He picked up the phone on a Saturday and all but assured me that this would be possible. His only request is that I call back within 7 days of the needed transportation and that I pay for the cost of the tripo from his base in Keene to the small town and then onto Fitchburg. The price he quoted seemed fair, as he will then have to drive all the way back to Keene. He will also let me pay over the phone so that helps my friend out a lot.

I asked to use the other bus and they said that was broken. Apparently they canceled on us to give our bus to the other group. We had been planning the bus service with them for 4 months. We had a finalized contract and kept calling to make payment when the General Manager Karissa Adams left a voicemail we were canceled. I called back for an explanation and not even a small apology was offer. Our group of 30 was left standed. Fortunately we found First Student Charter School Bus. Yes, it's a school bus. And it was wonderful. Driver was polite, on time, and had decorated bus for us. We were permitted to have drinks and snacks on the ride. It was reliable, on time, half the price and they provide transportation for all type events including weddings. Driver was lovely.

We had booked the Hummer limo, but a few days before the trip Jovanna called to let me know the Hummer's AC was not working and the replacement part wouldn't be in before our trip. They offered to upgrade to the Excalibur for us. It was a bit smaller, but BOY did we turn heads going down the highway in that beauty!! It's not brand new (there are the spots for ashtrays in the doors! ha!) but in good condition and definitely made us feel special. Our driver Chris was great, arrived on time (a little early even). Once we were out and having a good time, we opted to stay an extra hour (there is a fee for this, but totally reasonable) and Chris was super chill about it.

We reserved the 56 passenger bus for our wedding. The day before our wedding at 10:25 am they let…read moreus know that was no longer an option (apparently due to their driver having Covid) and offered two 14- passengers busses instead. This clearly made us worried about the logistics as the new 28 persons volume was only half the original 56 persons capacity. Sure enough, the second bus arrived 12 minutes late to the ceremony start time at 5:00pm forcing us to push back the ceremony. In the subsequent correspondence with management, they refused to acknowledge this delay and instead told us they were only 1 minute late (arriving at 5:01 pm). However, I had time stamped photos of me waiting with my bridesmaids from later (5:05-5:10 pm) as evidence that in fact, no, they were not there by 5:01 pm as they falsely claimed. Moreover, management refused any means of reconciliatory compensation for the lower volume vehicle transport and the tardiness to the ceremony. Overall very unprofessional and would not recommended this business.

Six straight times now I've called for a ride only to be told "we're all booked up" or "everyone's at the airport," and to call back in a couple hours, maybe, possibly, but no guarantees even then. Which isn't the kicker. The real kicker was in the light dawning over Marblehead. So I called from another phone, claiming to be at a local hotel, and wanting a ride to the airport a half hour away. Well, NOW they had a cab available ... sure, for a huge fare. It's just local trips they don't want to provide. Not to mention that their name and claims to be "environmentally conscious" are just hogwash. Their cars are like any other, burn gasoline like any other, and if they were THAT environmentally conscious they'd be telling people to take the train or the bus to the airport instead. Nice frigging try.
