Michelle recently purchased this business. She has made a number of physical improvements to the building. I have been taking my dog to Susie for well over a year and had been very satisfied with her skill. However, during the last two visits my pet had to be drug into the building. The price time before last was increased $10. Michelle said she felt it necessary to increase. OK; however, when I went in for the next visit (six weeks later) as I was picking up my pet the price was an additional $25. While my dog is large and does not like her paws trimmed, I take her to be groomed every six to eight weeks. I suppose I would not have been so upset if Michelle or Susie had bothered to tell me "before" I brought her in. I felt very badly to be told as I was paying that the fee had been increased by 25%. Michelle is a lovely person and I wish her success with this business; but it will be without my patronage. read more

Have taken small dog to be groomed off and on with satisfaction over the last 2.5 years. Had a horrific experience in August, when upon paying for service and being handed my groomed dog, groomer (not the owner), greeted me to inform that she had accidentally 'clipped' the neck of my dog. No mics can happened, especially with a scared, wiggly animal. However, 'clipped' in this case was a 1.5" bloody gouge with and equal strip of dangling skin a seven lb dog. Said, "You might not be able to put his collar for a week". Ha! Three weeks of daily cleaning, a round of antibiotics later, was able to put my dog's collar on. Most disturbing, was the owner sitting complacent at her desk and zero comment, nor offer to compensate. Nope, never again and have reached out to those I had previously recommended. read more

NO STARS. Took my English Bulldog here because of the good reviews. I should've listened to the bad reviews. NEVER GO HERE. Dirty "clean" towels, dirty floor, dirty EVERYTHING. I get that it's a dog washing place but it was literally disgusting. Gave us no aprons, was telling me about my dogs bacteria in her folds when I don't even want to know how much bacteria was in that place. I'm disgusted. Literally want to bathe in bleach after breathing in that air. DONT GO HERE. read more

Fantastic service! Eliyah groomed my great pryness. I am in awe on how good my dog looks. Hes a big breed white dog and he's the best he's ever looked. She was able to get us in sooner than expected and was very pleasant to work with. Gp can be hard dogs to groom just she did amazing. Found this place on Yelp. It was close(ish) to the Sand Dunes, and had great reviews! My girlfriend and I were traveling from out of state with our puppy that needed grooming BAD. I called the day before to make an appointment and see if we could leave our dog with them to get groomed while we went to the dunes and pick her up before they closed the same day. They told us yes but since she was a puppy and it was her first haircut, they would 100% bathe her and trim her nails, but could only cut her as much as she'd allow them to. When dropping her off, the woman that checked us in was very friendly, but we kept getting yelled at by another woman in back saying, "Y'all know you're NOT gonna be back before 5 o'clock right????" Since I asked the day before if leaving her would be ok (and was told yes), I asked again "is that still all right?" The woman in back just shrugged her shoulders and had a very "Well I GUESS" attitude. After getting back from the dunes (before 5pm), we picked up our dog, thanked them again, and left. It wasn't until we got to the car that we noticed her nails had not been cut (or at least not noticeably cut), only her paws and face were trimmed, AND there were still 3 knots of fur on her that had not been removed. Two on her stomach from getting some tree sap and one on her back foot. They charged us more than we were quoted over the phone and we still left a nice tip (again, before leaving and noticing everything that had not been done). My dog is usually very hesitant when he walks into a new place but he just pranced straight in and followed the groomer right into the pen. And I picked him up he was beautiful with a nice cocker cut. Best of all they are open on Sundays, and their rates are reasonable!! read more

