We have used several LPG suppliers in the last 20 years and most have been purchased by out of the area or overseas investors but Yavapai Bottle Gas is still a local supplier and if we wanted to we could easily call the owners , not like those other guys company. I've been nothing but happy with YBG. They monitor my tank, and when it's between 40 and (more usually) 30% full they come out and fill it (but only to about 93%, generally, to allow for thermal expansion. The will not drive out to fill the tank until the tank is empty enough to make it worth the trip, and that's perfectly reasonable. I've also signed up for their summer pre-buy program, that lets you pre-buy at summer (lower) rates and use that gas for winter fills when the rates are otherwise higher. They do not leave a receipt when they come, but I receive one in the mail a few days later detailing how much they filled and how many gallons of pre-buy I have left to use. Whenever I call or contact them, they are friendly and accommodating. Drivers always professional and friendly when I see them. read more

I had hoped to have a long relationship with YBG, but it was not to be. Purchased pre-buy by a contract THEY wrote. They refused to honor their contract. Would not leave a delivery receipt. I had to call the state department of weights and measures. Shorted every delivery of propane. Other propane companies may sell at a higher price, but at least they are honest. I will not use, nor recommend Yavapai Bottle Gas again. read more

I have read many of the negative ratings of Yavapai Bottle Gas, but have not had such experiences. They have performed really well for the 3 years we have used them. I did have a glitch when we first signed up, and the woman I spoke with was not very friendly, but since then they have been spot on. Now, for those who have said they are done with Yavapai and suggest others go elsewhere: Do not ever go to AmeriGas (they bought Flame Propane). Their propane prices are way higher than Yavapai's , they do not ever deliver gas in a timely fashion, and they are terribly disorganized in the office. They are the WORST. There was another company in the Wickenburg Area, but they were headed for Bankruptcy. read more

Where do I begin? Let's see. My family moved into our house in June, 2024. In August, 2024, I set up an account with these guys using a $600 LIHEAP grant from the State of Arizona. Nikki, and that other broad they have answering the phone, are so rude. She neglected to mention a supposed $100 fee for installing the tank, citing a supposed "wash" by my fence. I called back and complained about that, and she admitted she didn't tell me about it. That fee was later waived. The two drivers, one was great, the other was a complete chode. "Get this, her account is PREPAID!" All snide like. Then he denied saying it. I let it go. I filled out their pre-buy agreement. They never did "keep the tank full," despite that being one of their own promises. They never did tell me that they don't put meters on the tanks, without a credit application on file. They never told me that there was a minimum amount to purchase (50 gallons); I figured I could put $100 on the account and they come put however much $100 is. Nope. They never told me my supposed fill date; I was on the phone with them ON MY FILL DATE, but they insisted on a $75 "offer up" fee to come fill my tank because I didn't schedule it a week in advance. Little hard to do that when there's no meter on the tank! Final straw was when they finally did show up, they insisted on checking for leaks again. I use a 55-year-old stove. It has standing pilots. These idiots insist there's a leak, when I told them after the first time that THERE IS NO LEAK. Said it was "the law" that they had to come in and check. If they could've proven which supposed "law" they were trying to enforce, I would've eaten crow, apologized, and let them in. Because I dared to question them, they put a lock on the tank, and took the regulator and hoses. Told them they had 3 days to come get their shit. They did that this morning. I am now waiting on reimbursement for the gas I paid for and couldn't use, and a prorated refund for the tank rental I paid for. I've filed a chargeback through my bank, and left a BBB complaint. I've left reviews here and on Google. I am willing to escalate this to the state attorney general if need be, and go as far up the chain as I can. I've also started the process of setting up with AmeriGas who, in addition to much lower rates and fees, was appalled when I described everything I've put here. Stay FAR away. Your money is better spent elsewhere. read more

We bought a house in Wickenburg about six months ago. The previous owners had used a different propane company for the 250 tank. I called that company and switched service and requested the tanks be filled. They came and did a safety check but never filled the tanks. After many hours on the phone with them and scheduled appts, the tanks still hadn't been filled 6 months later. Talked to my neighbors and they all recommended yavapai. I gave them a call on a Monday morning, they answered right away, were very pleasant and helpful. They had a driver out two days later with a tank. He was very nice and skilled at maneuvering his truck into a cramped space. He was able to move the other propane co tank out of the way and set yavapai's. He checked everything out. The propane delivery driver arrived about an hour later and topped off the tank. So refreshing!!! I highly recommend yavapai bottle co for your propane needs!! read more

I was with them for over 9 years. Just told them to come get their tank. They waited until I ordered propane this December like I always do in December to let me know that I can no longer post pay instead of when I paid off the last load and my rental this past summer. Had they let me know then when it was possible for me to add a little money to my account every month for a delivery I would not be angry but now I am in an impossible position and have to winterize my house, find someone to take my birds and live in one room with no running water or gas to heat and cook. read more

