We had a lovely time here during our stop in Aldeburgh.
We were all certain we'd be able to get nice fresh fish and chips here, but they do not offer that dish. So temper your expectations accordingly.
Traditional old school pub at the sea. Most, if not all, dishes are seafood based (yes, please!). Decent draft and cocktail selection. Lovely outdoors area. Cozy, low-ceilings, and charming as heck.
Chilly service, but I have had way worse so I am not too upset about it. (Maybe it was because I am American, but I was with Brits so...might just be the way it is.)
I got a sort of chowder/stew situation that was creamy and decadent and delicious, as well as a salad, that was far bigger than I expected it to be, in order to get some veggies in my body.
I would certainly recommend a visit to Aldeburgh if you want to get to the rocky seaside (I wish I could have stayed longer!) and a meal at the Cross Keys will hit the spot! read more
