Falcon is a community staple! When you walk in, there could be music playing from all genres to the comedic karaoke sounds of people living out their fantasies of being rock stars/singers struggling to hit high notes. Falcon is it's own world, the bartenders are always laughing, smiling and joking. It's truly a great Pub! The food is always good and the drinks seem to be made out of love. Went here for a trivia night and it was a lot of fun. Normally the Pub is really dark lit and has loud music playing, but for trivia night they turn down the music and light up the inside. It's actually quite nice and not as dive-y as I originally thought. I'm taking away a star after tonight's experience because our waitress was consistently not bringing drinks and what we ordered to the table. There was no communication between the two girls that were waiting on us. They BOTH were delayed and we eventually ended up with the same drink coming at the same time. My friend had to ask for his drink 2-3 times PER drink that he ordered. It was annoying and frustrating. read more

Nothing like the pub I knew. Smelled horrible, staff seems comatose, unfriendly dirty and overall gross. Mirrors on the walls looked like someone spit all over them. Shame use to be a great pub. Wouldn't order food if my life depended on it. Decor looks like it did years ago, owner should do a check on this place. I've been coming to falcon pub for many year the service has gotten terrible now was there tonight at the bar and the and the bartender had a crappy attitude just being a D*** Was uncalled for I was told my food would be 20 minutes I didn't get it until an hour later at 30 minutes I asked how much longer he didn't respond let me check on it I politely asked him and his response was it usually takes 20 minutes I suggested that they should account for that if they see they are busy he looks at the window turns around and say 30 minutes I also think they have gotten new kitchen staff because honestly the wings are not good and we're burnt! read more

I love the falcon pub. It's imperfectly perfect. The drinks are strong and it's great people watching late night. Wings are huge and outstanding, Shepard's pie is incredible, and so is the fish and chips. It's what you want when you are looking for some good bar food and a stiff drink. As for the negative reviews, many mentioned that there was nowhere else open and it was late night, and they tried out Falcon pub one weekend. I can tell this, it's a college bar at night, and as such the antics will follow. Manager your expectations. If you don't want younger drunk patrons, go during the day, and not on a sat night. Just remember, it's a bar, not a church. Sit on the far side of the bar to the right with the regulars. Also stop being so soft. If you want your hand held and elevator music go to the cheese cake factory or another one of those corporate monsters, they will field your complaints. This was our second time here and our waitress informed us that they charge for refills. This has so many consequences that I will number them. 1- Next time we come to eat here, which we will, because the food is exceptional, we will not order soda. 2- Why not allow people who are ordering an individual meal to have free refills? I understand not wanting anyone sitting at the bar drinking Coke after Coke, but with a meal?! 3- A new customer walks in and as soon as they order a soda they are told that it does not include refills... you just lost a customer, because first impressions are everything! 4- If you still are not going to give free refills, you cannot charge $2.65 for a soda If you are coming to eat here the food and menu are great! My friend Nicole V. called me yesterday around 6pm, after I had just woken up from a much need post work, hangover nap, and her immediate comment was "Savanna, you know nothing good ever happens at Ye Olde Falcon" lol. Well she's right! Truth is, I used to come to Falcon all the time with that same Nicole, so she would be one to know lol. She used to be quite the regular and I used to join her for some late night drinks, afternoon drinks, even drinks when I had lost my voice and the bartenders were nice enough to make me a hot toddy (complete with some melted butter). Falcon is one of those weird places that draws both the younger Nova crowd, as well as some seasoned alcoholics, and the occasional Brit who is looking for a piece of home (I used to come here with my dad quite a bit for the fish and chips!). Anyways, fast forward to now. After some Linner (yes that's lunch/dinner) near by, a few of us wanted to keep the party going. We originally planned to check out a Hookah Bar, but after than didn't work out I suggested Falcon for our alcohol needs. We ordered our first round at the bar but were encouraged to take over a large table in the "party room" which worked out great as we were a decent sized group. Janice and Coley (did I make those names up) were happy to keep our fun going and dealt with our shenanigans quite well. On top of our drinks we ordered some of the appetizers meant for sharing - spinach dip, nachos, fried pickles etc, most of which was pretty average, but the fried pickles were probably the best I've ever had! Update: I tried the regular portion of Fish and Chips rather than the lunch portion, and if you like Fish and Chips, skip the lunch portion. The regular size is more expensive, but it is worth it. Have it with the malt vinegar. My lunch buddy and I made the return visit here, and we were both very pleased with our food. I am excited to now have a new delicious protein option for lunch. Her cheese steak looked fantastic also, and it must have been. She ate the whole thing, and I would have been lucky to get half way through that bad boy. read more

