I really enjoy the instructional format they follow. It allows rapid absorption of technique with good levels of retention. The techniques shown are solid and show the evolution from traditional to modern application. Although this is not a traditional martial arts school, the tenants of honor, respect, and brotherhood have been well preserved. They have cardio and weight equipment and a boxing ring as well. There is a personal trainer named Brandon on site who is knowledgeable in nutrition, fitness training, and supplementation. As this is a complete gym it could replace your gym membership. My boys really enjoy the children's classes and they have learned more than just martial arts. I have referred several family friends and they have enjoyed the experience as well. The school is affiliated with Fight Sports in Miami. While on vacation, I had the opportunity to drop in and train with them. The culture was very positive with hand shakes, smiles, helpfulness and respect. They're fine with visitors being in colored Gi. Kids class was perfect for my kids, well stocked with white and grey belts and plenty of attentive coaches. Adult class was conveniently right after and I was well looked after both of our visits. Fabio is very patient with the kids and explains each move very carefully and takes time with each child who is having difficulty with a new move. both Fabio and Roberta will "grapple" with the kids to help them gain better knowledge of the diffrent positions. I love the fact that Fabio is the soft spoken teacher and Roberta is the "drill sgt". They both love and encourage the kids, are quick to be there when one of the kids might be hurt and they are always there for a word of encouragement or a big hug whenever a kid wants one.
