Omg where do I start?!…read more I've went there for 5 years (+/- 1) and ever since I went there every instructor has been very kind and helpful. Even more so, for one reason or another they let me in as a friend. Whether it was advice with yoga or personal things, I felt safe and sound. So much so I still feel comfortable calling the owner mama dom. That said I feel blessed and appreciate every minute she spent on as she has a full family of 5 (from when I stopped being a regular) and had so many things on her hands. Was in my best shape after a year or or two after going here and sweating my but off multiple times a week and learning about myself. It's been a while but I'd love to go back on the grind and shed off some weight I've built up over the 3 years I've been slacking. If any of you read this, I f'n love you and will never forget what not only the instructors but fellow yogis have done for me!

It's been 7 years now since my first class with Dominique at little old Yoga Flow in Murrysville,…read morePA. I came in unassuming and never practicing yoga. Immediately I felt welcomed and comfortable. There are students from all walks of life, ages and weights that practice here, and it's something I truly honor about her studios! I must tell you, I left this first practice with not only an addiction to yoga, but a renewal that would never leave me, even 7 years later. I hop from studio to studio since I have moved away from my parent's home, but I always find myself wishing for Dom's classes and style of teaching. She calls it "Vinyasa Flow" a combination of a heated studio (warmly comfortable!) and a flow practice of various poses. But what is wonderful, is that every teacher at Yoga Flow has a unique twist on certain things but sustains Dom's great practice. Dominique truly is a gem of a soul and it radiates through all of her teachers and onto their students. She slows life down for 70-90 minutes. She doesn't rush, she gives everyone attention and help they need in class. And by having a wonderful smelling studio, calming music and happy environment, Yoga Flow provides a retreat from the chaos of the world outside. If you are lucky enough to live near any of her studio's, do yourself a favor and take a class. You may just become a yogi for life. Namaste!

One of my favorite studios…read more I used to go to the weekly Saturday morning $5 community class - all the teachers were terrific. It was a huge help for me during my student years. I remember really enjoying Lisa's intros and teaching method, but really every teacher I had was helpful, deliberate and knowledgeable in their leading of the class.

I waited awhile to write this review, because I didn't want to be the only person in Pittsburgh who…read moredid not like this yoga studio. Well here goes. I purchased a pass for $35.00 for admission to three classes and only used it on one class and I will not be returning for any additional classes. At the start of the class the instructor asked the class what we would all like to work on. One attendee said "the core" I had read the class description several times online and had signed up for a class called "slow flow" which I took to mean more focus on stretching and slow deliberate movements...boy was I wrong. I felt that for a class called slow flow it was very challenging and I was more tense afterwards then I had been before. Personally I can see more advanced yogies having a great time and really enjoying themselves here, but for me as a beginner I felt totally out of the loop and even felt that I was snapped at for not telling the instructor I was a beginner. This yoga study does not have any showers...which for me as some who catches the bus made for a pretty uncomfortable bus ride home. The studio was very warm and cozy and Yoga Hive is a lovely facility even if it lacks showers. It's just not for me. I need more guided mediation and yoga for stress relief not to build abs. I am pretty sad, will I never be able to find a yoga studio to which I can belong? I have these two additional passes that I am certain have expired by now. I hope every one else enjoys their yoga though.
