I've only come here for one class so far, and I was pretty impressed. We did a haute yoga class,…read moreand it was also my first time ever trying any type of yoga at a business so I was really not sure what to expect. But I really loved it! It took some getting used to walking into that hot room, it honestly feels suffocating to begin with but then it gets better, and you feel absolutely amazing after, like totally refreshed and rejuvenated because you've sweated out all the toxins from your body. According to my friend's knowledge, who has done a lot of yoga in her life already, she said the class we did was one of the harder ones, but I still loved it and the challenge and our instructor was super chill and great at explaining things for the most part, and this is coming from a complete beginner. It was really easy to book my spot online, and the prices are definitely not cheap but they aren't the worst either in my opinion. I'm definitely going to come back at some point. And, it's right at the Southgate shopping center so one of the coolest landmarks in Lakeland, how fun!!

As much as I'd like to join the high ratings for this studio I simply can't. I write this as a…read morelong-time yoga practitioner and came here by recommendation. The people working here are very nice and the studio is clean. The practice area is inviting and of ample size, but the initial vibe didn't feel yogic. I prefer getting to my mat early to begin focusing on a calming breath. Studios often display signs on the door asking practitioners to keep the volume down. Here, sunlight pours through the windows, the overhead lights were on, and several members were sitting facing each other having a fairly loud conversation. I don't put this entirely on the studio but promoting silence prior to practice is advisable. The hot yoga class itself, led by a sub, was generic, lacked several elements, and offered no variations for more advanced practitioners. Throughout the class, I kept hoping for more. Though this studio claims this class to be a motivating and challenging experience it felt more like basic YMCA yoga. I expected more for a $21 drop-in fee. I've reviewed countless yoga studios and have practiced all over the world. This is only the second studio that has ever been less than stellar but I feel I've reviewed it fairly.

Attended my 1st pole class at Dandelion & the instructor was not pleasant AT ALL!…read more She actually seemed a bit jealous of the little knowledge I did know for a beginner, idk why her energy was very snobby. The instructor was teaching spin tricks and told me my pole was able to spin when in fact I told her to please unlock my pole in order for it to spin. I told her I had never worked on a spinning pole and she insisted "I was ok to spin, the pole is unlocked and I just need to push harder." I didn't return due to the lack of education from the instructor being nasty to me and the sense she was literally trying to hurt me telling me push harder knowing my pole was LOCKED. yes it is typical to get bruises while polling but for someone to intentionally tell you to do something knowing it could hurt you. It's just simply nasty .I really wasted time & my money! I knew the pole was locked and should have reported the instructor. I would rate the place 0 stars if possible. The pole class consisted of more stretching than doing any of the pole work.... If you're a woman of color DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY PLEASE RUN!!!

I was very relaxed from the moment I arrived on property seeing a beautiful and serene courtyard with a fountain. The spa itself has a no shoes policy (thank you!) so shoes are removed upon entry and the place smelled like lavender ! Milena was my massage therapist and she was very attentive to my body's needs and trouble spots and educated me on how I can help relieve tension at home. She did a total body massage including facial/jaw (I have jaw clenching and tmj issues) which was AMAZING. She also used gentle cups to help relieve some of the more difficult areas with knots and I left feeling like I was on cloud 9! I was offered a delicious and beautiful valentines cupcake on my way out with water which was a nice treat. Milena was so generous and even gave me a cup to bring home!! (Thank youuu!) This Spa also offers Pilates training and other salon treatments. Booking online was easy and fast and communication was great. I was given a discount for being a celebration resident, which was a nice benefit! There is side street parking and the building is very easy to find on GPS. I will definitely be back here to see the staff at Lavender Spa for more massage therapy sessions!
