I hate going to the dentist like ALL of us do, but Dr. Dornblazer and her staff are awesome!!!…read moreGreat personalities, make you feel right at home and the experience is traumatic free!! :)

I have been putting off writing this for quite some time because I genuinely enjoy the care I…read morereceive from the hygienists and the dentist. They are the reason I have continued coming to this practice. I also understand that this office chooses to remain out-of-network with Delta Dental. That means I pay approximately $120 out of pocket for my routine cleanings, receive reimbursement directly from Delta, and then personally bring the insurance check back to the office. While this process is certainly less convenient than visiting an in-network provider where I wouldn't have to pay upfront, it has been my choice to continue my care here because I value the clinical team. Unfortunately, my experiences with the front office staff have become increasingly frustrating and have made me question whether I should continue as a patient. Over the years, my employer has gone through several mergers and acquisitions, which has resulted in my dental insurance changing multiple times. During one visit, the insurance coordinator asked me in front of other patients in the waiting room, "Your coverage is changing again?" That felt unnecessary and embarrassing. Insurance changes are often outside a patient's control, and verifying coverage is part of the administrative process. Another recurring issue is that I am repeatedly reminded--often multiple times during a single visit or phone call--that I need to bring in my Delta reimbursement check and pay my balance. I have been a patient for years and have always paid my bill. I routinely drive 30 minutes to deliver the insurance check once I receive it. Being reminded over and over, often within earshot of other patients, makes me feel as though I am not trusted, despite my consistent payment history. I have also found that whenever I question or seek clarification about insurance information, the front office staff immediately become defensive. Rather than working collaboratively to resolve the issue, I am often reminded of their job title or told they are correct. At this point, the interactions feel dismissive and, frankly, targeted. Whenever I need treatment beyond a routine cleaning, it becomes an exhausting back-and-forth between the office and Delta Dental. Delta tells me the office has submitted something incorrectly, while the office tells me Delta is wrong. As the patient, I am left in the middle trying to sort out issues that should ideally be resolved between the provider and the insurance company. Even something as simple as calling to schedule an appointment results in being reminded two or three times that I will need to pay. Again, I have been a loyal patient for years and have never failed to meet my financial responsibility. These repeated reminders have become unnecessary and make me feel like I am being treated differently than other patients. I wanted to share this feedback because I truly appreciate the excellent care I receive from the hygienists and the dentist. My concern is not with the quality of dental care--it is with how I have repeatedly been treated by the front office. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I believe every patient deserves to be treated with professionalism, respect, and discretion. I have made the decision to transfer my care back to Chapel Hill even though it's a significate longer drive.

FYI: My husband is a NEW PATIENT. I am writing to formally express my HUSBANDs dissatisfaction…read morewith the dental care he received at your ASPEN DENTAL, Burlington NC location on 139 Huffman Mill Rd Suite 104. Date of Service on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. I wanted to find a DENTAL PRACTICE that specializes in DENTURE CARE for my husband. During his visit, what happened -- The DENTAL ASSISTANT an UPPER SOFT LINER was placed incorrectly, causing significant discomfort and will require additional treatment from another dental provider. Despite him knowing , he can return for follow-up, he has lost trust to ever go into that environment, because he feels the issue will not get resolved, he feels very uncomfortable to ever go there. This has since incurred additional expenses to have to correct the problem. This experience has caused HIM ongoing pain, to his upper dentures, he did not have prior. The dental assistant did not know what she was doing. When she put in the UPPER SOFT LINER, she did not fully cover his upper dentures with the liner, there are gaps in it, he cannot eat comfortable, causing food sticking to the SOFT LINER. He believes the treatment he received did not meet the standard of care he expected from Aspen Dental. A week later the SOFT LINER seems to dissolve and deteriorate in a short amount of time having it. What is worse to add more pain to this horrible ordeal, it is hard to get my husband to go to a DENTIST. I was searching for a local DENTIST, TO PROVIDE QUALITY CARE AND TREATMENTS in DENTURES, that specializes in care for his UPPER DENTURE, near his work place, which would be convenient for him. The very fist visit was on Friday, July 24, 2026, for both of us. The visit was suppose to be a consultation for them to check our mouths with xrays, explain the cost. They are known for a long extensive wait time, knowing we were already scheduled. My husbands appointment was @ 9:30 mine was @ 10.30. We both had to wait a long time before they put us in a room. We did get our Xrays and was left alone after that for a long time. We both let it be known we need to be going, we had other appointments, it took them over 3 hours just to do minimal task. Oh gosh, we trusted them to see my husband after that on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, to place a SOFT LINER IN HIS UPPER DENTURE. He is so disappointed in the bad treatment. I myself, his wife, I immediately cancelled my Scaling Cleaning I set in October 2026 coming. No way do I trust them, after the horrible treatment they did to my Husbands, upper dentures with the soft liner. When my husband let me know how BAD THE UPPER SOFT LINER WAS, I did call them 2-days later on Saturday, July 25, 2026, left multiple messages in their voice mail from 8am to 12pm, it showed on their website they were open. No one answered and they have not returned my call, so that I can let them know, and ask for a REFUND of $156.00. We both do not feel comfortable to ever go there. They have scheduling issues, we arrive on time with alongside long wait times. Hugh Complaint: unresponsive phone lines, unreturned messages. I have also sent them an email about this Issue to customerservice@aspendental.com. Still no one has responded back. It is so SAD AND DISAPPOINTING, giving the TRUST TO ASPEN DENTAL in Burlington NC. Thinking they would provide quality DENTURE CARE to my husband. Based on our research, we have read Complaints regarding deceptive practices, aggressive upselling, and issues surrounding denture care are a widespread concern with corporate dental chains like Aspen Dental.

They charged $1,018.99 in interest to my account but did not let me know when I signed up for the credit. Then my crown replacement was wrong, so I had a gap between my crown and gum, which caused pain. So I had to get the crown redone at a different dental office.
