My friend recommended this place to me since I was complementing her on her beautiful brows. The other lady I tried when I was in LA did a horrendous job and I was pretty traumatized. I came in on a Sunday and it was a quick wait, I just happen to be there when everyone else was there but she was really quick and did a great job on everyone. If you use a credit card, she will charge you 85 cents and WILL tell you before she does it. I didn't catch my lady's name but I know she's there on the weekends so I will definitely return to see her! Parking is HORRID. I ended up parking a couple blocks away. There's a cool coffee shop next door that I want to try, great for boyfriends who come along and is stuck waiting for you ;) read more

I've been here two times. The first time, it was great! She was fast and removed all hairs from eyebrows and lip. Total was $10. Second time, she missed the hairs from my eyebrows. I think she accidentally cut off part of it and couldn't get the rest of it (it's so short tweezing won't get it). I usually tear up after threading so I didn't notice it until I left; it's so noticeable my bf pointed out. I noticed that for credit cards she'll charge you an extra 85 cents but won't tell you she did it. She'll just enter it in. I would give her more but I can't stand it when a business doesn't fully disclose their policies and when they skip over a noticeable spot. read more

I've been going this place since they opened shop. The owner of the place does it the BEST. She's gentle and will show you your eyebrows and ask if they're good for you. She's also very friendly and remembers her customers names. For $6, they do a great job. I use to go someplace else for my eyebrows but my former eyebrow lady threaded them painfully. You won't regret getting your brows done here! read more

Two stars because the price is reasonable but the quality isnt the greatest. When I first started coming here I loved it, the lady I would go to was great. (I never asked for her name). I guess she doesn't work here since I haven't seen her and it's only two other people I see. The older lady does great work. Really wish I can say the same about the younger one. Let me start off by saying my eyebrows are never truly clean. It's hard to see in the pics but she doesn't bother to tweeze the casualties. I never tell her anything bc at another place I asked for the same request and she ended up thinning them out. Another time , the same younger one cut my eyebrows super bad. Even she knew it. She asked if I was okay and put lotion on my eyebrows, which started to irritate them. Terrible terrible. I only came back because it's super close to where I live and I was running errands in the neighborhood. Will I be coming back again? I don't know, for the mean time I'll start looking for another place. read more

Awful job. My eyebrows look thick and have no shape. She didn't ask me how I wanted them done and did not do them symmetrical at all. She drooled on my face and her breath smelled awful. Disgusting. When she drooled on my face she then laughed and gave a unapologetic apology. My usual place Tatiana Brow Bar was closed, next time I will just wait and not go anywhere else. read more

My friend recommended this place and I am so happy that I went here. I came in here couple times and the girl did my eyebrows and my upper lip. $5.99 for eyebrows and $3.99 for upper lip. She did an excellent job! My eyebrows are not the same, one is thick and one is thin but she will fix for you and make it look perfect. For my upper lip, there's a little pain but you can manage it. I'm just not used to threading my upper lip because i used to do wax but it doesn't remove all the hair unlike threading it's very clean and it takes awhile to grow. Excellent customer service. The girl who works here is very nice. (Sorry I don't remember her name ) Very affordable price and I definitely recommend this place. :) read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I have been looking for a new place to get my eyebrows done and of course I found this AMAZING place on yelp. The lady that does the threading (I forgot her name) is so sweet and so nice. She listens to what you want and doesn't do what she wants. She is super fast and is great at what she does. I used to love coming to this place! Great price and great work. They never have the same employee working there for more than a month. Went today and new employee cut my lip twice while threading my upper lip! In the 5 years that I've been getting threading, I have never been cut this way. You can get lucky and get someone that does a nice job, most often it's hit or miss. I will not be returning. read more

Don't go here. I used to and was happy with the work but today someone FUCKED MY EYEBROWS UP. I clearly said "keep the shape and just clean up here" and she made my eyebrows so thin that I look like a 90s teenager. I am very upset and unhappy. I tried to tell her how thin they looked and she responded by saying "No they're not." They are also un even. I said "They aren't the same on both sides." She said "That's because your eyebrows aren't the same." Now I just have to wait for them to grow out. read more

Im really picky about my brows but this place left my eyebrows exactly how I wanted them. She perfectly shaped my brow, didn't hurt me, was quick, and it was 6 dollars. I've paid 20 dollars before for eyebrow threading and this place was so much better. Whenever my eyebrows turn caterpillar like again I will definitely return. read more

I am super picky about my eyebrows because they are thin and a bit uneven. She listened to my specifications and did a fantastic job. She was very meticulous and careful. Showed me the work halfway in so that I could approve or make changes. Definitely recommend. Update: I went in again and the woman made a MESS of my eyebrows. I don't know what she was thinking but I look like Jessica Rabbit after 5 years of meth use. read more

This place is great!! Its right off York so it's in the middle of the really cute part of town and the price is super reasonable. She took her time, and when she was putting the aloe on my brows she gave me a temple massage and it felt amazing. Def will be coming back here. read more

While in a frenzy upset that my eyebrow lady was outta town I did a quick yelp search and Arti popped up. So happy I found her location. After she did 1 brow she asked me if I liked it, which is reassuring to me. Second time I went she had a bit more ladies waiting and she did my brows kinda thin, not sure if she's just trying to rush. but overall, she's awesome & I'll remain a client of hers. *Street parking & be sure to put coins cause I always see the parking guys checking *Accepts credit/debit cards - That's a plus in my book read more

