He really needed a cleaning and the person i talked to on the phone to set up appointment said they accepted medicaid and he went to his appointment and they charged $30 just for them to look at his teeth and talk to him. Then proceeded to tell him it would be 1,400$ just for cleaning even though i was told they accepted his medicaid. Ridiculous he had to miss work just to be talked to and pay $30 for nothing. I had to get a crown replacement and fillings. But at the time, my insurance was not correct, so I used their CareCredit, which is with Synchrony Bank. They charged $1,018.99 in interest to my account but did not let me know when I signed up for the credit. Then my crown replacement was wrong, so I had a gap between my crown and gum, which caused pain. So I had to get the crown redone at a different dental office. read more

FYI: My husband is a NEW PATIENT. I am writing to formally express my HUSBANDs dissatisfaction with the dental care he received at your ASPEN DENTAL, Burlington NC location on 139 Huffman Mill Rd Suite 104. Date of Service on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. I wanted to find a DENTAL PRACTICE that specializes in DENTURE CARE for my husband. During his visit, what happened -- The DENTAL ASSISTANT an UPPER SOFT LINER was placed incorrectly, causing significant discomfort and will require additional treatment from another dental provider. Despite him knowing , he can return for follow-up, he has lost trust to ever go into that environment, because he feels the issue will not get resolved, he feels very uncomfortable to ever go there. This has since incurred additional expenses to have to correct the problem. This experience has caused HIM ongoing pain, to his upper dentures, he did not have prior. The dental assistant did not know what she was doing. When she put in the UPPER SOFT LINER, she did not fully cover his upper dentures with the liner, there are gaps in it, he cannot eat comfortable, causing food sticking to the SOFT LINER. He believes the treatment he received did not meet the standard of care he expected from Aspen Dental. A week later the SOFT LINER seems to dissolve and deteriorate in a short amount of time having it. What is worse to add more pain to this horrible ordeal, it is hard to get my husband to go to a DENTIST. I was searching for a local DENTIST, TO PROVIDE QUALITY CARE AND TREATMENTS in DENTURES, that specializes in care for his UPPER DENTURE, near his work place, which would be convenient for him. The very fist visit was on Friday, July 24, 2026, for both of us. The visit was suppose to be a consultation for them to check our mouths with xrays, explain the cost. They are known for a long extensive wait time, knowing we were already scheduled. My husbands appointment was @ 9:30 mine was @ 10.30. We both had to wait a long time before they put us in a room. We did get our Xrays and was left alone after that for a long time. We both let it be known we need to be going, we had other appointments, it took them over 3 hours just to do minimal task. Oh gosh, we trusted them to see my husband after that on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, to place a SOFT LINER IN HIS UPPER DENTURE. He is so disappointed in the bad treatment. I myself, his wife, I immediately cancelled my Scaling Cleaning I set in October 2026 coming. No way do I trust them, after the horrible treatment they did to my Husbands, upper dentures with the soft liner. When my husband let me know how BAD THE UPPER SOFT LINER WAS, I did call them 2-days later on Saturday, July 25, 2026, left multiple messages in their voice mail from 8am to 12pm, it showed on their website they were open. No one answered and they have not returned my call, so that I can let them know, and ask for a REFUND of $156.00. We both do not feel comfortable to ever go there. They have scheduling issues, we arrive on time with alongside long wait times. Hugh Complaint: unresponsive phone lines, unreturned messages. Based on our research, we have read Complaints regarding deceptive practices, aggressive upselling, and issues surrounding denture care are a widespread concern with corporate dental chains like Aspen Dental. read more

they charge more than they should for a service to be rendered and when you check with your insurance and find out the service was covered, they make up lies and refuse to pay back full amount. The quality of service sucks also. The star rating at this facility is 0. read more

