Think we got unlucky with our froyo order here, since it tasted weird and we couldn't even finish it. I came here on a friend's recommendation. She visited Vancouver with her boyfriend two years ago and their froyo from Timothy's was the highlight of their whole trip, so I came with very high expectations, especially since I love froyo. My friend and I came on a Sunday afteroon around 5, and there were a couple folks in line. They have some helpful signs directing you where to go; the froyo line is on the left and the gelato/ice cream line is on the right. What makes the froyo different here is that it's blended with real fruit. You can either choose one fruit or pay $0.75 to combine two fruits. We both love mango, so we decided to share a single serving of the mango froyo in their homemade waffle cone ($6.25). We were expecting a nice tart mango taste, but instead our froyo had a weird tart flavor that didn't taste like mango at all. I only ate a couple bites of it before I was done, and same with my friend. We threw the rest away, which was such a shame. read more

When we're in Vancouver in the summer, this is always one of our stops (or sometimes we'll go there a couple of times during the trip). Everybody comes here for the frozen yogurt blended with fresh fruit - they have all different types of fruit including mango, peach and mixed berry. I always get mango which is super tasty and not too sweet. The waffle cones are made in-house, and they used to make them fresh to order but don't anymore. On the few occasions where we randomly decided to go to Steveston Wharf, we always have to get frozen yogurt (and when I saw "we", it is really just ME that wants it). Lol Blueberry is my ultimate favourite but other flavours are just as good. They blend fresh fruit with the frozen yogurt and their waffle cones are made in-house. After checking out the menu, we decided on a couple of flavours to buy. We walked in, and then randomly these two rude ladies came and awkwardly budged in front of us. There was no line at all, we thought since we had decided from the sign maybe they didn't see the menu so they wanted to see the case? It was so weird. The staff didn't comment to them on this, but we were ready to go and they were still deciding. We were waiting for our order to be taken, but the girl behind the counter was intently watching these ladies to see what they decided. We said out loud we were ready to order.. but she was still so busy waiting for these other people that she just completely ignored us. We waited a few minutes.. finally the other people decided what they were going to get and still not even being acknowledged we ended up leaving after standing there ready to order with no line except these two random ladies. When they did finally decide they even said ok now we are ready 'too' so it was definitely clear we were ready to order. We could have ordered, paid and been served in that time.. and we walked in the door first to not be greeted. I've only ever ordered the mix berry frozen yogurt in a waffle cone since the mid-90's and that's all I"ll probably ever order from here. Nostalgia is a powerful thing, but as objectively as I can say, this is still the freshest place to get waffle cones that I've ever found. They're literally made right on the spot and served immediately. That aspect alone makes it a unique and enhanced experience. The frozen yogurt is pretty simple being blended in with the scoop of mixed frozen berries (and there's a choice of mangos, strawberries and a couple others), but it's still perfect when paired with the warm and soft waffle cone. In spite of their name, they do also have ice cream and gelato. Feel free to try out it, but I'll stick with the froyo. See you again in a couple years or so! read more

I have to say that this ice cream made up for my ice cream loss at Rain or Shine the night before where I couldn't find a flavour to order due to their unpalatable samples. We've been coming here every time we're in Steveston and they're always good. I love the mint Oreo (mint cookie?). It's pretty much one of the only places that have that flavour. The mint isn't overpowering so if you like Oreo ice cream but love mint chocolate chip, then this is an amazing ice cream to get! I also discovered the Espresso one. It's got a nice rich coffee flavour with dark chocolate espresso bean enriched chips. Soooo good! The cone is not as light and crispy as Rain or Shine's but it was warm when we got it. Depending on your preference for fresh cones, it may be too soggy because of the melted ice cream or alright because you've got a fresh cone. Can't wait to come back! read more

This is my favourite place ever to get frozen yogurt. Located by the beautiful Steveston wharf, it's a perfect place to visit on a nice day. I always get a single size frozen yogurt with a waffle cone. They make their waffle cones fresh in front of you, and you can really taste the difference that makes. They then blend fresh frozen fruit with the delicious frozen yogurt block. It's not at all like the frozen yogurt at Pinkberry or Menchies, etc. It's way way better! I never mix fruits because I'm too cheap, but my favourites to get are cherry, mango, or peach. Blackberry and mixed berry have a lot of seeds, and strawberry does a bit too. Cranberry is really tart. I would like to see pineapple on their fruit list. Most recently I got mango and it was blended so smoothly. Oh my gosh it was so good. The only thing is they can't really maintain consistent sizing with the portions because some staff scoop a lot of fruit, making a bigger portion of frozen yogurt, and some staff scoop very little. If the fruit chunks are small, that usually makes for a smaller yogurt. You will see in my pictures that my mango frozen yogurt is way bigger than the cherry. Also, sometimes they cook the waffle cone too long, making it a darker brown and not as tasty (to my preference anyway). It's cash only, and their hours in the winter season are weird. They basically close whenever they like or when it gets dark. Yes, I eat these year round. They need a stamp card or something because I come here way too much. I'm addicted!! read more

I have been Steveston village numerous times but I never wanna try Timothy's at all. Sunny and hot evening, my friends craving for ice cream/yogurt so we lined up for it. I heard it's so popular dessert place at Steveston and the best fresh fruit frozen yogurt! However, it's so disappointed on my hubby's yogurt and my "gelato"! Despite the weather you can't ever go wrong with frozen yogurt. * I got the small cone blueberry yogurt ($6) firstly let's discuss about the waffle cone. The waffle cone is super crunchy and out of all the cones I've tasted this is one of the best ones! Plus they make it fresh in the back! The cone is slightly sweet too so it combines very nicely with their frozen yogurt! * The blueberry yogurt itself was delicious. It does use fresh fruit so I did wish the blueberries had more sweetness to it but that can't be helped.
