First time here and it was REALLY GOOD! Nice small intimate location. We went to celebrate a birthday and truly enjoyed it. The food looked so good I forgot to take pictures lol ( everything is as pictured ) we ordered some of EVERYTHING. Crab Rangoon, combination fried rice ( my favorite) and a couple of different sushi rolls. We all shared across the table and absolutely enjoyed ourselves and the food! I had a terrible experience at Sushi Sake in Homestead, and I will not be returning. From the moment I placed my order over the phone, Elana (or Eliena) had an attitude and made the entire process unpleasant. I spent over $100 on my order, and I would have expected far better customer service than what I received. When I arrived to pick up my food, I noticed the portion sizes were much smaller than expected, so l asked about it. Elana told me she could ask the chef to add a little more, but then rudely said that next time I shouldn't expect the same thing. On top of that, I was kicked out and told to wait outside for the rest of my order because apparently, customers picking up food aren't allowed to wait inside. I've never heard of such a policy before, and it felt completely unnecessary. To make matters worse, all meals come with a soup or salad, but I didn't receive mine. When I asked about it, Elana dismissively said that because I didn't mention it, I wouldn't be getting it. That makes no sense-if it comes with the meal, why would I have to ask for it separately? They also only gave one tiny sauce for the entire meal, which was nowhere near enough. Overall, the food itself wasn't enough to make up for the terrible customer service. l've been to plenty of Sushi Sake locations, and I've never had an experience this bad. If you're going to spend good money here, don't expect them to treat you with any respect. Save your time and go somewhere that values their customers. read more

Great choice for locals, with a robust menu of Sushi-related items and Thai offerings made by qualified chefs. We only eat indoors, rarely take out and absolutely never delivery, which is not reliable. By the time your food arrives, it's not appealing. Service in the restaurant is very good; the decor and settings are pleasant. They make a good miso soup, kanisu appetizer, good sushi rolls (some creative variations), good sashimi, Pad Thai, green curry, etc We're lucky to have Sushi Sake in our neighborhood, but do not depend on delivery services. read more

The restaurant seems to be under new management since the interior of the restaurant has changed and the menu prices have seen a significant price hike. We usually order the sushi when we eat here or the hibachi and we are impressed with the flavor of the food and ambience. The service is hit or miss since many times we get younger servers that seem to be distracted and are not too attentive. On a handful of occasions, we have gotten good service but for the most part once you get your food, they will not be coming by to refill your beverages or check on you. They do not have fountain drinks, so if you or someone that drinks a lot of soda be prepared to purchase multiple bottles of soda, thus making your bill much higher. Our family always enjoys the food and ambience but we're very shocked to see that the prices have gone up tremendously. We usually would spend $120 for a family of four with no alcohol and the last time we went we spent $190 for the same exact meal items. For that reason alone, we will not be going here anymore. Usually I order this multiple times a month for delivery. Overall it is an OK bite to have. Nothing I usually order really has any outstanding flavor. I've always loved Sushi Saki for their amazing rolls. They typically never disappoint. This was my first time at the Redlands location, and I was a little disappointed that the food wasn't what I was used to. The staff was amazing and friendly. Unfortunately, the rolls weren't very good. We got an order of the Shrimp Fried Rice, Fried Gyoza, Tuna Tartare, and the Shrimp Tempura Roll. The rice and gyoza were pretty good. The tuna in the tartare wasn't very good. The quality of the fish wasn't very good and you good tell. I was able to mask it with the hot sauce and avocado it came with. The roll was the most disappointing part of our meal. The crazy thing is I've had it before at other locations, it's usually my go-to roll. Today it was just different. The rice was over cooked and soggy and on top of that they drizzled sauce on the roll so it just had a very "wet" look and feeling to it. I was so bummed that the meal wasn't what I was hoping for. Hopefully it was just a bad day and they'll be better next time. I didn't even take a pic of the rolls, lol. I don't know what happened toward the end of our visit but the pungent smell of bad fish permeated the entire restaurant. Enough that my daughter pointed it out. The food here was amazing here, once upon a time. Now, it's horrible. I ordered tuna tataki and it was extremely salty. It did not have the ponzu sauce it usually has. The restaurant is small, and due to COVID, the seating is limited. We sat outside for this reason, this wasn't a huge issue for us as we feel a bit better eating in open air anyway. It was around 7pm, so it was quite dark outside, the outdoor seating is so-so, no atmosphere, very little lighting besides the cars pulling in with their headlights on, and sounds from the road and gas station. The service was okay, they were attentive to the point of checking up on us, but our waitress was very forgetful, had some miscommunication issues, and was in a rush to get us in and out as quickly as possible. When ordering, I asked her to see if I could get a half portion of a sushi roll instead of a full portion (A full portion is 10 pieces, I wanted 5, if possible), she said it was possible. She came and double checked with me a few minutes later that she got what I was asking right - but when she brought it out, there was a full portion sushi roll cut in half on the plate (So two giant rolls the size of an eggroll). I didn't send it back to avoid further confusion and sucked it up and ate it. Another person in my family ordered steak fried rice (with an up charge) with their meal but did not receive it. The waitress double checked her notepad in front of us that she wrote it down and rung it up, but when we told her that we did not get the steak fried rice she was very confused. We said it was fine but that we wanted it off our bill. Later on we ended up having to remind her to take it off our bill, no point in paying for it if we didn't eat it. Speaking on the bill, she was very rushed to get us our bill so we could leave, I didn't get to finish my meal by the time she brought the check for us to leave. I had to ask the waitress at least 5 times to bring me a to-go box. Upon returning home so I could finish my meal in the peace of our kitchen, I pulled a grey hair out of my rice! (Picture included). I am 22 with medium length brown curly hair, it was definitely not mine, or the waitress'.