STAY CLEAR FROM ASPEN DENTAL. Read further for my experience with them. I agree with everyone stating this is definitely LESS THAN 1 STAR. Got dentures that did NOT fit went back numerous times for what they say was adjustments and they still don't fit. where the plate should be smooth i feels like sand paper. I have disputed this several times until finally the lady said it's your credit that's being affected not theirs. what am I supposed to do, pay for something that doesn't work. if anyone have a solution please share it with me because I'm at my wits end. I went for dentures, had all my upper pulled and received immediate dentures and they were to big. I went in to get them adjustment and the lady cracked them. I called back in and was told that they couldn't fix them not unless it was completely broken. At this point, I want my permanent dentures so be done with this whole process. Most of the people there are really nice people but when you call the office expect to wait at least 15 mins on the phone before you get any help. read more

I'm very disappointed with this dental office I received dentures that did not fit from the beginning and after several repeated adjustments they still don't fit. now I'm having to pay for teeth that I can't use. after complaining and disputing this, the most they could give me was 1/2 off. I was scammed so I am warning everyone to stay clear and don't use care credit either because they don't help either. They can have the teeth back just give me my credit back and I can try somewhere else. read more

I am not impressed with this office! Today I had an 8:30 am appointment. In fact, at 8:18 am, I received a reminder via text from Aspen for this appointment. I arrived at office 8:25 am, checked in to be informed that I would have to be rescheduled. The receptionist was unapologetic regarding the inconvenience caused and my schedule. In addition, I was informed that office has 1 hygienist and despite the fact that my appointment was cancelled by the office, the receptionist felt justified in expressing to me the next available time this office would reschedule my appointment would be in January 2024. Being informed on finances, insurance and retroactive coverage that would have paid the whole bill. Meanwhile we did dental price comparison and they overcharged us by 7000 and won't take insurance and acted like they did a favor because she through in one more implant for free. We didn't have 13000 laying around. We paid them 7 grand and feel as if we do not owe them anymore whatsoever. They should charge for implant stuff only because that's how it would be if they had taken the insurance. I plan to talk to the owner. They changed office managers whom we discussed insurance, finances etc. And anyhow we don't owe 6 more grand. They tell me I can't see a doctor who takes my insurance for the rest. I guess a 7000 dollar write off would be fair. Let you know soon. Also we did price comparisons across this city and they all said 6400 out of pocket expense only with no insurance. I scheduled an appointment with Aspen Dental after my insurance plan changed and was no longer in network with my previous Dental office. After going in for a consult and given a dental plan, I decided to move forward with the plan even though I thought it was extremely expensive. I had to set up a payment plan and you have to prepaid for each service. Again, I wanted to establish with a new dentist and was ok. The initial cleaning service was fine and the hygienist was very good. The experience changed once I came to the next visit with my Dentist. I was scheduled to have a couple fillings done. I was very anxious as I am always with the Dentist. My appointment was at 7:30, but the dentist did not come in the room until 8:30 with no explanations. Hello and starts talking to the assistant. The experience was so awful, my face and mouth felt swollen for the entire day. You would expect the dentist to walk you through what he was doing- that didn't happen. I was sent a survey asking about my experience, I was very honest about the experience. When I called back for the next appointment to ask if I could get a new Dentist, they refused and said they read my survey and felt like I needed to find a new dentist. So instead of taking the survey as an opportunity to make any changes or improvements, they refused further services. UNBELIEVABLE! I am also contacting the Corporate office because this should be unacceptable for any business. if I could give less than 1 star I would. when I scheduled my first appointment I was very clear I needed a cleaning. then on the call I got my reminder call a couple days prior to appointment the lady was extremely rude and told me no this is just for x-rays. after talking with her she said maybe they could fit it in. on the day of appointment I was told I could not get my teeth cleaned and again the same lady I spoke to on the phone who scheduled my cleaning was extremely rude and talked down to me. I scheduled my cleaning several months out as it was the first Saturday appointment. went to that appointment and was told that they had no dental hygienist and someone was supposed to call me--of course that did not happen. again the same lady spoke down to me. I will never go back. I work in the medical field and would never treat a patient this way. I never received one I am sorry from this place. run from it read more
