I recently came back to soak up some sun with my baby and really enjoyed it. The park is kept clean, there's plenty of shade, grills for picnics and barbecues, and even a playground for children. It's pretty perfect for families and pets alike. My only concern is that I've seen people let their dogs off leash outside the designated dog run. I know a lot of owners assume their dog would never run off or bite anyone, but they're still animals and should be kept leashed at all times for everyone's safety.

There are always some larger dogs on the small dog side, but those pups tend to be afraid of the large dogs, so they socialize with the small pups. The park is clean, well-maintained, and they have poop shovels/bags ready when you need them. In addition, there is a playground for the children, a basketball area for the teens, restrooms, and plenty of parking. You will love it and so will your pup. Enjoy!

This group of people just stared at us when we walked in despite us saying hi first. The experience felt uncomfortable and exclusive, plus the other owners seemed dismissive of their dogs' sometimes aggressive behaviors. Our dog laid on her back very submissive and the other owners just laughed it off. Unfortunate.

We were having some problems with a stranger's dog in the "newer" park so we decided to walk our guys... low and behold this excellent discovery. It's a bit run down, could use some attention to the "lawn" but it's a great alternative if you have big dogs that need space to run. There's a section for small dogs, too.

Has a fenced area for small dogs and a separate fenced area for large dogs.These dog parks are adjacent to a playground area with lots of bench seating and bathrooms. This is divided by greenery. There is another small grassy area adjacent to the bench seating that is much further away from the fenced dog park area. What I like: This location is great to train and play with your dog without having to enter into the dog park. Great area to develop relationship and build focus with your dog in a distracting area. Grassy field is long enough to play ball with an energetic shepherd. This area is completely fenced in except for the drive entry and a small opening in the back where the dirt trail leads you into the neighborhood streets. Caution: there are spiky grass around the large electrical power line. My boy stepped on one and they got stuck to his fur as well. Not sure if it occurs year-round. Luckily the open area is large enough that you can avoid throwing a ball that far.

So, figured it was a sure thing. WOW! Was I ever disappointed! Full of poop all over the place (on the large dog side), weeds popping up everywhere except on the patch of Astro-Turf. In fact, despite our efforts to avoid stepping on poop piles, another gentleman and myself stepped into it. Smelly! The refuse cans were full and overflowing. People just leaving poo bags on top of them. I don't know if this sorry state-of-affairs is due to budget cuts or just sloppy maintenance???

Large and small dog areas are separated. You never know what dogs you'll meet here but I do see the regulars as a handful of them bring out their chairs and socialize with each other while their dogs hang out. Overall people do say hi and talk about dogs, but other than that they leave you alone so it is pretty peaceful. The park is overall clean, but owners can definitely do a better job picking up after their dogs.

Lake Gregory Water Day…read more We made the most of our day at Lake Gregory! We tried the inflatable water park, paddle boarding, and a Duffy boat ride and each one was a different kind of fun! Paddle boarding More challenging than it looks, especially when you're trying to keep your balance, but so much fun once you get the hang of it. Duffy boat Definitely the relaxing part of the day! Cruising around the lake, enjoying the scenery, and taking in the beautiful Mountain View's Inflatable water park: The kids had a blast! Adults be prepared to work for it because the climbing and balancing are no joke! Overall, such a fun family day at Lake Gregory. Definitely recommend trying all three if you're visiting!

Unfortunately, this visit was incredibly disappointing. We reserved a cabana and arrived as soon as the lake opened, only to find guests setting up pop-up tents directly in front of the cabanas, completely obstructing our view of the lake. During our previous visits, tents were not permitted in this area--which is part of what made paying extra for a cabana worthwhile. I brought the issue to both the cabana hostess and the office. I explained that had we known pop-up tents would be allowed directly in front of us, we would have brought our own instead of spending the additional money on a cabana. The only solutions offered were to move or leave. I wasn't asking for a full refund--just a reasonable discount because the experience we paid for was clearly compromised--but the manager refused. To make matters worse, the wind later picked up and the tents began blowing around, creating the exact type of safety concern this policy should prevent. We've enjoyed this lake in the past, but the manager's poor handling of the situation and complete lack of customer service left us extremely disappointed. If you're considering paying extra for a cabana, I recommend confirming beforehand whether tents will be allowed to set up directly in front of it. Otherwise, the cabana may not be worth the additional cost.
