Beware of inappropriate movie previews! We took our young kids to see the Yellowstone movie and…read moreended up being shown previews for Dune: Part II, the latest Hunger Games, and A Haunting in Venice. All really intense music with war, fighting to the death, witchcraft, seance and murder. Then to top if off -- a woman screaming in horror at the top of her lungs. My poor kids sat there scared and covering their eyes and ears the best they could. I tried to get them to leave but they were frozen in fear in their seats. We were unaware there would be previews at all - let alone THESE! Surely, other previews that are more appropriate for all ages exist. I was so mad I got up and complained. The employee said he couldn't stop or skip it. Saying, "Well, it's PG13." To which I asked him what the movie was rated because I thought maybe we were accidentally at the wrong showing. Nope, he said PG. Exactly my point! Not OK to have adult previews at a PG movie! He said he'd "tell the owners". I'm writing this review to warn other families to ask ahead about previews -- as I don't know if anything will change.

Yes, the theaters are not huge, but they are in very good shape with solid sound and projection. The staff members were friendly, and they had some nontraditional food and beverage choices available. We came on a rainy day along with many other visitors. The are indoor exhibits as well as indoor or covered outdoor area to enjoy the outdoor exhibits! The Grizzly Bears are very cool. Seeing them up.close, just amazing! The presentations are very informative! Sort of sad stories how the bears ended up here. To humanized and really makes you think about human behavior leading to negative bear behavior. Happy the bears are hear and not euthanized as what frequently happens! The woves were souch fun to watch. They have an indoor cabin where you can see two different packs segregated. Thete was glass on each side and when the wolves saw the other (rival) pack, it was fun to see their reaction. There is a large indoor otter exhibit. Owl and Eagle exhibits. Nice larhe play area for kids. I woukd suggest 3 or more hours for a visit. We wanted to come back again the next day but ran out of tme.

Note they also do AAA and student rates here! - EXPERIENCE - Its not the biggest center but decent enough sized that we spent about an hour to an hour and half here. There's a large bear compound in the center and they do feedings - check out the schedule board so you don't miss it! My next favorite area were the ground squirrels - how adorable!!! I do wish there were more otters to see, but only one was really active and swimming around. - OVERALL - A cool spot if you're driving by Yellowstone and want to support this center!

It has the biggest screen in the area for movies. They give a military and senior discount. It's ONLY $5!! That's for first run movies, even. They play movies in the summer for kids. They have really good popcorn and last I was there had flavorings for the pocorn, too. Their concession prices are less than Fat Cats. It is an old building and has that vintage charm - including the marque. The staff pays attention to the movies and what's happening so if something is wrong they know. There are just curtains that separate the lobby from the theater so they can hear everything that's happening sound wise and are very prompt at fixing it. They have deals in the Starving Student card and all the high school cards. CONS: The bathrooms are old and small. But it's a really old building, too. They have a small lobby so when there's a premier it's kinda crowded in the lobby, BUT there's plenty of room for everyone in the theater (500 seats!), There's no drinking fountain, St. Anthony is only a 15 minute drive from Rexburg and the experience plus the lower cost is much more worth the drive than going to the first run theater (Fat Cats) in Rexburg. They do Superbowl parties there, and other events sometimes too! It's all streamed from an HD projector onto that huge screen.
