I came here for a full new acrylic set and was really disappointed with both the pricing and the quality of the service. Before starting, I showed the nail tech a photo of the style I wanted. She told me a French tip would cost $10 extra, even though the large sign on the wall with NEW and UPDATED prices clearly listed French tips as $7. When I politely pointed this out, she said, "For your set it's $10," even though the French tip was only on 8 out of 10 fingers. Then she added that the simple design I wanted would be another $7, and once she got to shaping, she told me there was yet another extra charge for shaped nails, even though I only wanted a basic almond shape. With all these unexpected upcharges, you'd think the work would at least be flawless, but it wasn't. I got cut during the process, one nail is visibly crooked, the French tips are uneven, and the shaping itself is inconsistent. I've never had an experience like this at any other salon. Too many surprise fees, and the end result wasn't even done properly. Definitely won't be returning. read more

I was expecting much worse when I came in here. Although the woman in the front seat seems rude or she just ignored/was rude to me. The guy complimented my hair then asked if it was mine. I BET no other group if people get asked this rude and invasive question. Other than that the woman who did my nails said in the 2nd seat from the door and she was meticulous and my nails came out pretty nice. I have since gone 2 more times. The 2nd time was also pretty good. The last time I went I get the feeling the guy was new to nails or nail design and I honestly believe he was ignoring me when I spoke to him and that's not okay. I didn't get the stiletto nails I told him I had. To me this looks more Almond-like. However, he insisted on filing away. The 1st design wasn't what I asked for so I settled for dots on the other hand which are awkwardly placed. read more

Its a hit or miss here. Some nails are thorough others not so much. New techs seems to be doing better. Have been visiting for one year for acrylic and gel. One critical thing here is when you question what you are paying for or if there is a-price change, they speak to you as you are an idiot, or speak about you in their native language and then laugh and look at you as the do. I have considered looking into a new place as this occurred twice. Also the harassment about tipping is not how things should be done. So If had 109.00 worth things done for myself and daughter, I had to tip 4 people I gave pedicure techs 7.00 each thats 14.00 and nail techs 7.00 each another 14.00 the manager had the nerve to ask " only 7.? Thats 28.00 in tips alone. Never question your customer tips are appreciated not mandatory. read more

I witnessed the salon deny an elderly woman on oxygen a simple manicure. I witnessed her confirm verbally with them that she had called before she came in. I saw her wait an hour, getting up (not easy) to ask when they would take her as they let others in front of her who they said had appointments. This woman was a religious woman, wore her mask over her oxygen tubes through her nose, I can not say for sure this involved any type of prejudice but it was sad to see that she may have been treating this way because of this. I hope not. She was soft spoken and treated those she spoke to respectfully. I said something to the woman before she finally left without services, to stay, but she was practically crying when she walked out. I hope that this was a very unusual event that occurs at this salon, it was my first and likely last time there. My fill and pedicure were good and deserves more than the one star, but humanity matters more. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. I came in last night to have my nails just manicured and cleaned up, no polish nothing. I get my Gels in NYC (and for good reason) I just needed something in between for a few days. The manicurist cut all my long nails off and grinded down on my skin on the ones that were short. They became uneven and beyond repair. Then, the manager came over and started doing my nails and was doing an equally as bad job. My nails look disgusting, no care or professionalism was put into my service. Will never be back. Ever. read more

Been doing my nails here for about two years. At first I really loved it mainly for the cleanliness. But the more I go, the more I realize how unskilled, rushed, and condescending many of the workers here are. I've noticed the membership vow of providing free ten min massages is a marketing scheme and workers are reluctant to provide this service. Get ready to hear snide remarks and looks if you request this service. They assume Americans only speak English, so they speak freely in Mandarin. Also, the wait time is ridiculous even if you have a reservation. It's just not worth it. Update... I gave it another try. A man named Thomas did a really good job on my nails. Clean and pretty nail place , nails aren't perfect tho! A good pedicure but the people are too pushy when your trying to pick a color they just want to get you in and out as soon as possible & it's not relaxing when you get that vibe. Also only one of the girls speaks English which is hard when your trying to tell your nail guy how exactly you want your nails ! I have came back a couple of times and it seems like there prices are getting higher and higher and I am a regular customer , not anymore after the fact my nails always break and the gel nail polish always comes off within a few days . I love this place , I always come here and get my nails , eye brows and sometimes a massage . The people are really nice and they actually talk with you . They even give you a card for how many times you go there . Aslo there have all new package sterile to do your nails and feet . VERY CLEAN and GREAT PRICE. read more

My friend treated me to a pedi for my birthday. We didn't have to wait long. The tech didn't soak my feet, he rub some lotion and hot rocks on my legs for about one minute. He proceeded to paint my nails without cutting the cuticles or trimming them. I stopped him and told him too. My first pedi since covid. whole pedi was about 20 mins, 10 0f them was used under the dryer. SOOOOOOOOOOOO disappointed. read more

Soooo I live in Monroe NY and I frequent Y&H nail salon. When I say prejudiced I mean PREJUDICED!!! Upon arrival I stood at the desk and was never asked what I was there for. I made a 2 o'clock appt, only to be told the tech was at lunch. When I asked what time she would return the response was "she'll be back". When I noted that I made an appt, I was told if I wanted to, I could wait. Meanwhile this is the same woman, who when I was once late for an appt gave me an entire speech about the very inconvenience of being late for an appt. Two minutes later a white woman walks in and is greeted with "hello, how can I help you today? Two minutes after, the very same thing. This owner has a nasty attitude and is clearly racist. This is not a place I would recommend to any person of color if you plan on being treated with common decency. read more

