The kids seem to enjoy the lessons and learn well. 2. They actually practice the techniques one-on-one, even the white belts look capable of defending themselves. Minus: 1. The owner's wife brings her baby to the gym and lets them roam around. This creates distractions and hazards for the baby, the instructors, and the students. When the baby was in the way of practice, the lady warned the instructor to watch out for the baby, instead of picking her up. They could create an office or a safe area for the baby to stay out of harm's way and avoid being stepped on or kicked accidentally. 2. The instructor/professor seems to let students interrupt them unnecessarily during lessons or instructions. It makes the class chaotic, because some kids trying to get the instructor's attention by clamoring them. They need to instill respectful behavior towards the professor and the class during class time. 3. The price is higher than our kid's current BJJ gym. Additionally, we're obligated to buy their uniforms, which are quite pricey. They also charge $100 for promotions. At our current BJJ gym, we're not required to buy their uniforms and only pay a monthly fee.

If you want to add stress to your life when all you're trying to do is find a little peace, this is…read morethe yoga studio for you. I joined this studio because yoga was helping me get through an incredibly painful time in my life. My ex-boyfriend had just taken his own life, and attending regular classes was one of the few things bringing me comfort. I wasn't looking for drama, arguments, or unnecessary stress. I just wanted to practice yoga and have a little peace. Unfortunately, that's not what happened. After purchasing the new-client unlimited-class special, I was told the Full Moon Reset class would cost just $25 for members. I signed up, only to be charged $35. When I questioned the discrepancy, I was told the member price was $35. Yet when I asked other members, they told me they had paid $25. So why was I being charged more? Iris then told me I could receive $10 off my next month's membership if I purchased it before my current membership expired. Great! I was ready to pay and went to the studio in person, only to find Iris wasn't there. I tried again another day. Still no Iris. The teacher, Anna, was there but couldn't help me. Then Iris started texting me, seemingly forgetting our previous conversations entirely and asking if I was interested in a membership. We had ALREADY discussed the membership and the discounted rate. I came into the studio twice to take care of this, but couldn't get anyone to help me. Then the owner Yarisa, started calling and texting me from the same number. I was out to dinner, so she told me to call back when I was finished. No problem. I planned to do exactly that. But while I was literally sitting there trying to enjoy my dinner, I suddenly received a charge for the FULL membership price, followed by another text from that same number... this time from someone named Jody. Who is Jody? I have no idea. I've never interacted with her. Why was she suddenly involved in the conversation, and why was she charging me a price I had never agreed to, while I was waiting to call the owner back as instructed? And now, apparently, the full price I was charged is actually $20 off? WHAT?! How many different prices are there? How many employees do I need to speak to before someone can give me a straight answer? The complete lack of communication is unbelievable. Nobody seems to know what anyone else has discussed, the prices keep changing depending on whom you speak to, and charges are being processed before conversations are even finished. What makes this especially upsetting is the timing. I was already dealing with a devastating personal loss. Yoga was supposed to be a place where I could breathe, clear my head, and find some comfort. Instead, I found myself dealing with confusing pricing, repeated trips to the studio, contradictory messages, and an unexpected membership charge. I understand that businesses make mistakes. But when multiple employees give conflicting information, promises aren't followed through on, and money is charged without a clear agreement, it stops feeling like a simple mistake and starts raising serious questions about how the business is being run. The pricing discrepancies also raise concerns about whether customers are being given consistent and transparent information before they pay. I DIDN'T JOIN A YOGA STUDIO TO SPEND MY TIME CHASING EMPLOYEES, DISPUTING CHARGES, AND TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT I'M ACTUALLY SUPPOSED TO PAY. I JOINED BECAUSE I NEEDED PEACE. It's heartbreaking that something that was genuinely helping me through one of the hardest experiences of my life has become another source of stress. I just wanted to go to yoga. That's it. And somehow, even that became unnecessarily difficult. Do better.

The location is right off the street so it's really easy to park near the parking garage and walk around to the front. When I walked in I noticed a clean lobby area with merchandise to sell. It was clean and tidy and well lit. I always love to walk into a clean lobby area especially before a fitness class. I met the person at the desk who happened to be the teacher and she had me fill out a waiver since it was my first time and she also introduced me to the studio space. She explained a little about what the various supplies were for and where the bathroom was. Now, there were only 4 other students in the class which was so great to get that personalized experience and she was a great yoga instructor. The only reason im giving it 4 stars is because when I saw "hot yoga" I thought I would be dripping with sweat. Instead, there were three space heaters along the wall that really didn't translate to hot yoga at all. But I want to give credit to the teacher who was a great instructor and I would be more than willing to come do their barre classes or other courses available! I would recommend for sure! But if you're looking for that sweaty hot yoga session, this wouldn't be the place.

The class started with a 10 minute warm up followed by 3 15-minute "blocks" of activities that focused on arms, legs, and core strength. We then finished with some light stretching and yoga poses. I was expecting more exercises using the bar given the studio name, but we only used it for the 15 minutes working on the thigh exercises. As a first time visitor with no experience in ballet, I was still able to keep up and perform the exercises. I especially appreciated how Elizabeth gave many tips on good form and which muscles to focus on, but I would've liked if she had provided modified versions of the activities (she only offered more difficult variations). Overall, the class had very balanced, holistic exercises that would be great for runners, climbers, and anyone looking for hip-opening exercises or ways to develop more well-rounded strength. Membership is $139/month ($125/month for students), and after the free first class, there is also a $49 2-week trial option. Those options include unlimited classes, but you can also get 6-class and 8-class packs for about $100-125.

My oldest has been enjoying coming to class and being around kids his own age. He told me today that watching sparing is one of his favorite things so far. My only critique would be to see a bit more split for the smaller kids to the big kids early on. With the ability to catch on faster, the older kids (pre teens and up) would benefit from being split into a group by themselves so that they can be taught and move a bit faster. On occasion, the younger kids both have trouble following through with their skills, and it causes class to move slower for the older students. I look forward to seeing my almost teenager continue to grow and progress with this program.
