, gave my name, and was asked to wait a little bit longer for my order. Reasonable enough on a Friday night. All good. Twenty minutes passed. I asked for an update: "how much longer is it going to be?" I was told it's going to be another 30 minutes. They apologized, offered me a beverage, which I appreciated. That's the only reason I'm giving an additional star. Bottom-line: I waited 1 hour after my promised pick up time for my order. That's simply unacceptable. To make matters worse, when I opened my order at home, the sashimi portions were noticeably meager. Well below the standard I've come to expect for their Sashimi Mori. Maybe this is an outlier? Maybe this was the busiest night of the year? Of the past five years? Regardless, it's hard to ignore. I used to come here during my lunch break years ago back when lunch was less than $10. The selection was ample and the food were good. As it is locted in a shopping center, there are plenty of parking. More so now since most of the businesses are closed. RESTAURANT: They did an excellent job with the renovation. I did not get to see the restrooms but since it was slow that night, my son said it was clean. SERVICE: The ladies were nice and attentive. They came around to clear the table and asked if we are ok (a little too often). They spoke Spanish and English. The owner told the kids to sit anywhere they want and these kids were so excited to oblige. FOOD: The food are very typical of any Chinese buffet fares. This evening was supposed to be "seafood" night so they had come fried crabs, lots of variations of shrimp and some steamed crab legs. The fried chicken wings were good. But that was about it for me. The fried rice looked untouched. I tried it and the grains were a bit hard perhaps from sitting on the heat too long and honestly, quite tasteless. It looked like fried rice but it was not fragrant nor good at all. Overall this visit was not as good as we expected. The staff were nice. Our cups were alway full, and our table was cleared every five minutes. As for the price point of over $21 for minimal seafood, and taste wise, it was not worth it for my family. We are very well versed when it comes to food, Asian cuisine but especially with Chinese buffets so I guess it's best for you to come and try for yourself. Come with no expectations and hopefully your mind will be blown away. For the locaiton, convenience and selections this is a great option.
