The first time I went to Ye Olde Falcon Pub, I sat outside in my car and pondered if I even wanted to walk in there. I don't know why, but it looked intimidating to me, at that time. But me being me, and I was determined to find out what this place was all about, I walked in. To my surprise, I walked into a place with a large bar, with friendly staff, and amiable crowd. They have a large selection of draft beer and a full bar. Unfortunately, the large selection of draft beer is mostly a front. Several of the beers are not available, and a couple of them that asked for, the bartender told me that i wouldn't want to drink those. She gave me a sample of them and they tasted like vinegar. But I didn't let that bother me. I am easy to please and I haven't met a beer I didn't like. Overall, I had a great time there, have been back there several times, and I look forward to going back there again. For the best ambiance, go there late on weekends. The Ye Olde Falcon Pub is still a favorite of mine and my family's for years. It's a great late night place to come eat dinner or a late night brew, open till 4am. What I love about this place is their food is good and they have a huge craft beer and domestic beer selection. And they pretty much have a full menu till really late at night. But the most epic part of all they have karaoke on Saturday night. My family and friends rocked that place out till late that night. Thanks will definitely be back again! read more

We walked in at 6:30PM (on a Monday, to be fair) and there was not a single soul in there besides us and the 2 employees. That being said, we received undivided service. The food was fairly good, but not enough to come back for. Overall, the experience was "okay". Also wanted to note that my bench seat was very well-worn. While being an unrelated cosmetic issue, things like that make me wonder if they're really caring for the place. read more

Should've read the reviews before coming here...also should've turned around as soon as we walked in and smelled the stench of dirty cleaning water... Decided to stay because we used to come to this bar many years ago and have fond memories with old friends here. That being said, we will not be coming in again. The ambiance is sad, very quiet for a Friday night. The service was very poor and inattentive. My husband and I sat at the bar and asked for a menu and were handed one menu to share. One menu?? We ordered a Blue Moon and a Miami Weiss on draft to start. The first sip of the Blue Moon was off and we quickly decided something was wrong with the beer. We ordered a Modelo on draft to replace the Blue Moon and it was also undrinkable. Something is definitely wrong with their beers on draft. Disgusting. The only thing that prevented this bar from getting 1 star was the food. Wings and the chicken pot pie were not bad. Their only saving grace. Overall, would not recommend. read more

We are eating next-door at the incredible sushi place, but they don't serve alcohol there so my sons and I popped in here just to grab a shot since it's football Sunday and we've been having a few cocktails in the day. The bartender was so cool, super helpful, and super excited to serve my 22-year-old son that's going to the Air Force his first shot of Rumple. We will be back and I will recommend. Been coming here for long time. This casual bar has very good selection of beers and they make great cocktails. Simple food menu. Its a true college bar by first sight and located near college campuses but its also a local pub of long time regulars. Nothing fancy inside at all but just a simple chill out relaxed bar. Be prepared to hunt for parking since on weekends the parking lot is tight. 4.5 stars here... read more

Wow this place has really gone down hill, it's actually quite sad because I have lots of fond memories from the early 2000's seems like ever since it sold it's just not the same, I hadn't been in years because I wasn't in the area but since moving back home we pop in every now and then. The bar smells it's run down the tap beer is garbage because the lines aren't clean and this has been a problem for a while had one of the worst hangovers from their draft many years ago .. anyway went last night super dead, Garrett is super sweet and should run for the hills the black dude made me throw my water out and made me put my 420 Benjamin away .. like dude this is a trash bar not a 5 star restaurant! Like really man you're gonna make me throw out my water that I literally had at the bar for like a hour before he said something .. The food is great here but I swear that every single time we go, there's an issue with the bill and feeling nickel and dimed. Most recently, on two separate visits, we were charged for a coke refill (seriously?!), charged for ordering 10 wings and 10 wings instead of the 20 we actually ordered (which are still $32! this made them about $36), charged for two sauces on the wings (even though one should have been included), and charged for mushrooms that were clearly BAD before being fried. We left about half on the plate but were told they wouldn't take them off because they were "consumed." The owner is nice (as always), and came by our table early on, but never came back to address any of these issues on either occasion - and not once did they fix the bill. It's one thing to have prices that are pretty high (and odd!) to begin with, but another to charge people for refills and spoiled food. I'm sure they could've checked the fresh mushrooms in the kitchen and realized they were going bad - irrespective of what we left behind on the plate. $15 isn't gonna break us but it sure doesn't make me want to return. read more

