Dharmi is an extremely detail oriented planner who was always there at all hours via text message, email and phone call away to answer any of my questions and to provide me with the attention and assurance I needed to ensure everything would run smoothly and care free on the day of my wedding. My wedding day was absolutely perfect in every way and I could not have asked for anything more. She was amazing during the rehearsal the day before to get everyone in line and she's awesome with kids and got them (ages 3 and 5) to listen and understand their roles as ring bearer and flower girl. I highly recommend her to in trust her to guide and manage one of the most important days of your life!!

    Dealt with Evenings of Elegance in planning my wedding (for day-of coordination)…read more Wedding planners are usually hired in order to make the bride's life less stressful; however, Evenings of Elegance only made my life more stressful! Not a good listener, not very strong vendor relationships, and not very experienced. She was the only one of my vendors that I had any issues with, and she was also the only vendor that was hired exclusively to provide the service of being helpful to the bride! She was very sweet at first, and gave a nice pitch, but then when it came down to providing services to her client (me), she fell short. She didn't listen very well so vendor recs were off the mark; she kept trying to pitch me additional services, even when she wasn't doing what she was hired for well, and I hated feeling like she was just trying to squeeze more $ out of me; and she made it clear to me that my wedding and my business were not important to her (ie by not reaching out to my venue to learn about its layout, by not providing me a sample itinerary when i asked for it, by refusing to meet before my event to go over details, etc.). Compared to the services my other friends got from their planners, Evenings of Elegance seemed more concerned with their own image than my bridal experience. If you are looking for a wedding planner, there are a lot of them out there so I would suggest you keep looking - and don't get caught up by the hard sell (which is the mistake that I made). If you are at all detail oriented, have hopes of hosting a classy and upscale event, and/or are looking for a planner that will support you and make your life easier, I would recommend looking elsewhere. This planner cares more about marketing and sales than she does about following through and providing proper client service or doing the right thing for her clients. Pricing is seemingly low at first (before add'l fees are tacked on) - but I guess you get what you pay for.

Clara helped plan my son's first birthday from start to finish, and every step of the way she quelled any and all of my worries and anxieties. She helped me brainstorm for my decor, and came up with the most creative and adorable ideas. Her suggestions were always gentle and completely on point. She had the most incredible vendors to work with (balloons, cake, entertainment, bartending, food, decor) and executed my vision PERFECTLY. Best of all - she handled everything the day of with swift and ease so that I could truly enjoy myself. Clara is an absolute delight to work with; supportive, engaging, hard working, thoughtful, easy to talk to and always listens to exactly what you want/need. She will not sleep until she gets the job done perfectly (and trust me, she will). She was always thinking about my event and coming up with even better ways to do things that I would never have thought of myself. Not only did she plan the most fabulous party for me, but she has become a dear friend. She is truly a pleasure to work with. I will be using Clara for every single event I have to plan in the future. Don't hesitate to reach out to her - you will not regret it!!

From the very first meeting with Clara I knew I had found the right planner. She was detailed and asked insightful questions and wanted to get to know me and my fiance so she could give us exactly what we needed. It didn't feel like a transaction but like having coffee with a friend. I felt comfortable with her from the very beginning until saying goodbye to her the day of the wedding. If you are looking for a dedicated, detailed oriented planner, stop looking, you have found her.

    Jodie was a godsend!!!…read more My husband and I got married in early August. It was the best day of both of our lives and none of it would have been possible without Jodie @ Particular Planner. We were planning our wedding remotely, which we were initially nervous about, but once Jodie came into the picture, things were easier than we could've imagined. She met with our vendors, Facetimed us while she toured our venue (which we booked sight "unseen"!) and thought of every little detail before anyone else. On the day-of, she effortlessly wrangled all of our family and friends for photos, made sure things were set up correctly, and always checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Little did we know, the decision to work with Jodie was by far the BEST decision we made throughout the planning process. Jodie used her years of professional event planning and personal experience with her own wedding to ease the process for us and bring a new perspective to the decisions we had to make. Jodie was incredibly helpful working and negotiating with all of our vendors. She thought of things that we never would have thought to ask ourselves and always had our best interest at heart. The week of our wedding there was a major snow storm that brought on about a foot of snow. Our ceremony was to be in a tent with clear walls outside on a farm field. The week prior to our big day, we were running around like crazy people- picking up stuff here, dropping off stuff there... Just crazy. Jodie manned the entire tent rental installation as if it was her own tent, her own farm, and her own wedding. Extremely PROACTIVE! She worked with Parkins Tent Rentals and our venue, Lauxmont Farms, to have all snow removed so the ground could be ready for the tent installation and to make sure our guests would not be trekking through mud. There was no need to worry about the weather with Jodie on our team. Jodie's attention to detail, organizational skills, and thoroughness greatly exceeded our expectations. Our wedding was a destination with many DIY elements and moving parts. Everything was a la carte. We had over thirteen vendors that required coordination the day of our wedding. Prior to our wedding day, Jodie completely wrapped herself around the timeline, vendor roles, and our expectations to make our vision a reality. There was not one moment that prevented us from enjoying every minute of our special day with Jodie on board. Our dreams came true and we just cannot imagine our special day being as smooth and painless as it was without Jodie on our team.

    5 stars isn't enough!…read more Hiring GBH Aesthetics as my day-of coordinator was by far the best investment I made for my wedding. From start to finish, they were calm, organized, professional, and genuinely kind--exactly what every bride needs on her big day. They also created our sweetheart table and centerpieces, and everything looked beautiful. The décor was exactly what I envisioned--elegant, simple, and just the right size and style. Even my mom couldn't stop talking about how perfect it all was! What really stood out, though, was how smoothly everything ran. When delays came up at the church, they kept things on time and stress-free. Multiple vendors--even the photographer!--told me how much they loved working with GBH. I truly don't think the day would've gone as beautifully as it did without them. I'll be recommending GBH Aesthetics to every couple I know (especially for weddings coming up in November and March)!
