I came here primarily because a short time earlier, I ate at "The Crab Shack" around the block and over a small bridge in Kennebunk. They provided me with a "buy one single scoop cone, get one free". So being the frugal foodie I am, decided to capitalize on the 2 for 1 deal. Not sure if it's worth paying full price for.....but the "deal" certainly made it palatable. Everything in the area is overpriced because it's an extremely touristy area that relies heavily on summer business. But the young gentleman behind the counter was very pleasant and a hard worker, so I recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area and in mood for some ice cream.

They have a bunch of interesting flavors that you WILL NOT see anywhere else, such as maple fig jalapeño or banana with hot Cheetos. Granted I did not try any of these "interesting flavors," but I am very glad it is not all they have. For the little space there is inside, the lines flow easily and you get your ice cream very quickly. The servers know what is in every flavor, and do not mind giving out samples! Sampling is not encouraged due to some folks taking advantage last season, but if you ask, they'll probably let you. Tart? No. Sweet? Yes. I liked all the flavors I tasted, but the fudge brownie was too liquidy - forgot to tell him so he could fix it, oops! If I remember correctly, the per ounce price here is 49 cents, but my nice little cupful cost me $3.78 due to the addition of tax. I also remember seeing some sign mentioning low-fat, but I don't know if it was for all their flavors or just certain ones. You should note that they serve Gifford's ice cream, which is local to Maine. The staff was friendly and the service was very quick. Not too sweet, wide variety of flavors, photogenic as heck, and almost reminded me of hostess powdered donuts with their texture and flavor. I didn't want to eat them for the rest of the day because I needed "the perfect photo" but eventually the donuts won and I ate them quickly. I ordered two and, while my partner in crime absolutely LOVED his, I wasn't really a fan. The sandwich comes on a baguette and is filled with a slab of coconut curry marinated tofu, pickled veg (like carrots and radishes), spicy vegan mayo, and cilantro. Unfortunately, my bread was pretty burned - as such, that black toast char was the dominating flavor (and smell). It was also the dominating ingredient as the slab of tofu was much smaller than I was expecting. In the end, I tossed the bread and ate just the tofu and veggies (which, again, I wish there had been more of, and much less of the stems of cilantro). Loved the variety of spices that came from the individual components of the jalapenos, the curry, and the spread though! While I was disappointed in the sandwich I got (especially at $11 when compared to sandwiches of similar prices from other food trucks), I still think they're great. The person taking my order was super friendly, the person making the food was engaging, and their passion to use as much fresh, local ingredients as possible is impressive and appreciated. Also the presentation of their food is stunning, and proves that restaurant quality food can come out of a mobile kitchen. While they might not be my first choice, I definitely appreciate what they're creating and the flavor profiles they're exploring!
