Wait, what? 21 year-old frat boy gossip aside, I immediately shut down Mike's attempt to catty gossip about his other passengers with me, as I was completely not interested. Not only that, but that's just ridiculously unprofessional x 10. But since there aren't too many ways to top that type of unprofessionalism, Mike somehow did find a way by sending me a text message that reads, "Wanna chill, lmk ur cute" after he dropped me off! * sigh * I am assuming that his text was meant to read "If you want to chill, let me know, [I think that] you are cute," because I am not adept at interpreting high school text message shorthand, so I had to read the message several times in order to figure out exactly what it was that he was trying to convey, as I had no idea what "hmu" was at the time and had to try to figure it out. I live in New York City where taxi drivers are a dime a dozen and they are 100% about their business. No one has time to hit on random passengers, if it's not about money it's not worth their time. I asked to use the other bus and they said that was broken. Apparently they canceled on us to give our bus to the other group. We had been planning the bus service with them for 4 months. We had a finalized contract and kept calling to make payment when the General Manager Karissa Adams left a voicemail we were canceled. I called back for an explanation and not even a small apology was offer. Our group of 30 was left standed. Fortunately we found First Student Charter School Bus. Yes, it's a school bus. And it was wonderful. Driver was polite, on time, and had decorated bus for us. We were permitted to have drinks and snacks on the ride. It was reliable, on time, half the price and they provide transportation for all type events including weddings. Driver was lovely.
