I feel the need to write this review due to some of the awful ones I have read on here. I have been coming to this nail salon for almost a year and the ONLY time I've ever been unhappy is when I didn't communicate with the nail tech when something wasn't exactly how I wanted it. If you are polite and respectful, they will cater to your needs, just like any other establishment. And if you find one or two nail techs who you like, specifically ask for them. Went for a manicure today. Very simple clear polish. The girl started filing my nails and never removed the old nail polish. I had to ask her 3 times. After she cut my cuticles , she proceeded to put nail polish on my fingers. No cream, no hand massage. I once again had to ask her if she was going to put cream. If I can give this place 0 stars, I definitely would! I've been going to this location for more than 3 years. I feel like lately the workers have been VERY lazy. A regular pedicure should not take 10-15 minutes!! It's at max 30+. They rush for the next customer, don't put the effort in and the job looks horrible. Ive given them the benefit of the doubt way too many times especially when I come every 2-3 weeks and spend almost $100 on simple things! I thought I lucked out when I found this place and unfortunately they have proved me wrong. I even tried switching nail techs and the same outcome. I don't know if it's because they're lazy or what, but even management has gone down. All I can say is they're all super rude and LAZY! Do not come here! Very clean place , but they're not consistent when it comes to nail techs . you might get a person who does their job exceptionally well and one that is not good at all . For example , I politely ask for the nail tech to shape my nails squared and round at the edges and she replied, she couldn't, bc they were too short, which by the way they weren't .I ended showing her how to shape them and then she tells me , that I can continue to do it myself . This is one of the many reasons I'm choosing not to come back again .I've been here about 8 times and out of those 8 times I've only been completely satisfied 3 times . I've been going to YH nails for a few months now and today I had the worst experience. I normally use one specific tech but she was away so I got someone new. She was not personable at all. As I was handing out my tips she came back to and tapped me on the shoulder. She told me to make sure I put a tip in the jar for the "free" massage. In my opinion that was extremely rude. I told the girl who works the front desk ( who I thought was the owner) and she laughed and said oh sorry! As I was sitting in my car I called and spoke to them again. This is no way to run a business. A tip is optional not mandatory and asking for one is rude! I proceeded to give them a piece of my mind (nicely). I truly am not sure I will be back!!! Waste of time and money. I have been here several times and always feel like I overpay for the services. My most recent visit was awful. They basically bullied my mom and I into getting more expensive manis and pedis, by pushing the spa salon options even though I tryied to politely decline. Then when we picked our scent of lotion, they changed it and said their choice was better. Then they tried to get me to add a design or glitter nail for extra cost when I said no multiple times. And also pushed me into getting a spa mani which is the same cost of a gel when I said no to a gel. On top of that my mani has chipped on EVERY finger in less than four days. I typically get $25 regular mani/pedis in NYC and they last over 10 days with absolutely no chipping. I refuse to go back here and will stick my original local choice which is Nails Tek. I'd rather pay $45 for a quick and successful mani/pedi then almost $100 and over 2 hours of being stuck in the salon. Awful. read more

Terrible. I had a full set put in a few months ago. One by one they started breaking off (breaking my real nails at the same time) by the 4th day. Today I came in for a pedicure. The guy that did it was too busy watching tv to pay attention to what he was doing. Normally I fall asleep while getting a pedicure. Today I barely felt the massage part. I look down and he was just about falling asleep, head droppedpr staring down at the floor. I asked the girl that runs the front desk if there was any way to tell what I had put on my nails last time I was here. No. Only tells you how much it cost. Totally rude too. I absolutely love YH. They are by far the best nail place in the area at an affordavle price. My nails never chip and their gel selection is very nice. Acrylics are also very affordable and the nail teachs take their time. My only complaint is that it does get a little packed so sometimes they rush. I have been a regular here ever since it first opened. I've gotten amazing gel manicures done by Summer and the best acrylic/ uv gel fills and full sets put on by Mike. I have also gotten the ANC powder done a few time and even then it came out perfect. If you are looking for a specific shape for long or short nails that are acrylic or uv gel and don't know where to go, make an appointment with Mike! He is busy but i promise you will not regret it! He is the only nail tech i have ever been to that will do my nails the way i like them and how i pictured them to be. The staff is respectful and all they're all so sweet! The free 10 minute massages will have you wanting to sit there for 30+ minutes and their pedicures don't take forever like most nails salons do. But when it came time to do my manicure, the woman cut my nails really, really short- to the point where it hurt afterward. I regretted getting a manicure here. I just went to this nail salon for the second time. The first was a sub par pedicure. Fine. This time I went in for a gel manicure. Already having on gel they began to soak my nails. After 15 minutes, and my fingers starting to burn, the technician could not scrap off the polish. She then tried no efforts to file by hand or electrically. She said if I can't soak more she couldn't remove it. I told her again that it burned so she and another technician walked away. I proceeded to hand file my own nails with success as my friend finished her manicure. No one said another word to me the entire time. Completely unprofessional establishment!!! read more

