Yoke's should not have a postal contract with the USPS if they are unwilling to handle the workload of a post office and are constantly get angry with customers who bring in packages to be mailed. If you don't want postal customers lining up at your guest services counter where your postal location is at, maybe you should consider separating them into two separate lines and actually have a clerk there who is trained on how to process mail like a postal clerk. read more

This deli advertisers rotisserie chicken but when I make that special trip, even during the dinner hour, they never seem to have it available. I finally asked the manager why they can't seem to be prepared with rotisserie like any other grocery deli and he thought he would inquire also. He promised (for some reason ..although if it's been this disorganized for this long - since late summer last year - I could tell it would be out of his control) he would fix whatever situation seems to complicate getting those chickens out. I have since run into the same situation the next several times I've arrived to Yoke's Deli. I'm either told that chicken hasn't come in for the day (by dinner time lol) and my second last time the deli counter person told me he is busy cleaning the ovens, at 5:15 p.m. before they start before they start doing any rotisserie chicken, that's a pretty late start for cleaning and when I returned about 20 minutes later the next deli counter person tells me they haven't got chicken in all day. So that's obviously their standard answer when they've been too disorganized to get things rolling. I spoke to the manager once again to tell him now I've got two different excuses within the same 15-minute period and he says he's been trying to get rid of the deli staff for quite a while but he will bring this to his manager once again. So I've been going to Roseuers deli counter who, of course, never has issues with rotisserie chicken being ready starting by 2:00 p.m. but today I thought I would give him one more try since they were on my route to where I was heading and the excuse from Hillary today when I called ahead at 5:30 p.m was that the fried chicken was out of stock so everybody that wanted fried chicken bought up the rotisserie chicken instead. Okay, I'm a little ashamed of myself already that I keep indulging what feels like children who don't want to do their chores. And I've dealt with the manager and Riley for the last time with them blowing smoke up my ass pretending to offer the most sincere ideas of resolution as though they have any control over the matter. These 30.00 gift certificates handed out for compensation doesn't address my single need for what I head to yolks deli for. How is it so difficult to elevate such a simple standard that they advertise offering to the public that is not even the slightest issue in compliance with all these other supermarket delis? There hasn't been a single alternate supermarket deli I've entered over the past 5 months of Yoke's Indian Trail fiasco having their rotisserie chickens available each time I enter their store either after work or after going to the gym. The only thing I can believe from all the excuses I've heard from staff at this location is that I'm just dealing with children every time I arrive or call there. read more

To me, this seems like your average grocery store in a nice area of town. The two biggest things I look at when judging grocery stores are the produce section and the meat selection. Here, the produce selection was fresh and of generally high quality. However, I mostly found the usual suspects and nothing terribly interesting or exciting. Only a few types of onions and not a lot of different types of peppers. The meat selection I found to be woefully inadequate. Frankly, there were a lot of crap cuts of meat, and little that was actually appealing. I was looking for a pork loin - a rather common cut of meat, and it was nowhere to be found. Aside from that, the people are friendly, the beer selection is remarkably diverse and it seems to be organized fairly well. read more

Glad we found Yoke's- less expensive than Huckleberry's yet higher end than Albertsons or Safeway. I enjoy their seafood section- found some decent deals on wild seafood (typically we'll only eat shellfish if farmed seafood). Their produce section is varied, fresh and fairly priced. I don't always want to buy by the caseload as I must at Costco. read more

First and foremost, I would like to point out that I am still giving Yoke's Foods on Indian Trail Road a 5/5 Star review, even if it is a bit more spendy for some items then it might be at, say, Walmart. I love the friendly atmosphere here. It seems that it doesn't matter what employee I come in contact with, they are always incredibly friendly and more than willing to help me and my family out with anything. Example: Today I needed to find a lotion that did not contain anything Lanolin-related. I asked the Pharmacist if she had any recommendations. Her name is Lou. She actually came from behind the counter and walked through a couple different sections of the store to show me a few kinds of lotions I could purchase with my specifications. The entire time she did it with a smile on her face, and never made me feel like I was inconveniencing her - which is wonderful! Also, she even made my almost 4-month old son giggle at her, which was very sweet. I have so many example's that I could give you as to why I love this store, but there just isn't enough room here. (By the way, I also have visited the Argonne/Montgomery store and received the same amazing service!) I find myself excited to shop at Yokes. I buy all of my fresh produce through them, even if I can find it cheaper elsewhere. At least I know my food will be handled with care! If you're looking for a friendly environment to do your grocery shopping in, I would definitely consider giving this store a try!! :-) read more

Yokes Foods in Spokane Wa are way over priced. I shop at Safeway and find that thier prices are better and the quality is better. Yokes tries to say they have stuff others dont, that is not true. They carry a few signature items but you will pay much more for everything else. We have tried Yokes several times and each time we end up back at Safeway or Walmart. Fact: 9 out of 12 stores are in the red. I wonder why? read more

I called to make a cake order. Yes it was last minute because I some how forgot to order one and a girl named Taylor was so incredibly rude and when I told her I just needed some good customer service and someone willing to help me she responded yea well if you want good customer service you shouldn't forget these things because "most people" don't forget!!! I am completely dumbfounded and can't believe that I was treated this way by somebody in the customer service industry. read more

Ok grocery store, people working there are friendly Ive gotten spices at Yokes that other stores don't stock, produce is fresh.

Yoke's and Rosauers are the two Spokane area grocery stores I shop at most frequently. Yoke's consistently has the best quality produce and have some items that you can't find at other stores around town and the employees are always friendly and helpful. I find their meats to be hit or miss. I bought a rib roast for Father's Day that was fantastic, but another time bought a Yoke's brand corned beef brisket that was incredibly bland. I've bought vegetable starters from their garden center the last couple years. The good is that the plants are nice and healthy and the prices are very reasonable. The bad is that either their supplier tags plants incorrectly, or the tags get mixed up somewhere along the way. Last year I bought what were supposed to be burpless English-style cucumber plants, they turned out to be regular cucumbers. This year I bought what were supposed to be three Brandywine tomato plants, only one turned out to be Brandywine, the other two are some completely different red variety. I also again bought English-style cucumber plants, and two of three plants turned out to be pickling cucumbers. The worst thing about it is that you have no way of knowing that you've gotten the wrong plants until several months later when they start producing veggies and it's too late to start over. So while I'll keep buying groceries there, I think I will have to look elsewhere for my vegetable plants in the future. read more