We have used Yavapai Bottle Gas for nearly four years. Their outstanding customer service started on day one with us. We purchased a home in Cordes Lakes and despite the fact that everything had been taken care of during the closing on the home, the seller contacted Yavapai Bottle Gas and had the tank disconnected. It was a Sunday when we went to the house (in February) to start painting and it was freezing. We called Yavapai Bottle Gas fully expecting to have to wait until Monday. Nope, the owner himself came out, reconnected the line, lit the pilot for us and provided us with contact info for another business to evaluate the gas fireplace. Ran out of propane this time last year because the gauge on the tank does not work. We asked that it be replaced. It wasn't. Ran out again yesterday while cooking. Called and they want to charge us $200 to come out on Sunday. This could of been prevented if they would of repair or replaced the gauge a year ago. Now they tell me I have to wait 5 days for delivery. This is unacceptable. Taking our business elsewhere. read more

I wanted to give this company zero stars, however you cannot post unless you at least give them one star. I have found far fewer companies that are as dishonest and unprofessional as Yavapi Gas. I understand that gas prices rise and fall, however this company raises their gas prices to astronomical proportions. It's despicable. And as far as service goes, the delivery driver was dishonest, unprofessional, unfriendly, and bordering on aggressive. He knocked over my trash can and one of my potted plants, and left them where they lie, never making any attempt to pick them up whatsoever. My suggestion to anyone who might be considering using this company, is to extinguish the thought and move on to someone else. Used them to refill my propane tank previously with no issues. Then when I had it refilled again the delivery person said there was a problem with a valve on my tank and tagged it saying it needed to be serviced. So this year when I called to have the tank refilled again they would not refill it without replacing 2 parts that the delivery person said was broken. I was told that it would cost around $400 and that the tank would need to be empty. Since we really needed the tank filled to heat our pool I agreed to empty what was left in the tank and schedule a service guy from their company to come out prior to having it filled. The service person that came out was very knowledgable and after inspecting the tank said there is nothing wrong with the valves and no repair was needed. So now I wasted gas draining the tank for nothing. We called Yavapai Gas to complain about the wasted gas and misdiagnosed valve issue and we're treated very rudely by the person in charge of service named Nicki. She denied telling me that the tank needed to be empty and was not interested in hearing anything we had to say. Needless to say you should not treat your customers like that as there are plenty of options for buying propane. We will not be using this company again. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service! Absolutely terrible the way the office lady speaks to customers. The billing lady failed to put in correct updated info into their system. She sent a driver out to lock the tank. We immediately called her when the driver arrived to find out why they were locking the tank and to fix the issue. She said we failed to pay. We had set up an arrangement for her to debit our card and she claims she had the wrong info. A few days prior she was given correct info and she had charged our card on that day with no issues. When payment was due again she charged the wrong card. The correct info was given again and she charged the card while the driver was still there, bill was paid. She proceeded to tell us that it was our fault and not her problem we can't pay our bills (even though bill was paid). She proceeded to have the driver lock the tank and shut us down. Then said we had to pay a reconnect fee and proceeded to charge the card again. Then told us that they could not turn the tank back on until the next day. Driver still there. She insulted us multiple times. Calling us liars and saying this was our fault. She has absolutely no care for the well being of customers. Also, when I told her we had a newborn in the house and needed to be able to warm bottles she told me.. I don't care, not my problem. And the owner refuses to handle any issues and help come to a satisfactory conclusion. They don't even deserve 1 star due to the customer service provided! They are not worth the hassle! And yes toward the end of our conversation I used profanity, dropped a few f bombs, not proud of that but the way we were just treated was wrong. And we still have a locked tank, no propane! The bill was paid, driver still here. She refused to unlock the tank! read more

Horrible Customer Service and monetary Extortion to pay for something they said I needed, but not which I approved. This started in the winter of 2021, when I had my 250 gallon tank filled. The serviceman said that the gauge on the tank was not registering, and I would have to let the tank run dry so they could replace the gauge and be sure there was no leaks. Their plan, not mine, and there was no conversation about cost. Unfortunately, I ran out of gas on Thanksgiving and their regular day to be in this area is on Friday, but they were completely booked for that Friday, so I drove back to New Mexico where I was working, and then called to set up a Friday when THEY had time to replace the gauge and fill the tank. We settled on Friday, December 10th and I drove the 800 miles home from New Mexico the day before. When they came to check the tank, they put in a small amount of gas first, and it did register on the gauge, so they decided the gauge was OK and continued to fill the tank, and then said they had to come in the house to check for leaks. I let them in, however the frnace lights automatically and the stove just needs to have the air bled out of the lines, and then I can light it with a lighter I use on the outdoor grill, but they insisted that they had to come inside to check for leaks, so I let them in. Now it is March 4, 2022 and I ran out of gas a week ago, but fortunately we have had a warming spell since the last snowfall earlier this month, so when I ran out of gas last weekend, I decided to wait till their regular service on Friday, March 4th. I called about 11:00am to see what time they would be here, and was told they would be here before 3:00pm to pick up their tank because I had refused to pay a $75 fee for them checking for leaks three months ago, when there was no mention for a $75 fee for something I did not need. I am 78 years old and handicapped but it was just pay or no gas. So I have been on the phone ever since, and a much nicer scheduler at Barrett Propane has promised a new tank and gas for it, no later than tomorrow morning, and maye later this evening. read more