I'm so glad that a friend recommended York Eyebrow Threading to me a few months ago. It saves me so much money and time now that I don't have to drive to Ziba in Glendale or Arcadia every other week. Since I live in Eagle Rock, it's so much more convenient for me -- quick, easy, and painless. I don't have a preferred artist (yet), but all the ladies who work here are extremely gentle and legitimately good at what they do. Just let them know what you're trying to accomplish and leave it to them to work their magic. It gets pretty busy during the weekends, but it's definitely worth the wait. If you have time to go during the week, I'd recommend stopping by in the early evening since they are open until 7 PM. read more

So I went in today and my regular girl just had her baby. Oh boy why did I sit down?! I told her just a clean up and to keep the front of my brows square. She took so much off the front of 1 of my brows and thinned them out a lot. Now I have to grow them out for months. To make it worse her breath smelled like curry and I could feel her saliva on my face from the thread. read more

Had a great experience here. The lady here Arti is thorough and checks with you frequently to make sure you're getting what you want. You also get a mini brow massage when you're done! It comes out to 6:85 including tax and a small cc fee. I think I found my new place! There's metered street parking as well as free street parking in the neighborhoods around the area. read more

A mans review!! I was a little disappointed on how they did my eyebrows. I went in and the lady was very courteous said hello and sat me down the chair and right away started to work on my eyebrows, didn't ask if I had any special request or if I wanted them a certain way, Me being a guy panic and told her "please just clean up and a little shape just the normal shape" she said "ok" she continued on to do my eyebrows, when she was finished shaping them and cleaning them up she showed me in the mirror and it had no shape!! It was just flat and straight -.- I told her "oh no it's just straight!!" She said that's how your eyebrow is. No it's not that's how she left it. She then told me I can fix it but it will be thinner. I said no thank you just leave it alone and finished the other one. The whole time she kept blaming the way my eyebrow was shape. Having 5 stars I completely trusted them and thought they would do a good job but I was wrong. So if your a man and is considering going here I suggest not to. Find another spot. Having moved across town, I was in need of a new threading salon. I came here because it's within walking distance. I came here asking for my brows to not be too thin. I'm always nervous about my brows, which are sparse and asymmetrical. There was no need to worry. My brows came out looking even, beautiful, and just the right width. I didn't catch the name of the lady who worked on my brows, but she passed me a mirror twice to make sure I was happy with the progress--once after finishing one brow, and again after finishing the second. In the middle of the afternoon on a weekday, there was no wait. I was in and out in about ten minutes. Also, the price can't be beat - $10 for brows and upper lip. The salon is clean, and there are seats along the wall in case of a wait. FYI: Credit cards are accepted with a small transaction fee. Feel like a new person! read more

I have been going to this place for awhile now and I'm always satisfied with the results with my eyebrows. However, today I had a bad experience. The original girl that I go to was not there so I decided to try a different girl name Ronzu (hopefully I spelled her name right) but I was not happy with her. When she was threading my upper lip, her fingers kept touching my lips. It was so gross. I tried to tuck my lips in but it would move my tongue. I consistently tucked and untucked my lips so she can finish. On top of that she started doing small talks, which was fine, but when she found out that I'm not married and have no kids she said "oh I'm so sorry." Very rude. Plus, she did not do a great job with my eye brows. She took off extra hair that it made my eyebrows look shorter. Never going to go with her ever again. read more

I hardly ever write reviews and the few times I do, it's either for really bad experience or an extremely good experience. This review is for the latter. I try to avoid getting my brows done regularly because I have a low tolerance to pain but I decided to get my brows done for my birthday. I warned Arti that I'm really sensitive and a bit apprehensive about getting my brows done due to fear of pain. She made sure to be gentle yet precise and I loved the way the came out. She told me the longer my hairs get, the more painful it is to get my brows threaded. And despite me not getting my brows threaded for 7 months (yea, I'm really lazy), I barely felt any pain! On top of that, she has great prices. Lips and Brows done for $10. I really hope this place stays in business because I intend to become a regular here! Thanks Arti! read more

I went to get my eyebrows threaded once when I was like 14 and I absolutely hated it. It was so painful and I vowed to never do it again. While in Eagle rock I tried to find a waxing place and I stumbled across York Eyebrow Threading and said "what the heck?" and just decided to get them done there. It took no more than five minutes and my eyebrows looked beautiful not to mention it was only about $7 or $8. I've definitely found my new eyebrow place!! read more

Parking is not the easiest thing to find unless you park above or below the plaza, so parking in front of the area can be a bit difficult. So, service... I was asked to sit at one of the stations and then I told the person that I wanted them to be cleaned up and shaped but to leave it on the thicker side so I can continue to shape them in the future. Well, she cut some of the hairs, which is standard. Then she threaded lightly above the brow only to clean it up and not shape it. Then she barely cleaned up the arch area and asked if I was ok with the service. Honestly, I could have cleaned up with tweezers, but whatever. So then she does the same thing on the other side. And that was it. She didn't thread them to the point they were shaped, they looked barely cleaned up but there was no finesse to them. I don't think I'll go back. I truly wanted to like them. I went there because I saw the pictures so I figured they'd do a decent service. It was meh or sub-par at best. 3 stars because of the business cleanliness and sanitation practices.
