I really like this PetSmart! It doesn't hurt that it is the closest to me in the Posner Park area. But that isn't why I love this place. They have a huge selection of what I need, which is cat accessories and food. I've always had wonderful experiences here. I've never left here empty-handed. My son comes here to get his hamster supplies. He finds everything he needs as well. It's so hard to not stop by on Saturdays and see the kitties for adoption! I already have four so I need to stop. This is the worst PetSmart I have ever been to. Don't even bother placing an online order because they will make you stand in the regular super long customer line because they only put one person on the register at a time. Your online order is going to have torn up packages and used products in it. The store is fine. I have an issue with the grooming salon. We had an appointment at 12:30. My husband arrived at 12:25. He was told it was going to be about 3 hours before she would be done because there was another dog before us that had not been taken back. Now my dog is sitting in the back room of the groomers for 3 hours. What is the point of making an appointment if they are not going to honor it. There was no explanation as to why the dog before us was put into our appointment time. I don't understand why there was not a phone call letting us know they were running late. If I was there I would have taken my dog and left. I will never use this grooming service again. Very disappointed that they don't have basic customer service skills. read more

Signed up for a 6- week puppy training class. The last week is when your dog is expected to preform everything he's "learned" so he can graduate. We arrive at Week 6... nobody's there. I talk to the cashiers who tell me my puppy trainer was out on vacation all week, (VACATION????) but she's contacted everyone in the class. Hmmmm... there are FOUR of us in this class and no one contacted ME! But I'm assured she will be back and is going to make up the class "next week". Next week comes and I CALL THE STORE, where I am assured our teacher is back and that there will be class that night. When we get there... NO ONE IS THERE... AGAIN! I'm now told she will be making up the class that following week. But again, no phone call, no text... I'm done. I have never seen a more inept store in my LIFE. Do NOT waste your time. Dog Grooming- By Gabbi The groomer, Gabbi was amazing. She listened to how I wanted my Goldendoodle cut and the final product was exactly what I expected. My doodle Murphy had a few spots of matting and I asked Gabbi to cut them out but leave the rest so she still looked cute. I think it was a huge success and I highly recommend her for grooming. I'm all about being efficient, but when both your website AND your app will not let you book an appointment for a nail trim, and every other PetSmart you've gone to has told you the same thing (walk-ins welcome for Nail Trims), why on earth would a person think to make an appointment for a Nail Trim? Especially because, again, you can't do it online OR on the app? This PetSmart is the closest, yet still a good 20 minute drive from my house. Drive over, take my dog back and ask for a nail trim. Now, they had 3 dogs being groomed, and one employee who waltzed in behind me to check us in. She then proceeds to tell me that "This Stores Policy" is different from the website or the app. When I questioned her, she just says "Oh. No. You can't make this appointment online. You have to call." So here is my beef. If your website and your app do not state this, how are first timers to know you've got a different policy? They can't. I have been shopping at Petsmart forever and have always price matched from the Chewy app. It's one of my favorite things about shopping there, because if not, I would just order straight from Chewie. However, today the cashier let me know that Petsmart does not except a price match, and even though I tried to tell her that not only does Petsmart price match to chewy, but they also price match to Amazon and all other retailers per the Petsmart website, she refused to honor the policy. it's really unfortunate because this petsmart is the closest pet store to me. However, I really dislike when employees treat me wrong for no reason. I went to cash out and the employee (who I've never seen before and I come here often) just told me to bring my cart to the little opening so he can just scan from my cart. Okay, thanks. I appreciate it. He was like do you have an account with us? Me: yes. Him "put your number in". Again, coming off a bit strong. Then I told him something I got was cheaper online. I just said "uhm okay" and he proceeded to run his mouth about how employees don't stick up for themselves and tell the customer no and if they continued doing it, the store would no longer be there (implying the store would shut down over price matching). He said they haven't price matched in a long time. I said "really, because I just bought some like last month." But he tried to justify it and say it would do it this time. He wouldn't do it again. And that he would remember not to do it again next time. By this time, since he was already coming off very strong and rude for no reason, that's when I became defensive and told him that his logic about standing up to the customer doesn't make sense. Came in for more dog food and witnessed a dog have an accident and the owner left the store expecting employees to pick up the mess--causing a delay at the checkout. Employees apologized for the wait and mentioned being overwhelmed with multiple "accidents" that day. The store was barely stocked, with multiple shelves completely empty. This was also partly due to