This company has degenerates driving for them. While going 20mph in a neighborhood I was being tailgated by car number 52 while they continued to lay on the horn the entire drive through farmington hills in south bend. As we proceeded to turn onto a 2 lane street this driver cuts me off while almost ramming into the side of my vehicle. As I called to complain about this reckless cab driver I am cursed out in spanish. This is why companies like uber are leading the way. read more

I took a cab to the airport and it was great. The dispatch and driver were very professional. The driver called the night before to confirm our appointment and then called again once he was close to our house. He arrived on time. This cab company is oddly inconsistent. Usually, they are great; I've called them for early morning airport rides and they show up early, in good humor, and nothing but helpful and professional. However, I've also had one or two experiences where I've had a very confusing conversation with the dispatcher, and then a really long wait--just now, it was close to an hour, and when I called (about half an hour in) the dispatch just told me the cab was "on their way." I have used Yellow Cab in Michigan City for awhile. Pat is my preferred driver. I called today on August 22 at 5:30 pm to get a ride and was told it would be a twenty five minute wait again...sigh. The last three times I took the cab it was the same thing, however when the cabbie got there, I was told that they had just been sitting in a lot somewhere waiting for dispatch to call them. As I tried to explain this to the dispatcher she got an attitude telling me she knows how to do her job. Evidently by the way she was treating me. She began to get more upset the more I tried to communicate with her. She ended up swearing and hanging up on me. Wow I cannot say how underwhelmed I am at the thought of using this cab service ever again. I will miss Pat and Tom but not enough to give any money to a business that treats its customers like crap. I called Yellow Cab well in advance to schedule a ride to the airport. The cab showed up half an hour early and called me while I was still getting ready. I said that I'd be ready at the time I called for, and the cab driver replied saying he might not be able to make that as he was going to go make his next pick up. I was ready to go at the time I had called for, and called back and they said they couldn't make it. I ended up driving to the airport to make my flight. It is bad business to not pick someone up at the scheduled time, particularly for airport transportation. My wife and I took a cab from downtown to the airport at about 2 PM the Sunday after a game. It costs us 51.50 plus the tip. Since I had just taken a Checker cab that was less than half that on Thursday, I was surprised at the charge. The person was on time and that was great but we were told they charged "game rates" til Sunday late afternoon. Just a total rip off! Call Checker Cab, it's cheaper! I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. This was ridiculous. I called early to get a cab for 2:15pm for my husband to get to work (having car issues), and the cab company called me to reschedule for 1:50pm, which was fine with me. So obviously, they had my number. I didn't hear a word from them and so I called at 2:10 to ask where the cab was. I was then told that the cab driver had called my phone multiple times and left multiple messages, and that even one time they had called, someone answered and said something about going to the movies. I had my phone the entire time and no one called, and certainly no one said anything about the movies--my husband and I were the only ones here! When I told them they must have called the wrong number, they were certain they had not. When I asked about getting another cab, I was told no and that all the cabs had been dispatched. No apologies, no attempt to make it right, and not even an acceptance that they had done something wrong. In fact, there was NO attempt made on even getting me another cab! read more

Yellow Cab should also have more taxis driving through out the streets of downtown South Bend Indiana. I called to set up a cab for some hotel guests. The driver apparently answers the phone and said that he would be there. He showed up when he said he would, but had another guest in the cab. I told the driver that one of the people went to use the restroom, and the driver told me he did not have time to wait and took off. I tried calling back and the same driver answered and his first word was "What?" I told him no need to be rude and he hung up on me. I will never use this company for personal or business. read more

Twice I have shared a cab from the airport to Notre Dame main campus, and it is supposed to be a $15 flat rate, but BOTH times, he demanded $15 from each person in the car.
