Stopped in the restaurant for a quick lunch! When I arrived I parked on the street. I walked into the plaza and found the food area where the restaurant was. I was greeted by one of the owners Damien. I ordered: Jerk Lemonade Coconut Shrimp Slider Jerk Chicken Slider Jerk Cheeseburger Slider Fried Chicken Slider French Fries Plaintain Sticks Jerk Ice Cream I never had jerk lemonade and ice cream and they did have a kick but not bad. I enjoyed the sliders the most especially the jerk chicken ones. I had a good experience

Had lunch at Yawdie and was plenty surprised. I went for the jerk and coconut shrimp chicken sandwich's, paired with a jerk lemonade. The jerk chicken was moist and flavored well. The coconut shrimp was cooked to perfection. What stood out to me moist was the jerk lemonade. Very unique and refreshing. Overall, customer service was welcoming. Highly recommended!

Aka the Jamaican shake shack. Yawdie Q is serving elevated Jamaican flavors in an American style. Located in the Flatbush Caribbean market. Their menu has something for everybody. I recommend the Jerk lemonade, fried plantains, and coconut shrimp slider. Besides that the food is really good and innovative. The space is decorated really nice to represent their Caribbean heritage and the service was on point. They do a good job at making you feel at home.

If you're looking for bold Caribbean flavors in a bite-sized form, Yawdie Q is the spot! They're serving up jerk chicken sliders, coconut shrimp sliders, and my personal favorite the fried plantain. Now, what I loved about the plantain is that even though it was battered, the breading didn't overpower its natural sweetness--it was the perfect balance of crispy and caramelized goodness! And don't sleep on the drinks! Their jerk lemonade is giving spicy margarita vibes with a Caribbean twist. The perfect way to cool down while still keeping the heat! If you're craving Caribbean with a creative twist, Yawdie Q is a must-try Check out more of my reviews on IG & TikTok @butteronaroll_

Amazing!!!! Must try. I loved the fries, they were so tasty and fresh. But absolutely changed my world with the jerk lemonade!! Lowkey wanting to go back to get a 6 pack to throw in my luggage and take back to my home state LOL! Would recommend.

The service was amazing. I went there for lunch and the food was so delicious. I love the sweet plantain fries and the jerk lemonade. You can really taste the spices. Will definitely visit again.

cool, niche spot, came on a humble hoping to get some Haitian food from Bunaan, competition next door told me they moved, told him he'd get the business than if his food was good (pause) I had the jerk chicken slider, and coconut shrimp slider also had for the VERY 1st time, didn't even know anyone made any type of juice with jerk (lemonade jerk) and YES ITS GOOD #willdefinatelybebacktosupport

Yawdie Q is located in an intimate food hall that has a nice selection of vendors. Yawdie has the most unique flavors of Caribbean dishes and drinks. The lemonade was delicious, it's a must try iMO. The shrimp slider was well seasoned giving it that island vibe. The gentleman working the register was extremely pleasant and helpful. Give this place a try if you are in the Brooklyn area.

Walked into the marketplace with my heart set on eating at the next store stop Bunnan, but Yawdie Q caught my foodie eye. They had no reviews so I've decided to be the first one! I ordered 3 sliders along side an order of fried jerk chicken w/ fries. My sliders were the 1) Cheeseburger slider 2) Coconut Shrimp 3) Fried Jerk Chicken Slider. [Fried Jerk Chicken Slider] Personally this particular slider didn't really taste like anything new to me and I wish it had more JERK flavor but it was still a decent slider nonetheless. [Coconut Shrimp Slider] I love shrimp! So this slider I really enjoyed, I wish they gave more shrimp and less slaw but the flavor of the shrimp was really good! I'd order it again. [Cheeseburger Slider] I can see someone enjoying this slider, but personally it was not my cup of tea. The bread was really soggy from the slaw and again so much slaw! It was taking away from the flavor of the burger, but the slider itself is a good concept, unfortunately I just did not like it. [Fried Jerk Chicken w/ fries] Bought this for someone, and was able to try the chicken, it was mutually agreed that the chicken was lacking in Jerk flavor and was stringy and dry, it left us trying to figure out if it was pork or chicken (it was chicken) but I am foodie to the core and I crave intense flavors this item just wasn't doing it for me. To conclude, my favorite item was definitely the coconut shrimp sliders. Yawdie Q has great potential, especially since they've gotten such good feedback and haven't been open for that long. I hope with this critique they can make some changes with certain items, but everything was enjoyable to eat at the end of the day. I would come here again if I happened to be in the area and craving this kind of food. Thank you to the gentleman that was helping us with our order and being very kind and fun to talk too!

And one of the greatest chefs I've ever had the pleasure to know. And I've known my share of cats who made their livings and their names in a kitchen. From the very first day I discovered Brancaccio's I felt a magic a connection that I knew would change my life, make my belly really f--kin' happy and set my soul a-dancin'. On that first day Joe and I talked about the great food of NY; most of it gone but not forgotten by those who were of the time. We both lamented the lose of the legendary Zito's bakery on Bleecker. I can't tell you how long it had been since I'd ran into someone who even remembered Zito's much less was intimate with the place. I knew I was home. This was well over a decade ago. I won't go into specific things on Joe's menu that are worth trying because quite literally... everything is amazing. It just is! Soul satisfying beyond my ability to do justice to. I'd also like to throw out as an example of the humanity of the joint and it's capt. Joe... Joe treats his employees with respect, R E S P E C T as Aretha belted, dignity and the aforementioned humanity which is beautiful and virtually non-existent these days as far as I can see... and you can taste it in his food. That's just a big-ass Right On! Finally I like to say two or three things: First that as I initially identified myself as "used to being a regular" as and this is by no means a boo-hoo thing simply a fact... I fell pretty ill for a while and am just now beginning my reentry into the world. And as a matter of fact during the recent drag of days for me a thought kept slamming into the walls of my head and that was that I couldn't wait to once again sink my teeth into Joe's food. Well that day is here and I'm salivating at the thought. "I'll take one of everything my man!" Secondly, understand I've never written anything like this... I'm actually down on the whole review culture. So if this sounds at all "over the top"... or written by a cousin who Joe owes money to, get that thought right out of your head. All of I said is sincere and one from the heart. And lastly an additional "oh yea baby" to Joe's taste in music.

Allow me to put it in perspective, this is gas station food on steroids. Located in Red Hook (and all it takes is to go outside and see you are in Red Hook), this nondescript bodega serves up one heck of a sandwich that will have you thinking, did I just eat that? This is not your ordinary New York bodega, this is the shop of General Ock, who sells various sandwiches in his renowned Ocky Way. So what is the Ocky Way? The Ocky Way is not just a sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and onions, it is also about presentation and style. The sandwich is made loudly with a flair for the dramatic, from the time your food hits the flat top to when it is center cut and put in a clamshell container. What about the food? It really is pretty good! I got the Chopped Cheese the Ocky Way and it was something I really enjoyed. I recommend you get it with the Jamaican Patty as that is what makes the flavors work best. You can also do it with a waffle or pancake or whatever bread you like. All you have to do is scarf it down. You can also put your own toppings on your sandwich if you want for an extra premium à la Farmer in the Deli style. Farmer in the Deli is another well known bodega in Fort Greene, known for finely chopping their meat into a sandwich, one I highly recommend as well. Even after writing this review, I still cannot believe what I ate here. Before I finish this review, I have to say one more thing. Neva neva neva forget to get a drink with your order!