Well I have come to this salon in the past for years but quality of service slowly began to dwindle. A new spa opened up and a tried it a few times and it was great so I started going there. but couldn't book an appointment in time for my trip. So I came back to this YH nails. They did great! So I decided to come back again thinking the service had improved Unfortunately for them when I came back again it was a disaster. I waited 30 mins before I was asked what I needed then proceeded to wait an additional 45 minutes (and that being generous-but it was Sunday so gotta cut them some slack) well I asked for a pedicure and full set but coffin tips )as it was time for a new set).The girl proceeded to glue on the tips and I said I asked for coffin. She said we don't hVe them but don't worry I will shape them. I was weary because it's a very specific shape and filing too much on one side can make it look completely off. And well it did. I mention more then a few times they need to be even and she said I'm not done. She went to go paint and I said ma'am they aren't even and she got up and disappeared to the back for 10 minutes. Meanwhile another older male came up (been there for years) and asked what was wrong and I explained and he huffed and walked away. So at this point I realized why I left his salon in the first place. On top of the fact she didn't clean or cut my cuticles, after failing to even out my nails . But literally had some one sit next to me and began to work on her nails while she was attempting to finish mine. I was suppose to get a pedicure after to match the color but after a hour of wAiting I just left . I'm so dissatisfied and disappointed. This use to be a great place. Maybe they need to change the workers who take pride in their job bc they clearly suck at customer service, and being professional but will give you a major attitude when you ask them to correct something your paying for. read more

Called ahead on two different times and was able to be seen when I wanted to! First was for 4 pedicures the day before Christmas Eve, we were all able to be seen and sat next to each other which was great. The pedicures were all very good! Second time was a few days after Christmas for a few different services and again we were all able to be seen which I was very happy about. NEVER AGAIN. I'm disappointed, but not surprised at the decline in customer service at YH. It started a couple weeks ago when my daughter came in for a fill and was treated VERY POORLY by the female tech (the one who greets u at the door). I was there, sitting beside her as this woman abrasively waved her off to wash her hands, repeatedly paused then gave an evil eye as she tugged at her hands to keep them straight, and finally shooed her away to sit under the nail dryer. I chalked it up as a bad day and told my daughter she should be more still next time. I even asked what SHE could have done to piss this lady off so badly. Well, FF to today. Went in, all smiles and asked for a fill in for daughter. We sit. THREE (3) other women come in (NO APPOINTMENT). 20 minutes go by. The tech calls the 3 women to be seated as well as my daughter, yet they were taken care of immediately. I POLITELY ask, "how many minutes for fill?" Tech: They are only getting color. ME (more FIRMLY): HOW MANY MINUTES? Tech (already annoyed at me. Oh, the GALL I ask): 5 minutes! WTF. In most professional nail salons, the customer is advised beforehand of a long wait or a short one, as lady #3 was advised. IN MOST PROFESSIONAL SALONS, the tech will even let u know why 3 PEOPLE ARE BEING SERVICED BEFORE YOU!! I'm not going to speculate on this angry person's reasoning for her blatant dislike of us, as what she eats DOESN'T make me sh!t, but I do know we've always tipped well, never complained about service and were loyal regulars. Had an appointment on a weekend and they made me wait an hour because they gave my guy a walk in 10 mins before my scheduled appointment. Then the lady at the front counter began arguing with me that it's my job to tell my guy when I'm there for my appointment. First of all, I told the front desk when I walked in that I had an appointment. Second, at that time, it's YOUR job to tell him his appointment was there. What do you want me to do? Go right up to him in the middle of a customer and tell him to take me? Look, I don't mind waiting if he was finishing up with someone. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Every single time I have been here, maybe a handful of times, it has been a poor experience. The only reason I come back is because it's minutes from my house but it's not even about convenience anymore because I end up waiting at least an hour each time. Make an appointment, wait an hour. Don't make an appt, wait an hour. No one seems to know who is in charge or what's going on, there are always customers complaining and no one addressing their concerns. The staff complains my nails are too short and always tries to upsell me a set of acrylics when all I want is a manicure. I have to tell them 20 times just a regular pedicure, then they try to sell you a spa pedicure 20 more times. Most annoying thing ever. Horrible customer service. I went here because I heard very nice things about this nail salon, but I was not pleased with my nails at all. My other nail salon was closed, therefore I had to choose a different location. I came to get a fill because I was going to Florida in a couple days. I made the appointment for 1230 & they did not start doing my nails until 1:15. The other lady's sitting with me had the same issue. I chose a nice light yellow color & that was the only thing I liked about my nails. My nails look like I've had them for a week already Because they painted my nails so far from my cuticles, my cuticles were not even cut off, you can see through my nails because there was not enough coating, it's been 4 days & my nails have already chipped so much!! I got gel acrylics & this has never happened at my regular salon. It's like he rushed my nails. It also looks like he touched my nails with something & it left marks on 2 nails. I'm not sure if all the employees are like this (most likely not, not sure) but I will never go back because this guy did my nails so terrible. Not mad just disappointed. read more
