The number of shots should change with the size of the cup. If 8 oz =1 then 12oz should =2 and 16oz=3. My 16oz just tastes like really hot whole milk with a little coffee because there's only 2 shots. Not impressed. I know they want you to pay more money for more shots but just doesn't make sense. They should focus on quality over $$$. Still searching for good coffee in the Tri-Cities area. read more

This is a decent coffee spot for the Tri-cities! Non-chain shops with quality beans are hard to come by. Beans are locally roasted. They were decent. I ordered an iced lavender latte and it was yummy! Casual location with friendly staff and lots of seating. read more

I like to support locally owned businesses and this one has received high stars.‍‍ It's a cute little coffee shop and there were several tables full of customers. I ordered one item that was in the display case that was not available... It was suggested that I get another item (not in the display case)‍‍ My coffee order was for a simple latte and the employee gladly took my order. Then the barista came to tell her that they don't even stock that flavor. When there are too many misteps in a short time. I quickly lose trust in the order I receive. So glad to see that the Barracuda team is back! The place was always one of my top espresso locations anywhere until Ahava took it over and dumped some of the crew. I found the Ahava craft to be...forgettable. I had written it off my list of go-to places until I drove by and saw the 'cuda banner! I realize that Barracuda had been purchasing Ahava coffee for some time, so I can't explain why the Ahava-prepared drink left me underwhelmed. It was my husband's birthday and we decided to try a new place. Been driving by this place alot and parking lot is always full. Great coffee place. I had the black/white coffee which was white and dark chocolate. It was really good. My husband had hot vanilla latte and he said way better than Sta***cks! This is the best espresso place in town. Used to stop here daily on my way to work, even though it was out of my way. But, 4 stars because they won't even sell me a puppy whip. I have an 8 year old crippled dog who lives for her puppy whip. I stop and get coffee now for the sole purpose of getting her her whip. I wanted to pay for a cup of whip cream, and they said no! they make their own, which means it's better for my dog and I would PAY for it - but no. Haven't stopped here in months, now I get inferior coffee for me, so my crippled dog can get her one joy in life. Unlike so many other java purveyors in town (e.g., Roasters, Lil Firehouse, sorry... gotta call y'all out!), these guys serve plain ol' coffee in addition to all the fancy stuff. Found this place Saw the la marzocco in the pics and good reviews Dude with a mustache was friendly (pretty much every one outside of my home town of Los Angeles is nice) What's with all these kids growing mustaches these days? Magnum PI wasn't that cool when it came out. Or was it Rick Simon from Simon and Simon? Got a large vanilla latte and it was excellent, good roast good shots. This shop is close to my sons preschool. When the toddler falls asleep in the car while running errands, I go here and get a caramel foo-sel, then go sit at the school to wait for him. I wanted to love this place soooo much that I tried it twice. Both times I had absolutely amazing service. But unfortunately drinks here were just not even really good. First time we went, I tried the white angel and was super disappointed with how watered down the drink was, it wasn't even too sweet just watery. My husband had a half sweet black/white and it was overly sweetened. We both enjoy the taste of coffee and this one didn't hit it. The second time there was an afternoon visit I really enjoy black tea and generally get it unsweetened as many stands usually have their own "brew" so I had gotten that. It literally tasted like Lipton iced tea bags . My husband had gotten the peach strawberry Red Bull and it was the first decent drink we had there but he's a real red Bull buff so it doesn't take much there. Again great service, that alone was a 5 out of 5 stars While the drinks fell short to a 1 out of 5 stars for us. read more

After I wrote a review on Roaster's Coffee in Richland earlier this year, I received a note from the owner of Barracuda Coffee asking me to come try Barracuda's coffee. So I checked out Barracuda today, not only because of the owner's note, but also because of the stratospheric ratings that Barracuda has received in Yelp reviews. In addition, I was also encouraged by the Yelp photos of cool designs on top of their drinks. So I'm perplexed. I ordered a mocha. The girl who made my drink, while nice enough, set my made-up drink on the counter with the lid already on top. Just like at Roaster's Coffee. That's a no-no. What was she hiding? I lifted the lid to find some emulsified drink, without any design on top) , just slopped together. A major disappointment. Hmmm, perhaps because it was close to closing time, the girl felt she could cut a few corners to quickly get out of there? How did my mocha taste? On first sip, it tasted like hops! No, I wasn't mistakenly at the Uptown Tavern. The hop flavor waned as I drank more and then I could finally taste the chocolate. But overall, my mocha was too sweet and not that good. I know this stings to say, but if I am in Richland, I gotta recommend Starbucks. Jake, you gave me a bum tip. read more

Chai, I love chai and typically hit a chain place. But this place has the perfect iced chai. Doesn't taste watery or chalky and has just the right amount of sweet. Barracuda is close to our office in Richland and has a cool vibe. The staff are pretty cool and patient. Everyone who works here is beyond cheerful and I live for it! The vibe is SO GOOD and the coffee is even better. It's such a cool place to just sit down, relax, and sip a latte if you have time. If you don't have time, they have a drive through and they are faster than Starbucks. I love supporting local businesses, and this one is definitely worth supporting! Also, they give my puppy dog treats when I bring him through the drive through. It is the cutest little touch. Local Yo! Barracuda is now sporting a vast array of locally made baked goods from Mattawa's own The Sisters Patisserie. When I received news of this new pairing (via Barracuda's Facebook Page), I had to go. Their coffee has always been excellent, but their snack offerings were in need of improvements. In one fell swoop, Barracuda has acquired some slammin' treats (I picked up a macaroon & a blueberry tart), and are keepin' it local. I talked to Jake (owner) about it, and he mentioned heeding advice from some Barracuda regulars who had had some Sisters Patisserie baked pieces of art, and Jake jumped on it.
