They were professional, clean, and clear about cost and scale of services they could offer. Also, they were very knowledge about the what considerations we should think about with an old home. They were able to close off our chimney, since we don't use it. No more serious drafts (I mean it's an old house, so drafts are common!), but so much better..and no unwanted furry visitors. They were very prompt in replying back to my web inquiry and scheduled a time for Joe to come out. Joe was really thorough in estimating what should be done and was nice to have. We ended up going with the full proposal since we realized that this was work that would last 15 years or so. (Tuckpointing our fronts and sides, and also repair of our front steps, recaulking). Diane from the office was very good at communicating from the outset , from what needed to get completed when , securing permits scheduling a final walk through,. The onsite crew was very diligent in getting the work done but also communicating to our neighbors and blowing off any residual dust). They also did a great job in cleanup , rinsing off anything after the work had cured/completed. Tuckpointing is certainly not a cheap project, but we have good foundational things on the outside now that will last through the rigors of a Chicago season. While their work is great, I thought the communication was above at the top of my experience with many contractors/vendors. I look forward to reaching back out to them in 2040 (if they're still doing this work then. :)

We had recently purchased a home that had a gas fireplace and had them out to inspect if it was safe to use. They provided us with a full inspection inside and out and took tons of photos. Once complete, they throughly described to us the state of our chimney and the recommendations they had to address the issues. They were patient with us as we asked questions and ensured we understood every detail. Due to a large crack going down the exterior of our chimney where water was entering, they advised a rebuild. They found us different types of bricks that were as close as possible to our existing and let us choose the one we liked the most. They came, setup their scaffolding while taking precautions for our surrounding AC units and landscaping and got to work. It took 3 days and each day Jorge would meet me once they were finished for the day and detail to me the work they completed and what was to follow the next day. They took extra steps to caulk the portions of chimney they didn't replace and spray the existing brick with a moisture repellent just to make sure the chimney was completely taken care of. Overall, they did an amazing job and cleaned up so well that I couldn't even tell they were there! If you're in the market for chimney work, look no further, this company is TOP

He went above and beyond expectation....So my wife and I recently had a mold issue due to a water leak in our bathroom so she's been extra vigilant in looking out for mold. Some of the 2x4's on the frame had these gray streaks on it and she was concerned - turns out it's nothing to worry about as it's just a natural effect of the wood (blue beetle pine). But Ken! He rebuilds the frame with unmarked wood anyway just so my wife would have not a single doubt. Incredible. He also cut out some of the baseboard he removed to give us a design idea we hadn't thought of which was to put it around the base of the fireplace. We initially were neutral to the idea but he cut them anyway and placed it so we could see what it looks like and we love it! We never would've done it this way if he hadn't suggested it. This becomes concerning because my wife does not trust the furnace's operation and safety.