I have gone to this salon for a couple months now and each time i end up waiting 30-45 min when other people who walk in sit before me. When I ask why the nail tech says they are only getting gel manis not fills. I'm assuming only certain people do fills. So I decided to give them one more shot yesterday and that was the last time I'll ever go. Yet again the service was horrible and the nail tech was so annoyed he didn't understand what I wanted and was very rough with me during my fill. I could go on forever about my experience yesterday. They don't really give you what you ask. And it takes a couple of interpreters to figure it out. Whenever I go in for gel nails, they shave so far from the cuticle you're almost forced to go back every week instead of every 2 weeks for a fill in. Something doesn't seem right about that. sent my teenage girls in with $150 to get a basic mani and pedi. when they were done they were told $122 so they gave $130 and were given back $2 then the lady kept asking for tips for the other people which would be fine except they ended up taking everything but the $5 i got back so basically they scammed these poor kids. not only this but their friend went in with them for a basic mani pedi and they charged her $94 basically up sold her without telling her. i would never recommend this place as they just try to scam young ladies read more

I go to YH quite frequently because it's clean and they always have lots of staff on hand. Sometimes they have a wait especially on Saturdays. Most of the staff do meticulous work, but there are a few sort of sloppy and rough techs. I try to avoid them. They just recently updated their menu of services and there's lots of manicure and pedicure options to fit every budget. Large regular and gel polish selection too. Wife had a bad experience with a couple of local nail places. Went on yelp and saw some reviews so figured why not give it a shot. WOW! Super clean! All the instruments they use come out of the packaging in front of you. Even the fish tanks were immaculate. Very friendly staff greets you when you come in and thank you when you depart. We both got the cucumber pedicures and the paraffin glove manicures. I had such a great experience I even bought my wife a message. She stated that it was one of the best french manicures she had. Absolutely horrible. I had a full set of gel powder tips put on as they tried to up sell me, I fell for it and got it. The woman piled and piled up the powder and made them so thick and lumpy. Never really used a drill or a filer to shape them. I probably asked 5 times to reshape them the way I wanted (which I wasn't being picky) they looked like a 5 year old did them. I WISH I kept a picture of them to post. Terribly done. Fast forward: three days later I went somewhere else to get them fixed and shaped and she said it took her 20 minutes just to get rid of all the excess powder the previous woman put on. When I was done there was a mound of dust from all the of ridiculous amount of powder that just came off my nails. The girl said she's never seen such a bad set in her career of doing nails and even had others working come see. I will say the pedicure was good. But it just isn't worth going there at all. I don't believe that they have proper training nor an actual license. I wish I could leave 0 stars. read more

The staff is super friendly and the place is extremely clean. Your manicure will last double the time because they apply extra time and effort into each coat. Their free massage with it is perfect. It's definitely worth an extra five dollars for the gel manicure. You never feel rushed here. This is my new go to spot!!!! read more

