This was a very nice stop while in Billings. It is a relaxed atmosphere and the lady that was working was very friendly. You can have tastings of the wine and then buy a glass which was nice. I liked how the menu described each wine and when I wasn't sure what to try, she was super helpful! We had the warm brie and it was fantastic with the wine. It was nice to have enough crackers for the cheese, seems like that does not usually happen at places. My personal favorite was the 98 block! We will be back when we come through again!

Terrible experience with the 2020 Roche Jaune white table wine!!! Brought a bottle to share with friends and none of us could drink it. So awful we emptied our glasses into the sink poured what was left in the bottle into the sink also! It was was fizzy and bubbly when poured into a glass and in the bottle had a slight cloudy appearance. Maybe just a bad bottle!?

Cute mural they have in the bar area

The cutest little winery in all of Billings. The lady who runs the show was so nice and helped us choose the right wine for our group. They offer free tasting as well as tapas, glasses and full bottles. The inside serves as the bar, restaurant and bottling facility. They don't grow their grapes in Montana, they get them shipped from Washington and make the wine inn Billings. Just a word to the wise, they only offer dry wines here. If you do not like dry wines, This isn't the winery for you. Their sweetest blend was the summer blend and it was at till not a sweet wine. I loved it. I will be buying bottles and shipping them back home. Absolutely delicious.

Well what can I say besides "free wine tasting?" If that doesn't get you to try this place then I don't know what will. You would think, "Free?" So is the wine any good? Yes every wine we tried was good. We come from California and the wines were similar. The grapes are from Washington but processed there in their warehouse. The only winery in Billings. Thank you for being part of our anniversary weekend!

Quite simple, go here, meet Clint (the owner/wine maker) and buy a ton of wine, you will be happy!!!

My mother and I stopped in after a long drive and it was the most delightful stop we made in a week-long trip. Immediately the owner and his whole family greeted us, chatted with us, and even helped to plan the rest of our trip. The Syrah was incredible, and I bought a bottle of Malbec to take home, which was fantastic. This is a MUST-STOP for anyone in or traveling to Billings.

Busy Saturday night with live entertainment. Lovely patio setting.

I visited here, from LA, while visiting my mother who lives in Billings. It was a lovely summer night and we had a pleasant place to sit on the patio. A flight of five wines was $5, which then allows you to determine which wine to drink, for a very economical $5. The wines are fantastic. We met Clint, who explained he imports his grapes from the Yakima Valley in WA and produces his wine here in Billings. His Syrah is special, but I really liked the Malbec, which I bought to take back home in my suitcase. There was live entertainment to keep us happy on a Saturday night, and we were encouraged to help ourselves to cheese and salami in the fridge to take the edge off. I will definitely come back on my next trip!

Such a great atmosphere here. Wonderful place to enjoy a great glass of wine. Had some shipped home to CA!

Free tastings and great wine! Grapes are grown in Washington and then transferred to Billings to make the wine.

We thought it was a great idea to go and get a few sandwiches yesterday so we stopped at FIREHOUSE SUBS. One large Italian, One large meatball and the worst of them all, a large NEW YORK STEAMER ( Pastrami, well it was supposed to be ) I asked for all them to be on white bread and of course one was on wheat bread ( the worse wheat bread I have ever tasted ) When you enter the place there is a great big wall or "Blinder" on your right that is were someone is making sandwiches, all you can see is the tops of there heads as I am guessing 'someone does not want you to see what they are doing in the sub assembly line'. The Large Italian was as flavorless as they come, and the Pastrami had nothing on it, i did see what could be mayo? The meatball looked decent and of the 3 was not as bad as the other two, 65 percent all bread and very little meat of any kind....mystery or otherwise. The restaurant is well lit and has all that "Firehouse" vibe, but I have to say if you served a sandwich of this nature to a firefighter with mostly bread I would guess they would not be happy! I certainly was not. They did offer us a refund on the New York Steamer but I told the female employee I would take a sandwich instead....this time we will eat in!!! Why would you put so little of the meat on a "sandwich", I got two good mouth fulls of just bread.....absolutely disappointing and a total rip off in my opinion. John J. Nazarian

Guess I'll be sticking with the "other" sandwich shops near by for now.

But, since this [Ace] hardware store used to be a grocery store, I guess it isn't that far out of the realm of possibility. Evergreen cafe is a small shop serving sandwiches, charcuterie trays, Wilcoxson's ice cream and the specialty of one of the owners: Kombucha. The brewmaster and his wife decided to open this small shop to do something different. Well, I guess a leap from engineer to kombucha brewmaster isn't what I would have expected, but from one science to another -- good for them. Each day you can stop in for a $5 grab and go box containing a half sandwich, maybe some chips, or vegetables, or a small serving of a salad of some kind. The salads are also available in containers for adding something to your at-home meals. There are at least two or three different kinds available at any time, and I've seen chicken, curry chicken, chicken apple, veggie, pasta salads. Of course, you can have a sandwich made there with your choice of meat (or egg), and cheese and you'll certainly not be disappointed in the serving size. So far, though, the charcuterie trays have been a winner for me. There are several different kinds, whatever she feels like putting into the particular tray along with the vegetables. Sometimes fruit, sometimes crackers, or different meats but they're made fresh every morning and she guaranteed each tray would contain at least a pound of something -- good for a small party -- or a couple of days of lunches or snacks. The kombucha is available in about four or five flavors. It doesn't have the sharp tang of some kinds, and the flavors are more muted, but they're still good. This time of year the cherry is must-try. Social distancing is handled well, here. There are a few tables, spaced far enough apart to meet the requirements, and that makes it easy to sit and enjoy your sandwich and perhaps chat with friends.
