So I went over and tried to push pull and slam the gates to get them to close properly with no luck. They close fitted but the latch won't close so it can be pushed open without unlatching it on the parks interior side I didn't check all the gates just the two closest to small dog area, . How scary!! Come on Mayor Parris you got all these thought on how to cage up and ll ill of the homeless can you redirect some of that attention to the parks the taxpayers children utilize?

My dog is on the small side, so I take him to the small dog park, just next to the large dog park. There are always some larger dogs on the small dog side, but those pups tend to be afraid of the large dogs, so they socialize with the small pups. The park is clean, well-maintained, and they have poop shovels/bags ready when you need them. In addition, there is a playground for the children, a basketball area for the teens, restrooms, and plenty of parking. You will love it and so will your pup. Enjoy!

It's a lot roomier than the other fenced areas by the parking lot. We were having some problems with a stranger's dog in the "newer" park so we decided to walk our guys... low and behold this excellent discovery. It's a bit run down, could use some attention to the "lawn" but it's a great alternative if you have big dogs that need space to run. There's a section for small dogs, too.

Includes: A dirt trail around an open grassy field outside of a large fenced dog park. Dirt ground. Has a fenced area for small dogs and a separate fenced area for large dogs.These dog parks are adjacent to a playground area with lots of bench seating and bathrooms. This is divided by greenery. There is another small grassy area adjacent to the bench seating that is much further away from the fenced dog park area. What I like: This location is great to train and play with your dog without having to enter into the dog park. Great area to develop relationship and build focus with your dog in a distracting area. Grassy field is long enough to play ball with an energetic shepherd. This area is completely fenced in except for the drive entry and a small opening in the back where the dirt trail leads you into the neighborhood streets. Caution: there are spiky grass around the large electrical power line. My boy stepped on one and they got stuck to his fur as well. Not sure if it occurs year-round. Luckily the open area is large enough that you can avoid throwing a ball that far.

Very clean, waste bags for your dogs, please pick up after your dog. The pet parents are great too, everyone keeps an eye on their dog's, a great place to get some exercise in, play ball, run, chase, while the parents get great advice too. So, figured it was a sure thing. WOW! Was I ever disappointed! Full of poop all over the place (on the large dog side), weeds popping up everywhere except on the patch of Astro-Turf. In fact, despite our efforts to avoid stepping on poop piles, another gentleman and myself stepped into it. Smelly! The refuse cans were full and overflowing. People just leaving poo bags on top of them. I don't know if this sorry state-of-affairs is due to budget cuts or just sloppy maintenance???

One side for small dogs below 25lb and the other side for large dogs 25lb and above or 18 inches tall I believe. Around the dog park is also a play ground to the corner, there are also some public restrooms, and a large patch of grass area. There are plenty of poop bags around the park and lots of parking spaces both in the lot and on the street. After the dog park, I took my pup for a run around the neighborhood and there was a trail nearby but it got dark so I didn't explore it too much. Nicely paved roads all around the area if you want to take a stroll. The area is overall quiet and clean. The dog park gets pretty empty once the sun sets because there's not much light at the park and it gets a bit chilly so try to come before then. I came here at least 3 times and of all those times, this place is packed with lovely fur babies! Overall, great dog park.

Initially, I was hesitant about taking our pugs to a dog park, but I mellowed out after the first visit. We had zero issues on this visit, and it seemed people were good about controlling their dogs and picking up after them. Our pups had a blast running around and playing with the other dogs. On a second visit, a male arrived with a dog and walking it on-leash. At first, I wondered why the dog was on a leash because the rules indicate the dogs need to be off-leash. Several minutes later, the male removed the leash, and the dog began to charge other dogs including ours. Since the male had the dog on a leash, the male clearly knew his dog was aggressive. After making immediate suggestions to the male to secure his dog, there were no further problems. However, it was somewhat traumatic for one of our pugs that was attacked. Just a reminder that some dogs, regardless of size with irresponsible owners, can be aggressive.

It was very easy to rent and the team there is very friendly and helpful. It was $45 for one hour which was perfect. We felt safe and really enjoyed the boat, and the lake and all the views that came with it. I don't know why I didn't try this sooner since I've been coming up here a few years already. I will definitely make this a tradition every time I come up.

They have so much imaginative things for them. The theme looks like bugs, actually it looks like the Ant's life around here. I wish just three things for the park. 1. They put a water element in 2. They update the woodchuck playground to that soft compound for the kids, because they can't wear sandals as hot as it is with this kind of woodchuck they stick them in their toes 3. The parking from what I see is pretty far away from the park area if you're bringing multiple children or equipment is a Long Beach like walk! Lol Other than that if I lived near here, this would be the park of choice for. I don't think they have a designated dog park area, but it's a large enough park that you could walk your dogs. They have at least two baseball fields, two tennis courts looks like it might be two basketball courts and at least 2 to 4 different areas to play soccer a skate park a barbecue pit area.
