First-time customer and definitely won't be returning. The work was extremely sloppy -- my nails are thick, uneven, poorly shaped, and there are even spots missing nail polish. Nail salons have become ridiculously expensive lately, and for the prices being charged, the least customers should expect is quality work and attention to detail. My boyfriend and I came in for a mani/pedi as we recently moved to the area. As a car technician, his nails can get pretty gross but Cat and Cindy scrubbed, trimmed and buffed them to high heaven and they look amazing and shiny now. For myself, I wanted to go with a purple theme and really liked this purple metallic box one of the nail techs had (lol) and Thanh left for a moment and came back with a custom mixed color that matched the box perfectly which was super sweet. He did an amazing job with my feet and toes and put a lot of care into them. Nathan did my nail art and I was BLOWN AWAY. Weirdest nail experience ever. They did my toes then said they didn't look right and needed to do a different polish. Totally different color. I requested bubble bath on my nails and they pulled out yet another color. They kept trying to upsell me constantly . Gel, salts, exc. Took like 20 minutes to check out. I walked into Yi Nails & Spa for a set of acrylic nails...so much summer travel and my nails needed some TLC. Immediately, I was welcomed by the super friendly owner, Twee. I brought an inspiration photo with me and was quickly paired with a nail technician, Nathan. He was kind, gentle and quiet. I relaxed while he worked and noticed a woman in a pedicure chair falling asleep during her service. What a great endorsement of this spa! I was asked repeatedly about my preference as Nathan filed, shaped and painted my nails. It was such a pleasant experience. And my nails looked exactly like the ones in my inspiration photo! I will definitely be back. Special notes: Cash tips are appreciated. Also, there's a loyalty card for customers who pay in cash. Yi is located next to the Publix shopping center (behind Chase Bank). Edit: I have to give this place 4 stars, although initially I didn't like my service, and they reached out to me immediately and got me a new appointment to fix the issues I had. I really appreciate that! Great customer service I was looking forward to treating myself to a pretty SNS manicure but I am disappointed... I picked the prettiest blue color ever but I am very unhappy with how my nails came out. My nails are short which is ok I wanted that, but when the technician applied the SNS he did it way too thick, it looks chunky and gross. He also got it all over my skin in some places and in others he missed large spots near my cuticle. The color is beautiful but if you want a nice SNS manicure this isn't the spot:( I just can't help but feel I wasted my money! This gem is hidden behind the Chase bank, which is right by the community Publix in East Cobb. We had an appointment at another nail salon, but we missed our time, and they started to close, so we went down the road and gave this place a try. We didn't have an appointment, so we had to wait. All we wanted was to remove the previous layer of tips and apply SNS onto the natural nails. We entered at 6:00 pm and left around 7:45 pm, which is understandable. Thuy (aka Tweety Bird), the experienced technician, recommended a tapered square (squoval), which is in between a Coffin nail & a Round nail. She seemed extraordinarily passionate and empathetic towards helping her clients reach their desired style choice! I'll tell my family and loved ones about this place because we had a great time! I had SNS nails removed and reapplied here. I am so happy I tried this salon, as they do not soak your hands in Acetone, as they do at so many places now. It does take longer to remove the manicure, it is so much safer for the skin. I have Eczema in my hands and it always flared up when frequenting the last salon I used for years. My friends and I do a monthly girls day. We booked a reservation for 7 of us for mani pedis for 2:30 after reading amazing reviews. We got there at 2:30, got seated around 3, but no one got started until 3:30. We left at 6:31. It took so long, I didn't even get my manicure because i had to get home. The timing is my first complaint. On our way out, we were told to next time book for before opening or after, but I wish they had told us that WHEN we booked. Also, when we got there, we were told they supposedly tried moving us to 11:30. They said they texted us, but we didn't get it and when they got no text confirmation, why they didn't call us to check?? We had a confirmation text from the system saying 2:30. Second, let's talk about the actual service. They were very nice and friendly, especially to those who seemed to be regulars. But even though we had an appointment, they took walk-ins. They rushed through some of our nails. For example, one of the girls had black specs in her SNS nails. Another friend got SNS and they didn't even bother to take off the old one, just painted over hers. Even more, the manicurist hurt her while doing her nails. When she said "ow" he said "it didn't hurt that bad." Um, WHAT?! I got the highest level of pedicure which costs $70 because I wanted the 15 min hot stone massage with it. They didn't give me that. Instead, 30 min after my pedicure, after realizing I was not waiting for a manicure, I got a quick massage, without hot stones, where they POURED cuticle oil on me. Didn't let me tie my hair so it's all over my hair. They did give us a bottle of cupcake wine, which was a nice touch. They also gave three of us $5-8 off ONLY because we complained about the three experiences above in paragraph two. Again, kind of nice but we still spent at least $700 between all of us, for service that was subpar, over the course of 4 hours, to rush us in the end even though we had a reservation, and ended up with nails we aren't happy all happy with. We won't be returning. If you're going with a group, go before or after hours or don't bother. If you're not a regular, be ready for a less than ideal experience. read more

I went to go get my nails done before a beach trip and my sister said that this place was amazing. The lady who did my nails were very rough when she was buffing my nails and didn't get the length right. She also was very soft spoken but rudely snappy. She also got my pinky nails two very different sizes and thickness. I would possibly go back there if someone else did my nails. read more

I've been going to this salon for a few months now and have overall had a good experience with my technician. The dip sets are done well and my nails are shaped well. Good pedicure massages. My only critique with this salon is that they need to update/add new colors for their SNS collections. I'm used to nail salons bringing in new colors for the season. I have not seen that here. I write this review with mixed emotions. I went in on 8-28-22. I was greeted and felt welcome from the minute I was approached. I went in for a pedicure and gel fill in. I asked for the 2 services to be done separately and was told no problem. *** I also brought my own gel polish with me.*** I chose the classic pedicure and added the milk and honey soak. It was marvelous. I moved over to the fill in and Nathan did a great job. Again I provided the gel polish. It was a good experience. Here's where it went wrong, I went to pay and was charged an extra $18 for gel on my feet and an extra $14 for gel on my hands. I said I provided the polish and I was told that it is a longer service so that is why the extra charge. I said I have been getting my nails done for 20 years and I have NEVE. been charged extra for gel when I have provided it. And this was never told to me in advance. I paid, tipped and left. I payed 40$ for him to burn my nails and not fully even take off my nails, then when I said I just wanted to leave it at that and leave he argued for me to get gel.
