I drove 45 minutes…read morewith the belief the dessert shop was open, to discover the scoop shop was the only one open. Between the dessert cafe menu being available and the shops being side by side and the website not being so discerning this is honestly the second time I've tried to go to the dessert shop and it being closed. To my dismay not only that but the lady scooping wasn't the friendliest person either since we drove out of the way we got some ice cream. We sampled a few. I got the goatcheese blackberry chamboard and it was tasty. As was the Cuban coffee, but YIKES. 2 small scoops was $17! I have no issue paying for ice cream, but for a small being $8 and change, that is nutty even for me. And it was truly a small scoop- not like other New England scoop shops when a "small" is the size of a tennis ball. This was a true small. Imma pass

Our server was very friendly and was happy to answer any questions we had as well as let us sample flavors. I got a small cup with a scoop of Maine Whoopie Pie and a scoop of Speculoos & Chocolate. The pretzel one had a caramel taste which I liked, and the whoopie pie was a vanilla base with chocolate cake--both were super tasty and creamy. I do wish it was a little bigger for the price but it was so good nonetheless. They have seating outdoors and it was a cool day out so we enjoyed our treats outside right by the boats. They also have a dessert bar next door serving desserts with alcohol, she said it'll be opening in a few weeks. Cool idea!

The ice cream was rich and flavorful and not very hard on the pocket as well. We loved the amazing flavors which were freshly made. Its a small place where you order at the window and they serve you at the next one. I am not sure if they have seating as well. There are some outdoor benches though. There was a queue when we reached here and rightly so. The blueberry pie seems to be the favorite among the locals and it tasted great. The portion was huge, we all ordered two scoops and realized it was too much to finish The only reason I am giving a 4 star was because my wife had ordered chocolate peanut butter flavor and was served chocolate chip and when we asked the servers they were rude about it and blamed it on us. Also, the servers did not have any idea if these ice creams had eggs in them. Overall definitely a must-try for the creaminess and fresh flavors but keep a good eye on what you order or else you might be served something different and you will be held responsible for it

When you arrive, you can park in front of the teal buildings or drive up further to the parking in front of the walk-up window that's a bit further back. I arrived around 10:30 am on a Sunday and they were already sold out of the most popular flavors. There are a few patio tables to enjoy your donuts and coffee or you can take them to go. Looking for an instagrammable moment? There are two sets of wings at different heights and sizes where you can pose for a photo. I find the potato donuts pretty filling, so I typically only get one for myself or pick up an assortment if I'm getting them for others. There are vegan options available too.

I had never tried a potato donut before, so I was curious to see what it was like. Unfortunately, this ended up being the second worst donut I have ever had, and I've tried a lot of different donut shops. The lady at the shop was very kind and explained which donuts were which. I decided to try the most popular options: the Sea Salt and Blueberry Lemon donuts. Sadly, the Sea Salt donut was terrible! The Blueberry Lemon one wasn't as bad, but both ended up in the garbage. My stepmom is usually against throwing away food and doesn't have much of a sense of smell, so she doesn't find many things inedible. However, even she ended up throwing her donut away, which says a lot. I would not recommend these donuts.
