Been over four years since my last review! This is my go to spot whenever I am craving a good bowl of Seol Lung Tang or Bibim NangMyun. For the Seoul Lung Tang, don't forget to add salt and for spice, add their hot pepper paste- this is a must. We usually order their haemul pajun to start. It's a huge serving and oh so good. Korean comfort food!

I stopped by Yett Gol, because I wanted to undo some of the work from my gym workout. Also, I wanted to try a new spot in the strip of restaurants in this shopping center. While the over appearance of the restaurant is not super fancy, the food definitely makes up for this. For my dining pleasure, I went with the combo Bokum Bop, which is Korean fried rice with chicken, beef, and shrimp. The dish was about 16 bucks, which was not bad for the amount of food you receive. Actually, the food was enough for two people...or one really hungry person. ;) While tasty, I thought the fried rice was a bit soggy for my liking, but it was not anything disastrous. Perhaps, that could have been the style of preparation. The service was pretty fast, and my waitress was nice. Overall, I thought Yett Gol is a decent, very low-key Korean restaurant. While I did not have any significant issues with my food or service, I probably would not go out of my way (e.g., a 20+ minute drive) to grab food from this restaurant. However, all bets are off if I'm in the general area. Fortunately for me, my gym is located right around the corner.

No frills Korean comfort food tucked away in the corner of the plaza. We had the sullungtang and mul nangmyung. Cold noodles were tangy and sweet, refreshing for this hot summer day. The Sullungtang broth was rich and i like to eat it with minimal salt since i like the pure taste of the broth. Ban chan included radish and Napa kimchi, sprouts, and a kale "salad" which I don't see very often. Prices are affordable, both around $14.

This is one our all time favorite Korean restaurant. Cozy atmosphere. A perfect place to enjoy some soju with friends and family. They serve traditional family style Korean food, in large shareable portions. Family run business, and service had always been great. From crispy pork, katsu combo, pancakes, to traditional style soups and homemade spicy paste are all very delicious. Over the years, their prices has gone up a bit, but still within reasonable range. Easy parking out in the shopping center where the restaurant is located. Highly recommended by @WineDinenVacay

I love this place. It is a small, low-key establisment in a strip mall. The writing on the storefront is in Korean and so may be hard to find. The people there are always friendly. They have a varied menu but their beef bone soup is the star. The thick hot seollungtang broth is so satisfying and gives me energy after a long exhausting week. Seollungtang is also a perfect hangover soup. The radish kimchi is excellent - a must for seollungtang. The dogani muchim is a health food as it is full of collagen. It is also delicious here. Older Korean people have always loved eating this because they said it was good for their joints. Nowadays, with all the research on the many benefits of collagen for people of all ages I am glad to have found a place where they make dogani so well.

10/15/23 Back again, but this time I ordered the Korean Pancake and My wife order Sun Du Bo.   This time around, I added a bit of salt and Ranch Dressing (Picked up at Pizza Hut) to the pancake.  Delicious:) Ms. Kim took our order and was there to assist with whatever else we needed.  Ms. Kim looked a little bored, because it wasn't busy when we came in.  Nevertheless, two guests in the restaurant is better than no guests in the restaurant.  We did met The Owner Mike again and he changed his appearance.   He looked happier and younger too.  I say if Darkness Prevails,  (Like the YouTube Reader)Then Happiness is a Godsend. Keep up the good work Mike. I did forget to get the name of restaurant Mike's sister owns and operates.  Maybe I will remember it later on. We are likely to come back here for another round here.

OG traditional Korean food that is a family favorite. Everyone knows this place has the best kimchi jjigae and solleongtang in town. The japchae is on the sweeter side but sheesh it's flavorful and a huge step up from basic h mart japchae. The kimchi jjigae is also loaded with flavor; it's sweeter as well which helps round out the salty savory soup. The ambiance is great, there's Korean TV playing in the background and the decor and table settings are all traditional. We had the restaurant to ourselves but we didn't mind, the server was super chill and let me and my friend catch up for two hours, topped off our hot tea while eating delicious food. 10/10

Food was simply delicious! We had seafood pancake and in MHO it's the best in the DMV, tofu stew with a raw egg already in the hot stone bowl which I stirred up, and beef trip soup that was wonderful treat in the cold weather. Service was quick and courteous. Ambience is very casual.

