It's never overly crowded, employees are helpful and friendly and the theatres are clean. There are not a lot of frills; no reclining heated seats or anything like that, but the seats are very comfortable. You do have to go through the concessions to get to your theatre which can get a little crowded, but smart marketing move. I'd highly recommend this theater for your next movie night!

Beware of inappropriate movie previews! We took our young kids to see the Yellowstone movie and…read moreended up being shown previews for Dune: Part II, the latest Hunger Games, and A Haunting in Venice. All really intense music with war, fighting to the death, witchcraft, seance and murder. Then to top if off -- a woman screaming in horror at the top of her lungs. My poor kids sat there scared and covering their eyes and ears the best they could. I tried to get them to leave but they were frozen in fear in their seats. We were unaware there would be previews at all - let alone THESE! Surely, other previews that are more appropriate for all ages exist. I was so mad I got up and complained. The employee said he couldn't stop or skip it. Saying, "Well, it's PG13." To which I asked him what the movie was rated because I thought maybe we were accidentally at the wrong showing. Nope, he said PG. Exactly my point! Not OK to have adult previews at a PG movie! He said he'd "tell the owners". I'm writing this review to warn other families to ask ahead about previews -- as I don't know if anything will change.

There was considerable snow on the ground when we arrived and late in the afternoon a snowstorm moved in. That didn't stop us from taking pictures either of the two days we were there....and in fact, the snow just made it that much more interesting. We both loved it there - and we were already in our late 60s then! I highly recommend this place for people of all ages - and especially photographers!

Unfortunately we were only able to go one day but if you have the time, it's a great place to see the Bears and other animals. We started off at the outside movie theater, which is amazing a huge screen with tons of seating. I'm sure it's filled during the summer months. We then made our way over to the Bears where the Ranger gave a speech about how to use bear spray which was very useful. Then they let out to the Bears they search for their food and came around so you can get a close look at them. They have a schedule set up for the times the Bears come out and the Rangers explain who they are and how they feed them. Then we made our way to the wolves and watch them walk around and interact with each other. As we made our way to the otter building, we saw the owls and eagles. The otters exhibit was very nice. It's indoors they put out the food first for the otters and then they have to find it so you see them running around and swimming . They're so adorable. The gift shop was very nice as well. It's a must see.

The quality of the merchandise--especially the apparel--is better than what I saw in the many other tourist shops in the area. Staff were friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed shopping here. The Executive Director has a management style that includes belittling others, yelling, cursing,…read moreand randomly assigning arbitrary rental fees at the last minute. Some of the horror stories from community members are published in the "Save the Emerson" petition circulating on the internet. In the petition comments, the executive director's behavior is described as disrespectful, unprofessional, mean, caustic, abusive, unbearable, unsupportive, righteous, competitive, unfriendly, bullying, awful, extremely rude, difficult, unhealthy, vindictive, and vile. As stated in the petition, tenants and community members feel disrespected, humiliated, slighted, uncomfortable, censored, fearful oof retaliation, intimidated, insulted, fearful of retribution by the executive director. The executive director is known to use racial slurs, slander, and generally abusive behavior on a daily basis according to the petition comments. She is also known to viciously scold children and use vulgar language in front of them.