Great food and drinks! Highly recommend this local watering hole in Davie! Come see TAZ the bartender who makes a mean Margarita and such a great personality. Ambiance is Uber laid back and we will definitely be back. The signature dish we tried was the Fish & Chips was perfect with the malt vinegar and beef fries. I highly recommend the margarita on the rocks with Don Julio, so YUM! Wasn't a huge fan of the churrasco which was overcooked and too much lemon or vinegar. Wow this place was shockingly bad. Empty on a Saturday evening was the first red flag. Second was the overwhelming smell of cleaner -- so strong you practically could taste it. But then I ordered a draft beer that was undrinkable -- and that's a first for me. Noticed the rancid stench of the beer head before I even actually tasted it, which also tasted off in a "I'm going to get food poisoning" way. AND, to add insult to injury, it was served in a 10 oz highball glass rather than a pint glass -- and cost $9! Read the room Falcon Pub. And clean your taps. Oh and by the way there is absolute nothing UK-ish about this place. Go to Kings Head up the street instead. read more

I've gone to the Falcon Pub many a times years ago. It is your run of the mill college bar. The drinks are reasonably priced so I give them that. I think I paid about 8 bucks for a bourbon on the rocks. Not too shabby. I didn't get any food on my last trip so I don't want to comment on that. But from what I remember years ago, it was your typical bar food. The ambience inside is cozy with that mix of college bar and dive bar. If thats your thing then give this place a shot. So we really wanted to like this spot. Unfortunately, right off the bat upon opening our menu a dead cockroach fell out. It was dead so the wife and I agreed, give them a chance, lets see what the food taste like. Then my wife order a coffee for a quick wake up. It had been a long day. So the coffee arrives with an ant running across the side of the cup. Dinner arrives. Two Fish and chips. Which were very tasty, so thats the issue. Then I notice several more ants running across our table. Both my wife and I started having itchy legs, lol. You know how it is once you start seeing ants. lol., If you dont mind dealing with dead bugs and live ants, the food was pretty good. We came here for 1 last drink of the night and our regular bars were closed (probably dead due to previous night was Super Bowl). This was my husband's first time visiting and I visited several times in the past but not for at least 5 years. I remember it being super overpriced and it deterred me since there are other bars close by with good beers and cheap. We went inside and ordered drinks at the bar. I ordered pineapple cider and hubby ordered a beer. We left a card to keep the tab open and made our way outside. Karaoke was going on inside and we like to hear each other so we sat outside. It was kind of cool out and there was a ceiling fan above us, which made it cooler. We were probably the oldest people there. In fact, most of the kids didn't look over 21. Two different servers checked on us several times, which was great. We ordered a second round of the same drinks. It was getting late and we were talking about leaving when a physical fight broke out. Of course a crowd gathered and drama pursued and that was our sign to go. I have not witnessed a bar fight in years. Well, it has been years since I've been to amateur places. Anyway, we get our tab and it's $25! For 4 beers! I will never come here again. read more

The outside is presentable. Nice large canopy tent for outside dining for the cooler weather season. Indoors is welcoming, charming and bar like. Wooded bar is huge with seating. A few booths and tables for larger parties. Many drink specials and tons of draft beer options. Menu has lots of choices. My spouse chose the Shepard's pie. It was a very nice portion. Very tasty. I ordered the grilled cheese. Was not special or even that great. However they serve steak fries and those are my favorite. They were short staffed but the young lady and manager hustled to keep Everyone happy. Very clean inside. The fee customers inside were very pleasant. I've been coming here for the last 7-8 years and I'd have to say it's disappointing where this bar is going. The system that dispenses beer needs to be serviced. I've gotten vinegar tasting beer multiple times and at kinda warm temps. Also their prices have gone up exponentially so it's just not worth it anymore. I stopped at this spot cause a friend invited me. It's way out of my neighborhood so I wouldn't have ever found it otherwise. It's advertised as an Irish pub but when I drove up I was a little confused because there are large signs for shakes, wraps, sandwiches. However I noticed that there was a separate entrance for the pub. Upon entering I felt like I was in a real pub. It has dark wood millwork, dark green walls, beer signs everywhere and a nice array of beers on tap. Upon inspection, I found that they have a good selection of English beers and ciders along with a few local micro brews. I asked the bartender about drink specials and they had more than a few specials at very reasonable prices. I opted for a double Captain & come for $5....such a bargain. I was starving so I asked for a menu. They have a good variation of pub food, English fare and south Florida classics like grouper fingers. I thought that since I was in an English/ Irish pub I'd try one of their typical dishes. They offer Shepherds pie, Chicken pot pie and fish and chips. I asked the bartender and she emphatically suggested the fish and chips. For my 2nd drink I wanted a beer that would work well with the fish and chips so I went with a Fuller's ESB draft. I wish I could say that it was a perfect meal. It wasn't. The fish was oily, under seasoned and tasted like it came battered frozen. The chips we're obviously Sysco. I didn't even wanna finish it. To wash away the fish I chose a Magners on draft. My friends and I had a good time there, liked the ambience, service was very attentive but was not impressed by the food. When we got the check wasn't given an itemized check upon asking for one I saw why, we were charged an up charge for a "splash" of cranberry in a vodka rocks and an upcharge for mayonnaise and for a side of dressing.