the fact that staff was busy cleaning up accidents. In my opinion, this is not a reflection of staff; but a reflection of its customers. This last visit this morning I think will be our last, apart from using the Vet. We came in this morning at 8:30 am to drop off our pet at the vet, and saw this puddle of pee when we got there. Before we left someone put the sign there. We came back to pick up our pet from the vet, after 10:30 am and the pee was still there, which is when we took this pic. This is not the first time I've come in here and there's pee everywhere first thing in the morning and the workers including the Managers, are always just chatting away in the aisles like it's social time. The store constantly smells of urine. If the owner doesn't clean the mess, then the workers should right away. And funny enough there was a clean up station three feet from the mess! Had an appointment and never been here before. I guess they schedule a bunch of dogs for the same time and sit them in back till they're ready for the next dog. Staff was extremely rude with me saying I cut in front of the line of people that I watched arrive after I did. I checked in at 12:15 for a 12:30 appointment and they told me to wait outside until my groomer got there. So we sat down and when I walked back in all they could do is repeatedly accused me of cutting in front of all the people that arrived 10 and 15 minutes after I did. I have been going to PetSmart for over 20yrs for my pets needs. I placed an online order for pickup. Received the email that it was ready and arrived about 2hrs later. Upon arrival I picked curbside pickup. After waiting for over 20min went in the store. The associate I asked about it told me to go back out to my car. When I asked if I could just get it since I was in the store he told me to go find it on the shelf and get in line like everyone else. PET OWNER TO PET OWNERS We took our yorkie puppy Luna to this PetSmart for a Face and Fanny grooming a few days ago. She was very cheerful starting her day up until we left her with the groomers. Less than 30 minutes of her being at this Petsmart, We received a call stating that our puppy has DIED. This is absolutely devastating and the PetSmart is more concerned about saving face and their reputation verse helping us get facts of what happened with their possible poor procedures or staff negligence to know how did our perfectly healthy yorkie puppy die in their care. I have a short haired beagle who does not ever get haircuts yet he has two large cuts on his chin and is bleeding right after getting groomed. How did he get cut?! Donnie is the Best Groomer on the Planet!!!! Here is the love story between my rescue Kayla and Donnie... Donnie was Kayla's first friend when we rescued her.. Kayla had a skin rash and looked horrible...she was afraid of everything. I brought her to another store years ago and was lucky to get this charming young lady named Donnie! She took care of Kayla for years and when I rescued two more dogs she took card of them as well. Then she left and I lost her .. When this store opened Barbie was amazing and took care of my three girls like they were her own.. Then I was moving to Arizona and I went in to say good bye to Barbie.. I had Kayla with me and Kayla pulled and pushed into the center of the grooming salon.. She ran to a young girl who had her back to the front of the salon.. Kayla ran right to her... It was Donnie!!! It had been 3 years and Kayla never forgot.. Donnie had just been hired by this store and as fate would have it I was moving to Arizona! Well three years passed and we are back in Orlando and I called and Donnie is still here.. I came back in May and brought Kayla, Savannah and Sydney to Donnie... Best groomer on the planet! She truly loves my girls but I think she loves all her furry clients! She is amazing!!! Sunday, September 20 at 6:58, I walked in to Petsmart, doors were open, the store closes at 7. I immediately got greeted with the cashier "were closed". I asked if I could just grab one bag of dog food "no we're closed, you can come back tomorrow during normal business hours" was the cashiers response. There were still a couple customers in the store. She was very rude and inconsiderate. I am a nurse and I work 12 hour days. I also live 30 miles from work. I always try my best to make it to PetSmart before closing, this day however it was difficult. This cashier should've been a little bit more considerate to customer service than wanting to go home. Took my dog there to be groomed twice. My dog developed ringworm after the first visit. I had to visit the vet for meds to clear it up. I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt and took him there again to be groomed three months later. A week and a half later I am dealing with a nasty flea allergy and he is on meds once again. No coincidence any more. They do a decent job with the hair cut, but I would recommend avoiding this place. No pet should have to go through being sick just to have their hair cut. read more

