We just recently had our 4th grooming session. When I went to pick up our dog, I was told the fee was increased to $65. I wasn't told this before the grooming session but after which I didn't think was right. When I asked why, the groomer told me my dog was not a mini goldendoodle but a standard size poodle. No way he isn't close to a standard size poodle. Was also told that the last time or two he was hard to groom around his head areas but he wouldn't hold still. We will NOT be going back there. If should have been told of the increase and why before the grooming session. The groomers reason for not telling us before was and I quote- "you probably would have walked out if I told you before" Very very unprofessional in my opinion.

However, I'm highly reticent to visit Teske's or to recommend them to anyone on the basis that they sell puppies, kittens, bunnies, birds, and reptiles from breeders rather than supporting local rescue organizations. The pet overpopulation problem in our country is real, and I have a difficult time patronizing any business that supports its perpetuation.

Outside, there were people walking dogs, playing with dogs, and I could see dogs going in and out of their kennels. Each kennel has a a climate controlled indoor space, and a door to the outside, which the dogs can use whenever they choose. I was very encouraged as this was my first time using this kennel. The staff was friendly, and my dog was eager to enter. The price was reasonable compared to other kennels in the area. I paid extra for one walk per day for the dog. They require you to bring your own food and any treats. They encourage you to bring any of your dog toys so that they feel comfortable while they're there. They provide a good bed. When I left, I felt secure in that he would be well cared for while I was gone for a week. When we picked him up, they reported on his stay and how he did, including how he ate and drank while he was there. I appreciate that. In the past, at other places, I have never heard a thing about how he did during his stay. I would definitely recommend this kennel.