Totally disappointed. Went there 2 days ago to have a set of gel tips put on. I arrived at 9:30am (when I was told) to find the place closed but I waited along with the other 10 people in front of the shop. They assigned 2 people to do my nails. The first didn't know how to do a gel set. While the other seemed to know but appeared to want to charge me extra for the nail polish. I picked a metallic color which I was told I'd pay 5 dollars more. But the 2nd person assigned wanted to charge me $15 more. I called the manager, who assigned the folks doing my nails but he didn't care to understand what the issue was and was RUDE!! They did not even have the prices posted anywhere either! Suffice it to say, I left and will NOT return. My impression in the end was that the manager will give a person a basic price, the the nail folks will then add additional money to that price as they want. I've never seen this happen before and it will not happen to me! Advice: stay away!! No prices posted & unskilled staff = disaster. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. I have never left a review for anything but I was so upset/angry with this experience that I made a yelp account just for this. This was the WORST experience I've ever had getting my nails done. This was my first time going to Yh's and I will never go back, told my sisters and friends not to go either. When I went in I already had UV gel on, all I needed was a fill. He started filing my nails down and buffing them like they always do, but he sanded them down so thin that it started to hurt. I told him it was becoming painful and he said "do you want it or not?" he seemed annoyed. He was very rough with my cuticles and made 4 of my fingers bleed. When I told him he was hurting me for the second time, he sighed and just kept going. When he started painting my nails, I realized he hadn't put on the UV gel, and it looked like he was just doing a regular gel manicure. I asked him about it and he said "it's okay," I was confused but I let him continue, thinking maybe he was doing it a different way or something. A few minutes goes by and he says that I can go pay now. I asked him if he was finished and he said yes. I told him I had asked for UV gel, not a regular gel manicure which is what he had done. He pointed to the door and told me that there was now a long wait and he needed to move on to the next person. I had to leave for work within the next hour so I didn't have time to deal with the situation at that time. This man took off my gel nails completely, sanded my nails down to be paper thin and then only did a gel manicure which is not what I asked for. I reminded him twice during the process that I wanted UV gel (and that he was hurting me) and he pretty much ignored me. He was also obviously rushing and my polish job itself is awful. I showed a few of my coworkers and they were all completely shocked that I had my nails done at a nail salon as they would have assumed it was something I did myself at home since it was so terrible. My nails are paper thin and they hurt, a few hours later when I was at work, 3 of them broke completely. I ended up cutting them all down because they were bending and becoming extremely painful. I have to wait until they grow out completely to even get my nails done again. The rest of the employees there were also pretty rude, I overheard a few other issues that other customers were having as well. A super frustrating experience and I will never recommend this place to anyone. read more

I've been here a few times before and had a good experience. But the last two experiences there were not so great. I'm fairly disappointed in what's happened and probably won't be going back. I came in with a friend and wanted my acrylic nails removed. I was shocked to see that the lady I sat with just dug a tool between my acrylic nails and real nails and literally ripped them apart. It did not feel comfortable and even hurt. This was new for me and I asked her if we are supposed to be soaking these in acetone and she told me no and proceeded to (kind of) torture me. She even tore some of my real nails off in the process and said nothing. I learned later with my friend that this is the incorrect and unprofessional way of getting acrylic nails removed. During the last visit, when I got my acrylic nails, my fingers bled- also not good. Also, the gentleman that was doing my friend's pedicure would impatiently tap her leg without saying anything. Then he'd suck his teeth and lean back in his chair when she was too slow to act. Neither of us were understanding why he wasn't simply using his words to tell us to either bring a foot up or down, or to put it in the nail dryer. It was pretty rude in my opinion, but when she finally paid the guy he kept asking for his tip. When he finally got it, he walked off. I was pretty unhappy with how that visit went, and I'm only giving two stars because things were great until the last two visits like I mentioned before. read more

I am picky when it comes to nail salons. This is the first one I like in Orange County. It's super clean, and it's big. They have 6 trays of gel colors with exact matching colors for toes. My gel manicure lasts about 2 weeks before it starts chipping. read more

My family and I have been going to YH since they opened. We always call and make an appt and never had any issues waiting. My mom loved this nail salon, she was battling cancer, when she would come in, her favorite technicians were so kind and gentle with her, made her feel special. I am so appreciative for this.
