The people there love pets as much as we do, so we can be assured that our baby will be well cared for. He gets really excited when we arrive and doesn't even give us a backwards glance as he drags the staff toward the play area. He doesn't really seem to be ready to leave when we come to pick him up, either. They will also bathe your dog if you wish. We used to take our dog with us when we traveled, but he loves Animal Playground so much, we figure he deserves a vacation of his own!

We have been taking our two dogs, Jamal and Trooper, to Bark and Play for a little over 2 years…read morenow. Initially, we were utilizing day care nearly everyday because of me and my wife's working situation. More and more now we have been utilizing Bark and Play for boarding. The experience has been top notch. Sometimes it feel as though the boys enjoy Bark and Play more than home. Ann and her staff have become family to us. They have cared for our boys and been there for them when they have required more needs. I recommend Bark and Play to everyone. We have boarded our dog's for the last 11 years and this, by far, has been the best experience. Bark and Play has come through for us and taking our boys to our Vet when we have been out of the country. They did not have to do this, but they went above and beyond when they did not have to. We owe them so much for this above and beyond care. They have helped to feed our boys and administer medications for us. I can not say enough amazing things about Bark and Play. I told them the symptoms sounded like diabetes. they ended up sending me to Ames veterinary school. they told me in 10 minutes she had diabetes. Another time a family came in with a dog giving birth and the last one was stuck. They wouldnt help the dog with out a $1200 payout. I could see the people crying because they didn't have money. I ended up paying $1,000 for them to get the dog taken care of. WAY too expensive here!

They had her all day, I picked her up at 4:30, she looked and smelled great! I did ask for pink ribbons in her hair, and she had a blue ribbon on her collar, although when I mentioned it, they did offer to change the ribbon, but she was just to excited seeing me, I didn't want to keep her any longer. I wish you would get a little time with the person working on your dog, I think getting to know the animal a little before working on them would be beneficial for everyone. It's like dropping your kid off on the first day of school. All in all, I am happy with the work they did, I just have no idea if they had any issues, or how she did, because there was no one that seemed interested in answering my questions, they just said :she did fine" while not stopping doing what they were doing to make you feel like they cared.

This last time I explained that it took several months for his fur to grow back, so please do not cut him short. I requested to clean around his eyes, paw pads and a very light trim. I specifically said that I did not want a short choppy cut like the last time. When I picked him up is cut was short and choppy again. If this was the first time I would understand, but this has been my experience every appointments. It seems they don't listen or don't care. I would not recommend this place to anyone. A very expensive cut, but poor results! They even have the nerve to want a tip. I knew something was wrong when I dropped him off at 10:00am and they didn't call for pickup until after 4:00pm, he was the very last dog. They waited until closing because they knew I would not be happy. Again, I would not recommend this groomer!​