Had a really wonderful experience here. Met up with a small group of friends and our dogs. We were seated comfortably on the front patio. Water bowls and doggie treats were placed around all of our tables so that our furry children could enjoy the evening as well. Most of the people in our group were vegan and the restaurant went out of their way to accommodate us. We had piping hot veggie meatballs with marinara sauce, hot fresh french fries, and other delcious options. When I requested mustard, I was offered a choice of different types. We were also told by the owner that they have an open kitchen and can accommodate any vegan requests. They get frequent deliveries of fresh vegetables and can easily create a delicious meal. Although we sat outside were were treated with attentive service for ourselves and our pets. Even the doggie water bowls were kept filled with fresh water. There is a separate drink menu with a large variety of beers and cocktails. I am looking forward to coming back here soon. read more

This place has some of the best Fish & chips I've had in South Florida. The give three large pieces of batter fried cod with a ton of steak fries. Their clam chowder is not always the same but if they have the right cook it is as good as being in New England. It's creamy with lots of clams and potatoes. The decor is definately college dive themed. I don't mind but it is not the place to go on a date. Don't expect great service. The staff are too young to really give a care. It has been adequate but quality of the food makes up for that. read more

Falcon Pub is a great dive bar, without being divey. Maybe divey in a Davie way. It's particularly awesome if you like beer. Maybe I'll count the taps someday when I haven't been drinking, but it's gotta be at least 30. It's a great place to stop in, sit at the bar, and have a drink. Tip: you can taste a beer before buying a whole pint. Domestic beer is cheap, and craft beers will run you $5-$8. Food wise, I don't branch out a lot at Falcon Pub if I'm eating and drinking. Their fish and chips is a solid, well made dinner, but think the grouper fingers have better flavor and they're my go-to meal. Maybe I just like grouper better than cod. The Smoked fish dip is nice and fresh, served with veggies and crackers. Around Saint Patrick's Day, I always order the corned beef and cabbage, and gobble up every bite. And even though there were a bunch of TVs, it didn't interfere with the tunes which was a plus. As for the service, the wait staff was fast and friendly. GREAT FOOD - GREAT SERVICE - NICE PATRONS Ye' Olde' Falcon Pub completely missed the mark on honoring Queen Elizebeth II. I expected to stand in a line to get in, thinking they would have some specials honoring Her Majesty but there weren't any signs of that. When I mentioned it to our sweet waitress, Karina, she said that would have been a good idea and she would tell the owner. That was at least a week after Her death. I don't know why he wouldn't have signs out front advertising the English Pub atmosphere and some pints of beer specials. Our Fish and Chips were AWESOME...just as always! We've been going here for many years and we can't beat it. Fish is coated nicely and fried to perfection. Super tasty especially with the Malt Vinegar poured in! YUMMY! We got to know a table of couples that had been frequenting another fish and chips place nearby but they said it closed so they came to YOFP. Ah Ye Olde---places like you make me wish Yelp had half stars!! Interesting little place. I just went for drinking purposes and while the staff was friendly, it seemed like they were out of everything early on in the evening. Um, they were out of Bud Light.....on a Saturday night! Bud Light, really? Then tried to order some other drinks and they were out of a few beers in their huge selection of drafts. And that didn't sit well with this girl or the bartenders--it took forever to get any kind of drink and they seemed frazzled for the most part. Not sure if it was just a typical Saturday night in this place or what but I would be willing to go back again on a week night or to try their food. I came by on a Monday night with my friends because everything else in the area was closed. They were all shocked that I had never been here before and now I understand why. They have a really nice selection of beers, I was pleased to see that they carry the Lost Coast Tangerine Wheat, one of my favorites. The restaurant was clean and the staff was very pleasant. I came in to this bar to check it out. The bar was clean, as well, as the restrooms so I stayed. I sat at the bar and was promptly greeted by almost every bartender there. They have a large selection of draft beers as well as drinks. I couldn't decide right away so the bartender was very kind and let me think even though i took about 10 minutes to order a drink. I order a Shephard pie from the bartender. The wait time in the food was about average so I didn't mind. It was delicious and I was hungry so that helped too. I suggest caution if you order the Shephard Pie, blow on the food before eating it or you will burn your throat like I did. I came in on a Saturday night so it got busy a little while after I've been there for a while. The people that came into the bar was friendly and talkative. I try to become an regular because of the service I received. I enjoyed eating hereso I will be back. read more