Bebe has had training in the past, but never did I have a better trainer than Jennifer! I felt she really knew her stuff and was a true professional! In four short lessons made a definite change in my socially challenged pooch! She gave me very good, common sense tips that were very doable and produced quick results!! I called and asked about nail trimming service, was told they are taking walk-ins before I even asked anything. I then asked how much it was for a nail service. They told me, I said should I make an appointment she said no just come right in we are taking walk-ins. I get there, wait 15 minutes because one person at a time. Finally I get my turn only to be told that they don't take walk-ins and told me the person was on lunch they would take me if I waited 10 minutes. Okay fine. I waited 15 go back in lady says no we are haven't started our lunches yet. Apparently they don't know where this person is. Then she starts taking my information and asks about the rabies vaccinations. Had someone told me when I called and asked about services that I would need that I would have brought that. I am usually a happy with Petsmart/Banfield customer, but this particular Petsmart in Davenport, FL IS THE WORST I have ever been too. Specifically, the GROOMING staff should be avoided at this location. I took my dog there once and he received a less than average cut compared to what my experience has been at my regular Petsmart in Daly City, CA., and they overcharged for the cut saying my dog is not a miniature. BTW- the vet documentation from the Banfield where he has been a patient since he was puppy, clearly states he is a miniature. So I decided to give them a second chance, and when I arrived just 12 minutes late for my appointment due to intense road construction in the direction of this Petsmart (which they should clearly be aware of), the woman there said my appointment was given away. She said if I had called...Why didn't she call me??? Meanwhile, all of the other groomers who were doing nothing but standing around, scampered to the back while I tried to communicate with the person who said they had called a "snowbird" who was on their waitlist. This grooming staff here has POOR Customer Service and not the kind of people I will ever let touch my pet again. I must say, the retail manager in front of this Petsmart seems good, but the GROOMERS ARE THE WORST! Went to the store to find beds. Looked all over the store for an associate to just be told it will be in the bed section after search. In final attempt to find the item, I kindly asked the cashier for assistance to only be told it's if it's not in the section we don't have it. I have been brining my dog to the PetSmart franchise for YEARS for grooming, vet, and training classes and this was not the best experience I've had. I understand that with the pandemic so many people are needing their dogs groomed after they opened back up. I went online a few days ago to see if they had any availability for today and they didn't. So I figured there was no harm in driving down to see if they might have a walk in available for just a bath. As soon as I went into the grooming salon I asked the lady up front if there was any possibility for a walk in today. She didn't answer me because the phone rang (understandable) and a lady in the back already grooming a dog said very bluntly and quite frankly rude "nope." Despite the rude response I asked then asked if she knew any other openings available and she just ignored me. Another lady in the back said "I think their might be one on Friday" and the lady who said "nope" to me responded to her saying "no. We don't have that." And then kept working on the dog she was already grooming. So I stood there for a minute waiting for someone to maybe check the system to see if they're books might have something but they didn't even pay any attention to me after that so I just left. I've never had that experience before. I understand they're stressed by the amount of dogs they have but a simple "no, I'm sorry, we're all booked but maybe try going online to see if we have anything available next week..." would've been better than a rude "nope". I wish I would've gotten her name so I knew who I would never book for my dog. I will not be returning to this Petsmart due to the lack of communication and knowledge shown by some of their workers. Specifically the Vet Tech named "Keishla/Kiki". She was very poorly spoken and came off as uneducated, when asking questions about my pets she used terms such as "I don't know" and "I think so". I then asked to speak to someone who knows, this worker answered my first question about my cat then when I proceeded to ask the next question she cut me off saying "Okay bye see you soon" and hung up before I could ask my next question. The Veterinarian "Dr. De La Osa" asked me, "Are you sure your cat was spayed her belly looks weird" "It didn't look like that last time I saw her." My cats belly did look like that because the Vet had just seen her LAST WEEK. This Vet also proceeded to use terminology such as "Thats just so weird", "I'm not sure" when referring to my cats belly. I asked her if we could check to be sure she is not pregnant, she stated "I did check and I felt nothing but it's so weird." These workers spoke to me very unprofessionally, made me feel unsure of my cats health, and uncomfortable with their care. I will not be returning to this Petsmart and neither should you. read more

We brought our puppy here to be deshedded. When I dropped her off, I ensured she was receiving this service. The groomer asked if I wanted to grind her nails down so I said sure and asked if she could clean up her paw pads as well. After being told this would take an hour (mind you my dog is less than 10lbs), I came to pick her up and she was not ready. I was informed that a walk in had come and apparently that takes precedent over an appointment so don't even bother making one. When she was finally ready, she was still wet and shaking and she is usually so happy when leaving the groomer. Looking at the bill I realized all she had gotten was a bath... they offered to redo the service with the deshedding this time and said it would take another hour even though washing her apparently took 15 minutes. Just don't take your dog to get groomed here, clearly no respect from the groomers for customers or your pets.