They raked my dogs skin from so bad during deshedding that he couldn't be touched for weeks. Initially I thought his back was going out because he would lower his hind legs when anyone barely pet him. I took him to the vet for xrays and turns out it was from "aggressive deshedding". He was prescribed steroids, antibiotics and pain meds. They reimbursed me for the vet bill but that wasn't good enough, she should have reimbursed me for the $70 fee I paid her to torture my dog!! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. As a matter of fact, be sure to stay with your dog if you are dumb enough not to heed this warning. Those of you who have taken and continue to take your dogs to this horrible groomer, be sure you check your dog for scabs. My poor baby had them ALL over his body!! This place needs to be out of business. How they have nearly 5 stars is beyond me. I would have never known had I not taken him straight to the vet thinking his back went out. You ought to be ashamed of yourself treating poor defenseless animals like that. read more

Well. We've driven by Yer Dirty Dawg many times, but we've heard so many great things about it that we're going to try it out eventually. Normally, I won't do reviews on businesses that I haven't frequented myself. It's only a two-minute drive from our home, and just the signage alone makes you want to go check it out! We have an Australian Shepherd male and an Irish Setter/Chocolate Lab/Chow mixed female (both "fixed"). We are new to the area and needed a groomer for our 14yr old girl, Heidi--She's super easy to get along with, has short hair, but was in desperate need of having her nails done! I called and was told to bring her on over. The facility was clean and set up nicely. The staff was super friendly. We left Heidi to get a bath and her nails done. Got the call to pick her up... she was super soft, clean, and nails trimmed nicely! The price was fair. I would have given 5 stars except her nails didn't get filed --but to be fair, I didn't ask if that was part of "cutting" the nails, so it could be considered an extra request and my own fault that it didn't happen. We will definitely be going again and I will ask next time and I'm certain to be able to give 5 stars. I recommend this place to everyone--it definitely shows that they care about YOUR babies!!! read more

I took my two 80# dogs to them and (they--the dogs ) were a mess. I was over the moon with the job they've done. One had just been to the vet 3 days earlier for a cut foot and they took great care of her fear with work on the foot. Especially excited that they didn't keep them for hours in a kennel. Gwen took both of our dogs - a BIG Australian Shepherd male and an Irish Setter/Chow/Retriever mix female, and turned them into the freshest-smelling,clean & happy dogs we've ever seen. Nails trimmed, hair knots eliminated, and SOFT FUR. Gwen has a great setup, tubs and grooming stands, with multiple leads so that the dogs cannot hurt themselves trying to get away. When we got home, we fed them - and they were just prancing around like they were saying, "Look at me!" My wife & I highly recommend Yer Dirty Dawg. Your pets will love you! read more

they did a pretty great job, there was a small communication error somehow, i wanted to get my dog bathed and brushed, that's it, before the lady took my dog back she said "just a bath and a good brush right?" and i replied yes and left. my boyfriend picked my dog up and when he brought her home i immediately noticed she looked a lot different, but in a good way they gave her the works, bath, trim, nails, she looked great lol however, i wasn't expecting to pay for that, but i mean, i wasn't mad. she really did look great, better than i expected. yes i did pay more than i expected to or originally wanted to, but now that i'm looking at my dog it was worth it, not the worst mistake someone's ever made lol so they get 5 stars from me. read more

This is the only place in Pueblo where you can wash your own dog. The facilities were nice. Very similar to a wag n wash, but what really made this place for me were the owners. They were so friendly and inviting and you can tell they really love dogs. I live in West and was originally disappointed to have to drive to the south side, but not anymore. The 1st time I dropped both my small dogs off for their appt. They didn't do a very good job. My girls had long hairs they missed all over and didn't do the cut I asked. I said i would never go back again, but decided to give them another chance. We'll I should of never decided to go back, this was even worse than the first visit. They did not do the cut I asked again and when I asked them to fix her hair on her head they had an attiude. The older lady grabbed my dogs face rough and complained that she was not staying still. I left so they can finish what they said they finished when they called and said she was done. Went back to pick her up noticed they didn't trim her paws completely, messed up her face even more and shaved way to close to the skin on her chest. I will never ever go back and have them groom my dogs again. I would never recommend them to groom dogs ever. This place should just be a do it yourself dog wash and the groomers should find another job. The older lady is rude, loud and not nice at all.