Never going there again. The staff was friendly, but the food a drinks were very over priced. I ordered a margarita with don julio- I was charged $18 for what tasted like a pre made margarita mix. They charged me $11 for the margarita and an extra $7 for adding in the don julio. Also me not knowing it cost that much I ordered a total of 3 so I spent $54 dollars on margaritas that were at best just ok. Food was over priced as well and it was ok. Our bill came out to $117 which is ridiculous for mediocre margaritas and greasy food. read more

My parents have been coming to this pub for years as locals to the area for well over 30 years. This is the first time back in a little over a year and a half. Service was good enough - felt very attended to by the staff. Drink prices were cheaper than food prices which is absolutely outrageous. We ordered 2 appetizers, a kids meal, and one drink with a bill over $60. As well, I was asked to produce my credit card and leave it to "open a tab" even though we were also ordering food - this felt very weird to me. Must be clientele is typically untrustworthy or management does not trust their patrons, either way it was a bit of a turnoff. In all if you're looking for a quick drink, not a bad place to go. If you're looking for a late night bite you'd be better off going anywhere else - $16 for an appetizer order of onion rings is not worth the amount nor quality of product received. read more

This place sucks so much!! My friends go to the place all the time and I was excited to go. The service was soo slow and it took and hour to get our food. The waitress was more interested in flirting this guy then to help us. I have never left so upset in the entire life!! And after we left my friend left his phone. I gave them plenty of tries but I will not be back. The first time I went to the pub the food and service were both awesome and so were the prices. That very evening I went back and took out-of-town guest to show off the restaurant. The food was awful that night and the service was no better with the plates being delivered one by one, no one ate together and the whole dining experience was a disaster. The manager recognized the problems and comped our meal she also gave us a $50 gift card so we would come back to try again. About a week later my wife and I with our son again returned to the pub. The food was overcooked and just not pleasant, the service was also very slow on that day, we figured we were using the gift card so we could not really complain about our meal. Today I decided to stop in and use the last of the gift card to get some fish and chips for lunch. The fish and chips were wonderful, the service was also wonderful, BUT when the check came I noticed it was a little high not really a big deal but still wanted to find out what was going on. When I asked the waitress if she made a mistake by charging me for two iced teas she told me there were no free refills. On all my other visits the refills were free, I guess today was different for some reason, but that little two dollar and 50 Cent charge for my Second Ice-T bothers me a great deal. I paid the balance that was not covered by the gift card and left a nice tip, but I will not be back. Shit hole with a pack of shithead servers. Barely a dozen other customers, and over the course of 10-12 min 3 servers came up to ask what i wanted, and then all proceeded to tell me that someone else would help me. Seriously? Then they tried to get me to give them my credit card, like before i was even served my drink. Who the fuck does that? I've been in a million bars in my life and no one's ever had the stones to ask to keep my credit card. You are either accustomed to serving thieves or you don't trust paying customers. Either way, shame on you. Really? 8:30 on a Friday night, you only have less than a dozen customers, and you can't even serve them correctly.
