Made with fresh fruits! Soooo refreshing and delicious! I got the banana + strawberry yogurt! Best combo!

On a whim, the three of us went to split some frozen yogurt. My friend told me she enjoys going here over Menchies as they use fresh fruit when make it. I was interested in the popping pearls so we went for the transparent looking ones (I forgot the flavour) with our vanilla low fat yogurt. It was around $5 which I paid $2 of for my share. It was small, but really delicious! I've never had kiwi as frozen yogurt base. The popping pearls were enjoyable as well, a small pop of flavour. Would do again!

I'll usually make a pit stop at Yogen Fruz whenever I'm back in Vancouver and shopping at my favourite mall. They have great fruit blended yogurts, which I haven't seen much of in the States. You can choose from low-fat, non-fat, and reduced sugar bases. At ~110 calories per serving, it's hardly a guilty pleasure. I like that blended froyo allows you to create whatever flavours you want. I usually get mine with matcha green tea and lychee/blueberries. The matcha flavour's really great and adding the fruit makes me feel healthier. On my most recent visit I got a chocolate chai blended yogurt topped with sliced almonds (http://www.yelp.ca/biz_photos/OeU0jYQw6qhfZbpghaBw-g?select=_9W9OWiE3zn0xk107M88dQ). It was creamy and the chai flavour reminded of Christmas. I also really liked the crunch from all the almonds. However, I do have one big complaint--the inflated prices. Each fruit you add to your blended froyo sets you back 75¢, which can add up quickly. Toppings, of course, are also extra. $5 is more than what I'd like to spend on a quick snack at the mall. I could go to McDonald's and just get a soft-serve cone for a lot less. Also, when is Vancouver gonna catch on to the self-serve froyo craze???

Funny to see all the shopping big names in this section with Michael Kors & Bebe, then bam, this small but pricey yogurt place that seems out of place; the food court is on the other side haha in this mall. Ordered the probiotic Anti-oxidant one with blueberries/strawberries, probably not the season b/c these weren't too sweet. compared to Freshii, YF should be a pass---esp. at $7.50 for this big size.

Love me a yogen Fru whenever I see one. My go to would be the strawberry cheese cake and Matcha. Toppings I love adding on the popping bobbas yogurt chips and mochi. I like that it's just the right amount of tart Ness

They charged us the regular price (medium size) and gave us the small size while having "Taro Promotion" on the screen. It was unethical.

There were a few unique flavors of gelato like yuzu and black sesame. It was intense in flavor and super smooth. In addition to gelato, there's also cakes/pastries. Those too were also really good. The pear almond crostini was delicious. PS on the day I visited, the temperature inside was warmer than outside. The air was also pretty stale which downgraded the ambiance however it was something minor.

This time, I visited to try their limited item for the Hot Chocolate Festival. #021 Milano Tehran - A luxurious fusion of flavors, this hot chocolate pairs the rich, floral notes of Iranian saffron with the creamy smoothness of Callebaut's premium Belgian white chocolate. Served with an in-house-made cannoli piped with pistachio gelato. The white chocolate texture was smooth, and I liked the balance of sweetness. The standout item was the pistachio gelato in the cannoli. As usual, the gelato was very delicious. However, the hot chocolate temperature was too high, and it seemed to have lost some of its flavor because of that. It was hard for me to taste the saffron flavor or the floral notes. I think I will revisit to try a different item, though the gelato never disappoints.

There's a classic milk soft serve and another flavor which they can twist together with the classic milk. They seem to feature new flavors every month or so. I think I had seen from their Instagram page that they had an Ube soft serve back in April. Right now we're in early June and the flavor that we got for our twist was a cookie butter soft serve. Not sure how much longer they will have the cookie butter flavor as I had thought that it was supposed to be just for the month of May. So...I guess they don't always change the flavor right at the beginning of each month. They do change the flavors every so often though. I ordered the Green Forest which is supposed to have matcha powder, sweet red beans and condensed milk. They had run out of red beans when I went so they let met choose a different topping to replace the red beans. That actually suited me better anyways as I'm not a big fan of red beans. I chose the Green Forest for the matcha flavor in it, not the red bean! I ended up choose toasted coconut as a replacemenet for the red beans. Yum yum yum! My daughter chose the Brown Sugar Pearls option which came with brown sugar drizzle, and soft, chewy tapioca pearls. Hubby opted for the Mudslide which came with Tim Tam crumbs and chocolate syrup. I think the one thing I'd like to see at this place would be more flavors of soft serve to choose from. Having only two flavors makes things simpler for them I suppose. Happy enough with what they offer since they do have lots of interesting toppings to choose from, but...more flavors of soft serve would be cool to see. Parking: Pay parking on the street but the meter is free from 8pm. Service: Fair

Had a birthday freebie to redeem and well...it's not really free anymore if you're paying for your child to have a scoop of ice cream as well, is it? So while my child was elsewhere, decided to head to Metrotown and treat myself to a free scoop of gelato. I ordered Matcha gelato and it was fantastic! There's something to be said about enjoying life on one's own sometimes. Yes, of course I like enjoying life with others. In fact, most of the time I'd probably rather enjoy these kinds of moments with others. However, there's also some value in learning to enjoy some moments of life on one's own. Perfect example: When one has a bday freebie to redeem and one doesn't want to spend extra money on being able to enjoy that free food with someone because then the food isn't actually free anymore! They make fabulous gelato here, and they have other non gelato related treats as well. Cookies, Macarons and Mochi donuts can be found here. I love that the service wasn't any less just because I was coming in for a freebie. That kind of service gives me more incentive to come and actually spend money at some point in the future.
