This means the street (Main) is closed off around 5 pm or so, parking becomes fierce after that on the area streets, so keep that in mind. Once the street is closed off, some of the shops that line the street put a little stand out front, there are some other street vendor the things (think face painting) as well. There is a stage for live music, the schedule is posted in advance, and there are some food vendors out. The lines got long fast at the vendors, so I'm guessing the food was good. The pricing was similar to NY Street fair vendors I found. Bozeman all around will cost you some money. The stores that line the street are galleries and upscale boutiquest and the like. The restaurants on the street are also upscale and nice. These are Thursdays from June-Aug. Its a great thing to have "stumbled upon" and if you are planning to pass through Bozeman, I'd do it on a Thur in the summer for this event.

Luckily, despite a few surprises in the show, it was still enjoyable and entertaining. Broad Comedy is a to-the-point comedy troupe of 4-6 women performing skits of feminine humor with a side of politics thrown in. I felt like a lot of the skits were geared towards women in their 30s-40s more (cue the "You're 40" skit), but it was still fun/funny for me to watch and listen to. I suppose it prepared me for some things to look forward to when I'm in that age range, huh? Overall, not a bad show; Broad Comedy will soon be premiering in Los Angeles, so be on the look-out if you're down in the LA area. Glass, jewelry, sculpture, photos and paintings- really something for everyone. They carry originals as well as prints so there is something for everyone price wise and style wise as well. There were so many different pieces that captivated me. I ended up getting a print by James Weikert that is so colorful and such a fun representation of the beautiful Montana outdoors. I've taken 3 improv classes now and might someday shed my fear to try standup. Safety: the club has a no heckling policy. Getting up on stage in front of people is hard. Sitting in a dark crowd and offering shitty criticism is easy. I appreciate each and every person that's getting up there to try and entertain a crowd - it's a lot of work conquering your anxiety in the spotlight, and nobody gets it right 100% of the time. LBC is a place that welcomes people to start for the first time and go on a learning journey. We may not be NYC but I think it's pretty damn good for MT. Safety was something stressed in Improv 1 and I appreciated that (stressing it in all classes would be cool too). Community: come more than just one night to LBC and you'll quickly realize that the team behind LBC has built a pretty cool community of folks that care about making others laugh. People in the community care about connection, and realize that the diversity of that community can have it's challenges, but those are also the things that make it special. Some of the horror stories from community members are published in the "Save the Emerson" petition circulating on the internet. In the petition comments, the executive director's behavior is described as disrespectful, unprofessional, mean, caustic, abusive, unbearable, unsupportive, righteous, competitive, unfriendly, bullying, awful, extremely rude, difficult, unhealthy, vindictive, and vile. As stated in the petition, tenants and community members feel disrespected, humiliated, slighted, uncomfortable, censored, fearful oof retaliation, intimidated, insulted, fearful of retribution by the executive director. The executive director is known to use racial slurs, slander, and generally abusive behavior on a daily basis according to the petition comments. She is also known to viciously scold children and use vulgar language in front of them.
