I enjoyed being a goddess for an entire three day weekend! I have also attended every type of special event or workshop held at Bear Foot Yoga Healing, including crystal bowl sound meditation, goat yoga, live music, and chakra restorative meditation. In addition, I've partaken of both Megan's Ayurvedic marma touch therapy and her energy healing treatment. I've gone to every style of yoga class offered; Megan is the absolute BEST teacher. The only service I've not yet used is her healing touch for animals, but if the need arises with any of my pets, I'm there for sure. I cannot recommend Bear Foot Yoga Healing and Megan MacCarthy highly enough!

This was my second time coming here, and it is just an amazing space. Both times were to attend a…read moresound bath with meditation, and they were truly wonderful experiences and very different each time. I recently attended the winter solstice sound bath, and going into it this time, I knew what to expect. That being said, I dressed a bit warmer and extra comfy and brought additional blankets because I personally become very cold during the sound bath, especially at certain times when the sound vibrates through my body. It feels like actual icicles moving through me. I'm not normally a cold person, so it's definitely part of the experience for sure. I also love the guided meditation aspect of it. I don't think I would want to attend one without it, because it's such a nice added feature. I love that after the session, cards are given out and there's time to reflect on them. It also opens up space for any questions you might have about the experience that day, or more generally about the instruments, sound baths, or the other classes and services they offer. I'm not going to lie--the first time I did a sound bath, I actually got motion sick during it. However, the second time I didn't, which just goes to show that each experience is different for me. I feel extremely well-rested afterward, energized yet deeply relaxed. My night's sleep after is amazing--absolutely amazing--and I feel kind of reset for the week in a way that's just different. I definitely need to do these more frequently. I'm thinking maybe attending all the solstice ones would be a good way to keep things going. I went with a friend, and it was her first time as well. She also had a really great experience--similar, yet different. They also have an entire storefront. I didn't have time to go through it, but from what I glanced at while making my way into the room, they have some really cute and adorable items. I know they sell the essential oils used during class, including some of their own blends. The blend used was really nice, and I could definitely see myself going back to get one of their custom blends. Overall, this place is definitely worth it, and you should check them out if you haven't already!

They offer so many classes,…read morereiki, sound baths, classes to learn how to make fans, how to use the crystals in their shops and everyone is beyond friendly and I felt so comfortable there for my first community reiki. After attending a few community reiki and reiki+ gong baths I decided to take the classes offered to learn how to be a reiki practitioner. Laurie and Djuro (owners) are so welcoming and willing to help in any way that they can. Also, they have 2 locations in the market on opposite sides of the shopping area, so make sure to check out both locations. One is mostly crystals/classroom space. The other is jewelry, apothecary and musical instruments.

There are only two great dinner restaurants on the property and they ARE BOOKED weeks in advance. The Christmas decorations were nothing short of amazing. Literally Christmas EVERYWHERE. and the kids could climb on anything. They do a cute little Santa letter pick up by the elves every day at 4pm and my daughter loved this. Our suite was nice. Comfy bed. Updated. Highly recommend upgrading to a suite if you can afford it. Room service was just OK, the first night we called it went to voicemail and they never called back. It was odd. The service was so-so. Front desk staff were great. The brunch spot in the lobby had terrible service... they didn't even think to ask we needed a high chair or chair in general for our little one. Just sat us with no seat for her. The bar in the lobby had one bartender. It took 40+ minutes to get drinks. Overall, I'd come back for the nostalgia of Christmas! But I will be going into town more often for services and food.

I don't even know where to begin! Kelly is amazing…read more I was referred to her for energy healing/acupuncture. I am so glad she was the one to introduce me to how amazing acupuncture and energy healing truly is because she really knows her stuff, intuitively and literally. She has so much information and is truly an expert in her field from the logical and literal point to also the spiritually and intuitive point. That's important because for those of you who may be skeptical, she gets it. For those of you who may be left-brain, keep reading! What's so great about Kelly is that she doesn't preach, persuade, or try to "sell" you on any belief system or feeling. She ALLOWS the space to be whatever YOU WANT IT TO BE, through gentle guidance. She is not overwhelming at all (I find that some people who are passionate about this want for their friends or clients to believe so badly it actually does the opposite.) I have been a client of hers for a year, but I also recently did a full weekend workshop where Kelly lead us in understanding meditation, energy healing, and the Mahatma and Shamballah energies (if you're new to this, no worries, I didn't know what they were at first either!). That's also what is amazing--I have learned to apply what i've always internally felt to something more tangible. From books, recommendations, or energy healing, Kelly knows how to guide you. She LISTENS. I wish I could explain everything I've learned and experienced, but I am telling you, when she has tapped into my chakras, certain things happened that left me speechless. Amazing. From akashic readings, acupuncture, to a good positive chit-chat, Kelly is the best. -TR

I have found her healings and meditations very powerful and deeply transformative. I'd had some powerful in person Reiki sessions before, but not remote healings. Working with her in that initial remote session, she was so warm and high vibrational, and I could feel she was really tuned in to me. We talked about things going on in my life and anything I wanted her to focus on. After the healing, I felt so much release, and some very important things shifted. She identified my own developed natural healing gifts in my hands, and she encouraged me to work with that. I'd had Reiki treatments before, and had already been considering getting Reiki attunement, but I found the New Paradigm MDT work I got with Kelly was so pure and powerful I really felt even more drawn to that modality than to the Reiki. I participated in Kelly's New Paradigm MDT workshop/attunement some months later. It has been truly life changing, and I am now doing healing for myself and for others, as well as animals. Kelly is a wonderful teacher as well as healer. Working with her in person and getting a chance to spend some quality time with her, I found her to be a very high vibrational person, and as kind and sincere in person as in her practice. Kelly is an earth angel who is truly on this earth to heal and empower others. She is the real deal, very gifted, and I recommend her very highly to anyone looking for energy healing or interested in developing their own healing gifts.

Ariana was our friendly, attendant who guided us to the locker room equipped with a whirlpool, steam room, sauna, and experience showers. She got us acquainted with the locks on the lockers and provided us with slippers and robes. Towels were abundant and soft. We arrived an hour before our facials and enjoyed each of the areas feeling our stress diminish. We arrived later on a Saturday afternoon, so the areas weren't so crowded. Our aestheticians were Gail and Samantha and I can't tell you how kind and knowledgeable they were. Gail has been there for over 20 years which says something about the culture of the spa. At most spas, a facial includes a period when the serums have to rest on the skin. At those times, most aestheticians leave the room but here we were treated to a shoulder massage and arm treatment (depending on the facial you book). The whole experience was worth every penny. Book early and get ready for a relaxing time.

Although I did not have a negative experience, it just wasn't worth the time or money. The actual service was in no way worth the cost. Everything about the resort is overpriced, but I was hopeful the treatment would be worth the expense. It wasn't. I much prefer Kohler for a staycation / wellness trip.
