This time I switched out the Krab fries for the grilled cheez Grilled cheez was super cheesy, tomatoes caused the bread to slide a bit but the overall flavor was fantastic. I would have like it to have been cut lengthwise so the cheese wasn't getting in my beard when I bit into it, but, worth it The grilled romaine was just as my girlfriend remembered, with a nice char and great flavor. Empanadas might have been even Better this time around. 10/10, no notes. I was not excited about the fries, I would probably try the sweet potato fries next time. If you like 5 guys fries you'll probably like them, the flavor is similar. The sauced fries were great as well - just prepare to get "sticky fingers." Now on to the entrees. The vegan Philly cheesesteak was absolutely delicious. The ingredients were well sautéed and flavor able while delivering a little heat to keep your destructive taste buds from devouring the sandwhich too quickly. The vegan meat itself was almost indistinguishable from real meat per my wife - and I would have to agree. The wings were crisped nicely and the sticky sauce was very delicious. It did not need a dip to go with - and it was eaten all the way down to the bone. We will definitely be back to try out some other delicious foods- both vegan and non vegan. It is refreshing to go to a cafe and know everything is vegan. They had a variety of items on the menu. The tofu egg salad was very good and the Shrimp Po'boy was also tasty. They also use compostable cups for their drinks. What struck me the most was The Birch Cafe allows pop ups. There was a woman selling baked goods. This directly competes with their business and they give her a space to grow her brand. It was very much a caring community feel. Of course I bought bakery to bring home.
