They are some of the nicest people I have ever met in my life. When I had my truck and needed repairs they did the best job ever. They answered my numerous calls to check on my car while it was in their car and never made me feel like I was a bother. They have a lot of patience and a lot of knowledge about the work they do. I work in the city all week so when I found out that Yonkers auto body repair was open for a few hours on Saturday (7:00 am to 11:00 am), I called them to see if I can come by and get my car assessed for damage and repairedon Saturday. I was given a hard time when I was told that Saturday's are just reserved for pick up and drop offs. When I explained about not being able to come on during the week, the person on the other end of the phone relented and said I can come by and get an estimate. The hours they were open was confirmed. Saturday comes and I arrive at 9:00 am. The gate into the parking lot of the business is closed and locked. I called for 45 minutes continually with no answer on any of the times I called. This place is running an insurance scam. They claimed to fix my car and send a lofty bill to the insurance company. However, all the major parts such as transmission cooler and radiator were not even replaced and remained damaged. This led to further damage of my car. I had to bring my brand new car in. I had only had this car for three weeks and got in an accident. And my dealership suggested I go to Yonkers auto body. Tony and Hugo were amazing from start to finish. Not only were they able to do the work faster than any other auto body shop but they were very fine with me calling every few days to check in. They gave me constant updates and we're honest about timing and I could tell that them and their crew were working very hard the entire time to get it done as fast as possible. I imagine a good deal of these reviews are from family and friends. I have spoke to several people here who have shared similar stories like the one I will share. Was referred to YAB from the Central Ave Dodge Dealer ( The dodge dealer brother owns YAB i later find out). Had slight front damage due to fender bender. YAB quoted 12k to fix and included all new parts that didn't need to be changed. My insurance company agreed to pay in full and YAB went to work. I reviewed the charge list and instructed them to not include a few parts since I would be putting on after market. When I went to pick the car up, I noticed defects in body work and the charges for the left out parts were still included. I also noticed parts they itemized would be replaced were in fact not replaced. As an example, the under hood fabric deadening still had coolant spray all over including the entire engine bay. When I pointed out the extra charges were still included on the final bill, the body shop stated they had to do extra work not included on original estimate and the cost canceled itself. One of the cost was resetting the electronics (* which I did not believe) and needed to be done. This was $150. When I started the car, every single radio station, XM station and all bluetooth settings were still loaded in the memory. If they did a full reset, everything should have been deleted. Fast forward a week later and the entire clear coat on the front bumper was peeling off already. I emailed and they gave some lame excuse about not having enough time to dry. Two months later when I bring the car for oil change, I am alerted the super charge fluid was not the correct one. YAB claimed the insurance company did not authorize the OEM fluid cost and they mixed their own. I called my insurance and they of course said flat out was not the case as they demand all parts and fluids to be OEM. Central Avenue Dodge now says they need to flush the entire system to get rid of the boot leg mixture and put in OEM. Do yourself a favor, go to another body shop. These guys are the reason our insurance bill is high. They lie, steal and scam everyone and on top of that do crappy work. I imagine the brothers share the insurance proceed as no reputable dealer would recommend a place that does poor body work. My insurance company is opening up a claim and investigating. I will update this review once I have new information. Remember, you have been warned.... read more
