Stopped here for Sunday lunch after a long walk. Didn't arrive until 2pm but they were still serving, although they had ran out of the cod and chips which looked lovely as another couple were eating it and we all sneaked a peek. Choice of roasts was on the menu and we all had beef , which was fine and reasonably priced for this area of the country. The veg was good general pub fare, the beef itself was nothing special but ok. Pub was fairly lively with what seemed like locals but we all felt comfortable enough. The adnams and the White wine were good. Would pop in again no worries. A little later we heard them offer someone the fish and chips but we will give them the benefit of the doubt they could have got some more from one of the fishermen across the road:-) read more