Lovely hole in the wall family-owned seemingly legit Korean place that specializes in bone broth (seolleongtang), but has a variety of other soups and dishes. TRIPE BONE BROTH (SEOLLEONGTANG): Deceptively simple but complex broth chock full of chives with a solid serving of tripe. It's intended for personal customization so you can add salt, pepper, and red pepper paste to your liking. I added a lot of the red pepper paste and a generous spoonful or two of salt and it was homey and hit the spot. It comes with perfectly made white rice. BANCHON: Excellent Kim chi, sweet pickled radish strips, Kim chi radish, and sesame bean sprouts, all tasty. PRICE: $($) 13.95/most soups including this one, which feels like a steal during these inflationary days. SERVICE: Excellent, friendly, helpful, attentive. HOURS: Open all day, including in the mid-afternoon which was perfect since I couldn't make it over until 2-3pm, when most places are very understandably closed. LOCATION: I saw a lot of reviews complaining about a dingy parking lot and shopping complex. It certainly isn't new but it looks like a standard shopping complex in this area. It can be hard to find so look for the Korean sign (two characters) located close to the inner corner of the shopping center, kitty corner from the Sunoco gas station. Based on all the reviews, I'm excited to go back to try out the soon dubu, seafood pancake, Naeum myon, dolsot bibimbap, and other dishes.

This is our go-to local Korean restaurant whenever we want a nice meal without having to drive to Ellicott City, Md or Anandale, Va. They are a friendly, local business in the corner of the Glenmont shopping center right next to a couple other places that you may be interested in checking out. The food is cooked well, served fresh, hot, and with kindness. I have never had a bad meal here and always leave wondering why don't I come here more often? However went there recently for Father's Day and ordered a number of dishes which I will add pictures of. Lastly the owner is super friendly and cares about the food she serves to her diners. They offer a 10% discount when paying with cash. Highly recommend this restaurant and will continue to dine there for the foreseeable future.

The Bibimbap and Miso soup were tasty. There wasn't too much beef, but a lot of veggies. Our Chicken Fried Rice was good, but a little bland. Needed more seasoning. My wife said the Pig's Feet was good, so she liked that one. Our table service was fine.

So was the overhead music. Guess I expected a more authentic Korean experience, but the place was more or less an Americanized Korean bistro. Still, the foods seemed authentic! We ordered a few things to share... Mandu, Dolsot Bibimbap, and this Ssam Board. For drinks, my husband got some beer (?), and I got this fruity cocktail (??). First, the positives! The Mandu was really, really good...and quite meaty! The Dolsot Bibimbap was good in that it came with a generous load of fresh veggies. Now the problems. The Bulgogi in the Dolsot Bibimbap was problematic. It was a bit too fatty...and too chunky...and just hard to eat. It was also a bit bland! They should have cut it up a bit...or provided us with proper cutlery, like a fork and a knife! This is a pet peeve of mine...but nowadays, hardly any restaurant gives you the full set of cutlery. Just fork, or just chopsticks!! Then the Ssam Board. While it looked luscious, I personally had a problem with the meat. While I love Galbi, cuts of Galbi was all-out rare. The waiter didn't even ask for our preference, by the way. If I knew it'd be prepared that red, I would have ordered something else. If it was medium-rare, for instance, I might have liked this dish. My husband prefers a much more rare cut of meat than me, yet even he thought this was too red. Also, I expected something more than raddish for sides. Not sure if this "Board" was worth $42. We also tried this Black Sesame Ice Cream dessert. I loved the flavor...but nothing too special. Service was a bit off as well. While friendly at our table, our waiter wasn't too attentive...especially in the beginning. If he stopped by our table earlier, I might have gotten them to bring back the Ssam Board to cook the meat a bit more. Frankly, I was underwhelmed with the foods, the presentation, even the service. Overall, there were just too many things amiss (or just underwhelming??)...so much so that I doubt I'll pick this place again.
