First time here and it was REALLY GOOD! Nice small intimate location. We went to celebrate a birthday and truly enjoyed it. The food looked so good I forgot to take pictures lol ( everything is as pictured ) we ordered some of EVERYTHING. I had a terrible experience at Sushi Sake in Homestead, and I will not be returning. From the moment I placed my order over the phone, Elana (or Eliena) had an attitude and made the entire process unpleasant. I spent over $100 on my order, and I would have expected far better customer service than what I received. When I arrived to pick up my food, I noticed the portion sizes were much smaller than expected, so l asked about it. Elana told me she could ask the chef to add a little more, but then rudely said that next time I shouldn't expect the same thing. On top of that, I was kicked out and told to wait outside for the rest of my order because apparently, customers picking up food aren't allowed to wait inside. I've never heard of such a policy before, and it felt completely unnecessary. To make matters worse, all meals come with a soup or salad, but I didn't receive mine. When I asked about it, Elana dismissively said that because I didn't mention it, I wouldn't be getting it. That makes no sense-if it comes with the meal, why would I have to ask for it separately? They also only gave one tiny sauce for the entire meal, which was nowhere near enough. Overall, the food itself wasn't enough to make up for the terrible customer service. l've been to plenty of Sushi Sake locations, and I've never had an experience this bad. If you're going to spend good money here, don't expect them to treat you with any respect. Save your time and go somewhere that values their customers. read more

We only eat indoors, rarely take out and absolutely never delivery, which is not reliable. By the time your food arrives, it's not appealing. They have no quality control with items leaving the kitchen for delivery. Zero customer service and just flat out disappointing service. The restaurant seems to be under new management since the interior of the restaurant has changed and the menu prices have seen a significant price hike. We usually order the sushi when we eat here or the hibachi and we are impressed with the flavor of the food and ambience. The service is hit or miss since many times we get younger servers that seem to be distracted and are not too attentive. On a handful of occasions, we have gotten good service but for the most part once you get your food, they will not be coming by to refill your beverages or check on you. They do not have fountain drinks, so if you or someone that drinks a lot of soda be prepared to purchase multiple bottles of soda, thus making your bill much higher. Our family always enjoys the food and ambience but we're very shocked to see that the prices have gone up tremendously. We usually would spend $120 for a family of four with no alcohol and the last time we went we spent $190 for the same exact meal items. For that reason alone, we will not be going here anymore. 2pm on a week day. Location is in the heart of the landscaper and horticultural growing lands of deep South Florida. The location is convenient for drive up dining and suitable the urban fly by garden shopper, a sub-suburban experience. This location proves miami efficient, but operates in a California water upon request fashion. Ask for everything you want or tell them what you want, this is not a traditional Japanese urban experience, don't expect southern hospitality, or automatic service, but service never the less when requested. I ordered miso soup it was very light, the fries soft shell crab was a generous serving, one crab was interestingly textured, the other two were good and nicely crunchy. The accompanying sauce was very salty and flavorful. I also had the sashimi appetizer that was fresh and well presented. The appetizer is suitable for one person. The sashimi diner feeds two if served with an appetizer. It is more like a sushi fast food experience than a sit down restaurant. Do not expect diner napkins for your lap, this is not the Japanese Embassy grab a fork and dive in. I would describe this as casual lunch dining with a fast food at table edge experience. read more

I've always loved Sushi Saki for their amazing rolls. They typically never disappoint. This was my first time at the Redlands location, and I was a little disappointed that the food wasn't what I was used to. The staff was amazing and friendly. Unfortunately, the rolls weren't very good. We got an order of the Shrimp Fried Rice, Fried Gyoza, Tuna Tartare, and the Shrimp Tempura Roll. The rice and gyoza were pretty good. The tuna in the tartare wasn't very good. The quality of the fish wasn't very good and you good tell. I was able to mask it with the hot sauce and avocado it came with. The roll was the most disappointing part of our meal. The crazy thing is I've had it before at other locations, it's usually my go-to roll. Today it was just different. The rice was over cooked and soggy and on top of that they drizzled sauce on the roll so it just had a very "wet" look and feeling to it. I was so bummed that the meal wasn't what I was hoping for. Hopefully it was just a bad day and they'll be better next time. I didn't even take a pic of the rolls, lol. I don't know what happened toward the end of our visit but the pungent smell of bad fish permeated the entire restaurant. Enough that my daughter pointed it out.
