Everything here was amazing. The Headliner was incredible--literally tasted like drinking a snickerdoodle cookie. I also tried the Scriptwriter, which was just as good. The toasts were fantastic, especially the bacon avocado, and now I'm already planning to come back to try the banana, strawberry, Nutella toast. Such a fun, creative menu with really high-quality flavors. Definitely a place I'll be back to!

Love the new larger location - aesthetically decorated and perfect for catching up with friends! Impressed by their soft and chewy boba with taro milk tea and also enjoyed their blank page coffee drink.

I have been going to Novel daily for couple weeks now. I am just upset that I have been in the Richland for a while and I just discovered it! The ambience at this place is quaint and relaxing. I really love the decor and the feel good atmosphere. The coffee is strong and delicious. You can tell they put effort into their craft. I had a couple of food items from their menu and they were tasty as well.

Amazing holiday decor!

Such a comforting place with all the right components, starting with the service was amazing and thoughtful about choosing something new. The decor base is so creative and we went during the holidays so it was kicked up making it fun with associated music. The coffee cake with cardamom hit different, all in amazing joint!!!

What a great find! Easy walk from our hotel (The Lodge) along the Columbia River & rewarded with this gem coffee shop. Great vibe, friendly service & tasty treats/coffee. Highly recommend it!

Such a cool set up

Stumbled across this cute coffee place and glad I did. Such a cute deco, yes, like the name everything is themed around books. Awesome interior design and well thought out. It's small but there are seats for everyone. You can to go or sit and enjoy your beverages. There was a line and when we walked in we heard a voice, welcome we won't be long! I was surprised with how many people in line the server made a point to greet us. Two lovely cheery ladies happily greeted to take our orders. One was in training so she kept apologizing for her coffee art work, which was fine . Lattes were good and in a good size mugs. We also had the avocado toast which did not disappoint. With how busy this place is, it was so clean and well maintained. Loved everything about this place and the service exceeded.

Greek toast

First impression is adorable! The cutest ambiance and style and so many photo worthy design elements. Service at the counter was quick. The menu has pictures of the toasts and bowls which was cool. Coffee came out quick and food took a little while. We both enjoyed our meals which were also photo worthy. The Greek toast was delicious; pickled onion was crunchy and zesty, but the toast was not very toasted (if at all?) and it was a bit hard to cut through. They put a cute paper down between the toast and the food but it got soggy and ripped with the knife. If you get concerned about accidentally eating paper just be forewarned-lol! I wasn't, rather it was more of a minor inconvenience. A large party with children came in and it got really loud for a bit. Novel may look into sound abatement features for their next upgrade. Coffee was good! Started with an Americano and ended with a cold brew- both were excellent. Overall was pleased and would go back to try more toast flavors!

Chocolate milk and toast

It's really pretty inside I like the aesthetic. Ordered a novel coffee today, it tasted like chocolate milk. The two barista's were arguing the whole time we were there and mixing up orders My order was actually forgotten and we had to remind them. It is very pricey for the quality of coffee and food

The cutest walk in coffee shop, the avocado toast is always a good idea! Pumpkin Typewriter is SO GOOD! Especially in fall. The regular one is just as good. Good spot to sit down, do some work or meet up with friends! 5 stars would recommend!

Milk Tea Boba.

Very cute coffee shop that definitely has their aesthetics done right! Loved the book page wall detail that fits their brand and namesake. Overall, here is what I ordered: MILK TEA BOBA: I ordered this drink iced and half sweet. Their boba quality was okay texture-wise, but they tended to clump up which made it difficult to drink through the straw a few times (kept on getting stuck). I also ordered this half sweet and the tea quality tasted diluted. Overall, this was a miss from me for both the tea and boba as I have had a ton of boba from various places. THE NUTCRACKER: This was one of their holiday specials, which I ordered hot and half sweet. This drink comes with toffee nut, sea salt, caramel, and espresso. LOVED this so much and would totally get this again! PARKING: Free in the lot its located.

I have done fairly well getting myself into a better, healthier version of myself and have proudly slain many of my former bad habits. I was rockin' along at a great pace.... and then my friend introduced me to the Espresso Shake from the Coffee Bean. Ice-cream has been my arch enemy since I was old enough to sneak a quick toddler tongue slurp off my Mum's cone when I was but a wee lass. That was the day I met my nemisis. *dramatic fist shake* Yes, my kryptonite is sweet innocent ice-cream. Lord have Mercy these shakes are so good! I just get the regular version without added flavoring. Apparently you can be transported to heaven by adding caramel, white chocolate, or some other flavor combination. I have a healthy fear of taking my new addiction any farther down the already scary road it's on without needing to add fodder to that flame. Right now I allow myself one shake MAYBE every two weeks because if I imbibe on that sweet dessert drink (do they add crack??!?!) any more than that I have a distinct feeling my friends would eventually find me curled up in a ball under the counter spying the baristas secret process so I can make them myself at home. Since I'm pretty sure none of my friends have enough money on hand to bail me out of jail, I plan to keep my interactions with the Coffee Bean on the up-and-up! Truth be told I have not tried any other drinks on their menu but I have it on good authority that they are as good and probably somewhat less lethal to a dieter. Currently it's too cold to sit outside whenever I go through the drive-thru but soon enough this spring/summer I look forward to chillin' there with my kryptonite in hand as I watch the entertaining citizens of Richland meander by.

What a gem! The drinks aren't too sweet, the snacks are handmade, and the service is delightful…read more For Halloween, they were totally kitted out. It's a drive-thru coffee stand more than an eatery (there's a little outdoor seating) but worth a visit.

We stumbled onto this place, they had really good reviews, and it was nice and close to our hotel. Upon walking in the door, the people working there were very friendly and greeted us immediately. We took a moment to see what they had, understand what the options were, and decided on a cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting, and a breakfast sandwich along with a drip coffee. The cinnamon roll was our appetizer, and I'm glad that we shared it, it was cooked very nicely and tasted really good. Once we got the egg sandwich, we cut it in half, and shared it, and that was the right amount of food for a late breakfast snack. The breakfast sandwich was really good as well. We did ask for a refill on the coffee and they did offer it to us without a charge. A nice plus This was a Saturday morning, and it was kind of busy in the place, but it was nice and quiet and able to have a conversation. I would definitely go back, the food, the service, the cleanliness, we're all pluses.
