I enquired if I could modify the crepe to suit my dietary requirement and the staff obliged. I got myself a crepe of spinach, egg and chicken with pesto sauce . There are various other combos and sauces available. I can't quite recollect them. The lady who took our order was the one cooking as well. Being an open kitchen cafe you can see her/staff whip up food. Once we sat down a lot of families started flocking in. The sweet crepes the kids were eating looked delicious . I reminded myself why I shouldn't eat them (FML) and focused on my crepe. I have always been annoyed with how little the seasoning is in crepes, eggs here in America. Sure I can add salt and pepper but it's not the same. I was happy to have had some good food as the entire weekend had been fried food, bread or diner food. On vacation I like to hunt down the best gluten free eateries. I was super excited to see they offer gf crepes for an extra $1.50. I tried the chicken, spinach, and cheese crepe with pesto and it was delicious!! I was a little worried that the gf crepe was also vegan but i honestly couldn't tell. I got an ice chai too that they make it from their own concentrate. Note: their menu has changed from what is shown on Yelp. There are more options for fillings and a choice between mini and standard and the prices have gone up. read more

Delicious sweet crepes, and nice atmosphere. Their savory crepes are not nearly as good. The last 3 savory crepes I got had different types of meat and on each on there were uncooked/rubbery bites. Kagen's is one of our favorite places in the Tri. A must visit and an often go to spot for us. From the subtle and welcoming atmosphere, to the delicious variations of crepes, to the best coffee in town (and that's coming from a coffee snob) kagens is the best. There is seating inside and you can watch them make your crepe right in front of you and play checkers while you're at it. There is also seating outside and nice on a crisp winter day. We love this place! The All-American crepe -with egg, cheese, bacon, and sausage gravy - is absolutely delicious. I was not a fan of the lemon crepes - it was just okay. Also they put too much syrup in flavor coffee - ask for one pump (or half the usual amount). But the atmosphere is top-notch. We love to sit on the picnic tables outside and watch people play the piano. We even saw a string quartet playing once. The people who work there seem lovely too. read more

They have the potential to be more upscale, but it's still a great place to chill and have a quick bite. The crepes are good- if you've never had a crepe from a French restaurant your bubble will not be popped because they are not authentic crepes. Absolutely scrumptious crepes and a cozy ambience to match. I skipped breakfast today and sought out this place make up for lost meals. They offer savory and sweet crepes and I was perfectly prepared for both! I ordered an savory egg, ham, cheese, and spinach crepe and a sweet Nutella and strawberry crepe for dessert. Imagine getting the standard breakfast at your favorite brunch joint, wrapping it in a 'breakfast tortilla' of sorts, and then drizzling hollandaise sauce on top. That was my savory crepe. Then picture chocolate-covered strawberries wrapped in another 'breakfast tortilla' with whipped cream on the side. Too darn tasty, hazardous to your health/waistline! A friend and I were exploring Uptown Richland since I'm new to the area and in between thrift stores, we got hungry and happened to walk by this place. The group of ladies eating on the picnic tables outside saw us hovering by the door and insisted that we wouldn't be disappointed. Well, we weren't! I heard about this place from my dental higenest at my dental appt on Friday. I took my wife and daughter Saturday night. They are crepe lovers. I was just out for something sweet. I had the chocolate-raspberry crepe with a decaf americano and my S.O. had the nutella-strawberry crepe with a macchiato. Everything was very tasty. Great atmosphere, loved the lighting (tons of exposed edison lamps instead of the boring can lights most places have; gave everything a nice warm, diffuse glow). Place was absolutely spotless. I've been to a lot of creperies in big cities such as Denver, Seattle and NYC. Hands down Kagen's Crepes are on par if not better than the highly rated places I've been. Good selection of flavors as well as a different crepe of the month (this month is gyros, which is delicious!) And it doesn't just stop at crepes; I'm a bit of a coffee nut and their coffee is also fantastic. Handmade syrups as well as freshly roasted quality coffee (comes from Folklore which is a fantastic roaster and coffee shop in Montana, I buy my own beans from Kagens just because they're so good). You really, really cannot go wrong here. To top it all off, it's freakin' local! Kagen's got a great thing going here. Keep it up. read more
